They’ve basically taken the Trae Collins lob out of their game which was good for 4-5 baskets a game. He averaged 22 PPG in 2020 and now he’s down to 13
Man it’s crazy how Dlo fell off so much because I remember being so excited when he came to Minnesota, but year by year, his role and efficiency has slowly diminished and his defense has reverted back to being bad after an improvement last year. I hope he turns it around soon
As a nets fans we broke this dude by throwing him to the curb, he had potential to be a perennial all star now he just looks like Goran Dragic

Dlo has always been over rated . Because even at his best he couldn’t defend and he was never efficient . Pick and roll was his bread and butter and honestly he wasn’t that great at anything else but volume inefficient scoring ..
Dlo best Years were with nets before his contract as he was hungry for the bag.. he got the sign and trade and has fell off. Yes he's played good at time with t wolves but no where near as a lead man as a net wich he took too the playoffs

Yea I'm not worried about CJ yet. The team is still adjusting to having Zion back. Their rotations are all messed up too because of major injuries to starting players. Plenty of time for them to start grooving.

Exactly. CJ basically switched positions and became a playmaker, of course his stats are going to vary. Not to mention having to adjust with Zion being back.

CJ is going to bounce back. andy just (obviously) hasnt watched a lot of portland in the last years. CJ always has 8 weeks in the NBA season where he's just unexplainably ass, and then comes back to form.

For me with CJ, I don't think he fell off that hard, I just think because with Zion back for the season, he is pretty much the 3rd man on the team and even with the stats and how he is doing is pretty much an early take on him so far as usually on how I judge a player I give them at least 25 to 30 games

@@1of1fr I’m pels 12 my man! 337,318,504. Recently he’s been looking at his shot more because pels weren’t taking many shots from 3 until these passed couple of games. CJ goes through motions. That’s his game to me tho. Streaky. He gets hot and can go for 30-40 when he is.

Klay should seriously go to the bench, I’ve heard the “he’s been injured for 2 years cut him some slack” he was better last year tho and was even capable of dunking and cutting but now he realizes he’s slowed down and his jump shots might not save his career like he thought it would, also his attitudes gotta change and realize he ain’t that guy no more.

john collins biggest problem rn is his 3 ball. if he shoots at a rate higher than 22% and closer to his career avg of 36% his scoring will go up majorly, especially considering how many 3s hes taking a game
CJ will pick it up soon bruh. He is slowly getting back to his usual form and I believe that when healthy, the Pelicans can have a solid playoff run with him as the veteran leader.

I think Collins would fit well with a team like the Heat, who tend to play more methodically on offense. Plus, Miami has a lot of good defenders, so they could compensate for his defensive shortcomings.

How can you say CJ fell off? This is ridiculous lol, he's averaged 19.1 points career and is 18.9 for this season smh... sure he's had some off games but he also has other stars on the team.... If you actually watch Pel's play it's team ball, everyone is scoring... not just 1-2 players
Exactly. Even if he's having a bad season doesn't mean he fell off. He was great last season especially in the playoffs vs the suns
I mean… Paul is like top 5 in the league in assists and steals and Suns are still really good. He hasnt blown bye anyone in years. Once his shot starts falling, he’ll be fine.

I dont agree with mccolums placement. If all thats happened is that someones effeciency has dipped a bit thats not that much of a drastic drop out and can definitvly be cleared up
Chris Paul is averaging 9 PPG and shooting poorly but he's still extremely valuable to the Suns. On the court (ORtg is 127 and DRtg is 110) 17 point swing towards the good. Also his DBPM (2.0) and OBPM (1.6) are both very good numbers. Suns are just a lot better when he's out on the court regardless of how bad he's shooting he is after all averaging 9.4 AST. He's slightly underperforming his contract but not by much.
The only reason he's still averaging all those assists is because his scoring ability has gone down the tubes, and he knows it. He's a role player now.

Props for continuing to give Klay the criticism he deserves when so many NBA analysts on networks and on social media refuse to. He's been the biggest problem for the Warriors thus far, and it's his own fault for not doing any training in the offseason.
I don't believe his falloff is from a lack of training he just isn't prime klay anymore he took back to back season ending injuries right when he was reaching the 30 age bracket the age bracket where you run the chance of physically declining as an athlete
@@mxhughes It's definitely that too. But that plus his lack of training has led to him being one of the worst players in the league right now, the worst starting SG for sure.

