So someone explain to me. Simmons 'tweaked' his back in a non-contact moment during play, and has missed like 40+ games (includes last season) from it. Is it simply a recurring sore back (I have those every day), or something is seriously messed up with his spine/nerves now??? If it's the former case, just tough it out and play. If it's the latter (which seems more like it according to him), get major surgery, sit out am entire season and come back. Or simply retire

You don’t know basketball. I’m a huge fan of cam Thomas game and I consider him their best scorer but he’s placed on the bench to help keep the scoring going when the starters are out. It’s smart because cam was a starter teams would just pile on points when the bench is in

Nets has no superstars so they run a basic rotation with a lot of bench players getting minutes

I have had the same injury and operation and it is like no other injury. There's nothing you can do to speed up the recovery and honestly every day is an unknown. You can have a great day and the next day your leg just doesn't work. If you wanna see what happens when you rush back from a microdisectomy just look at Tiger Woods.
What happened with Ben is closer to like when an injury ruins an already good career, except the injury was mental.

Ben Simmons and Chandler Parsons careers are so similar its uncanny.
Both showed a TON of promise, got massive contracts, then spent 4-5 years missing 70-80% of each season until the league saw them out the door. They both will forever be remembered for their first five years and admonished for the last five.
But that's not fair to Chandler Parsons. He clearly loved basketball and was trying to get back on the court. Ben, I think, is just taking the easy way out..
