2019 MTG Old School World Championships!!! ***Deck and format Intro***

- Hey guys! So proud to bring these videos to you finally. I've been teasing them for years now, but haven't had the time to give them the proper treatment. I also couldn't decide on a perfect commentary partner, since Sam Tang wasn't available.
All that changed last month, when Sam visited me in Seattle, and we got to work. With his help, I massively upgraded my sound production, and we recorded commentary for the first three games of the 2019 Old School World Championships top 8.
For your entertainment, I present the first video of that series. It is an intro to the event, and an intro to the deck I played there. It also addresses the controversy that swirled in the aftermath of the 2019 Old School World Champs, and why there was so much confusion in the community.
The next video will be a pure deck tech of my EC Rules 2019 Old School Esper masterpiece. I'll be posting three additional videos after that, and more later in the month when Sam and I can record again. Enjoy! - Sport
The internet went wild with speculation of cheating with that Dust to Dust… but the fact is it never came out in any of the top 8 matches. Which is the proof it was just swapped for the photo.
Swapping for the photo was really not a great choice, but I do get what you were thinking. In hindsight it would have been better to just crush with a sub-par list then verbalize the change.
Brian: I played your exact list at the 2022 Vegas Old School casual event (not an official tournament, but earned participants tickets for prize wall swag). It played very well. Of course, I didn't have the experience & wisdom that you have in piloting the deck, but I did end up in the "top" tables each night of Casual Old School. Looking forward to taking it for another spin again soon! Thanks again! :)

The Epic "THE DECK"! I feel lucky that I have had the pleasure of seeing this legendary deck this in person! Interesting, in the most Recent "Winter Derby" Swedish Old School Magic Tournament, "The Deck" and many variations of it did not take the tournament down!
Welcome back Brian! When I found out that you were once again creating old school content, I feel like a kid on Xmas, hardly able to believe how many presents were under the tree. Even better that they were your matches. Thanks for doing this for all of us Who's down in Whoville.