It’s not even that man, his shot selection is so dumb. So many off balance mid range turn around jumpers and heat check threes. He’s not taking good shots it’s really annoying. During the playoffs he was also one of their problems last year.
Klay to me is always been a spot of shooter that only run behind screens
FYI McCullom has the 2nd best plus/minus on the Pels and is at a career best for APG. He's just in a shooting slump right now but he's distributing and playing better defense than he ever has. He's been good despite the splits.

Chris Paul was extended through the next 3 seasons at $30mill/per. Imagine paying a guy scoring single digits $90 Million? At least they were able to get Deandre Ayton to sign his extension. Ayton rewarded the Suns with averaging 14 PPG and 7 RBD yes another disappointment. He was supposed to get better not worse! Could be worse though at least he isn't Ben Simmons.
I think CJ will do okay, Pelicans are just facing injuries right now.
Hate to see players fall off man!! Hate it!! Hopefully they find their niche somewhere!!
John Collins IS amazing, he just don't get touches on the Hawks like that anymore. He's still the best lob finisher on the squad, as well as a great defender (unless someone foul baits him to death)

Klay Thompson definitely does feel like he’s starting to turn into THJ , but yeah he’s having a rough stretch of games now shooting the ball and he’s lost that confidence when those two rough injuries he’s had

There is an explanation for CJs early struggles. He got sick two different times early in the season and that caused him to be more fatigued and he was having trouble getting his legs under him. He is back to being great now though, as I expected

As someone that watches the hawks religiously the problem with John Collins is there are just people on the team that do what he does better. John is usually a solid shooter (though he can’t buy a 3 this year) but there are just better shooters to get open. He’s a great PnR big and lob threat but the issue is Capela is better than John at it so Capela gets more lobs. It’s just hard to think of plays for John when there are better options.

I agree he’s been treated bad he’s been in the trade block for 3 years and he’s a big name that doesn’t have plays written for him. However he averaged 20 when the hawks were dogshit and he was the only other good player besides Trae. Dejounte, Capela, Bogi, etc. we’re not on the team yet so he had a much higher usage. You don’t have to like my explanation however it is the logical reasoning. Why would you make a play for John when there is someone that can play his part better?
to me dangelo russell and chris paul has a lot of games left to improve themselves its still early in the season so rn we have plenty of time left to see whether or not they improve. as for john collins well that depends on the coach and how will use collins moving forward and lastly Cj like russell and cp3 he has a ton of games left to play to improve but rn he is struggling but again he has time to train and get right before the play in tournament and playoffs start

I think saying CJ came crashing down from last season is WAYYY too much of a stretch. His production is still really good especially with Zion being back, and the only numbers you showed that really had a massive difference from the season prior is his Catch n Shoot numbers. His pullup FG% is only like 2% worse with ~1 less attempt and the shots within 10 feet are also relatively similar to last year lol.

John Collins ain't fell off he playing a role. If he go to a team that let him do whatever he want his numbers would look better

I think Klay will still get to about 90% of what he once was. He had a great game last night with 41 points on 10 threes (November 20, 2022 vs. Rockets) and is still finding his footing.

I think with CJ it’s similar to what happened with Brogdon where on the bucks he was mostly off ball and then joining they pacers they had him be the primary guy and his shooting fell off

somewhat disagree with cj, his shooting is definitely a lil off but he's done a pretty good job so far running the point guard position for the pels
i wish the nets honestly kept d lo and that young core. Yeah it’s KD and Kyrie but as a die hard nets fan i haven’t been excited for them until 2018-2019 season. most fun and entertaining season from the nets in awhile, i’d rather hav d lo and the core with the draft picks

I'm confused on CJ because he was speaking about 21-22 which is last year like its this year, and speaking like 22-23 was last year
People don’t understand fall off. Look at the results these players put up in proper minute rotation,Great looks/passes,and able to feel free. Collins is being done like Blake griffin and D12. It means he’s being just a pick/roll or lob threat. Collins has more then his athleticism,his shooting is great,post game is good(need footwork help),passing is underrated. He’s a beast playing with somebody controlling the offense as 1st opt in trae. If the Luka trae trade proved something it’s proving they’re equally the same as far as winning and a quick rise to success. Dlo to me is just tired of being on the wolves and want out. Of course he’s had some inconsistencies this season ,but look at the wolves. They got Rudy gobert and a role player for the future. Investing in dlo,KAT,and ant which all three are inconsistent “All stars”. Hopefully later In the season things will be changed or adjusted for the 2nd/3rd best players on the team.
