@@gtvmixes6086 True, and with Ben and Josh it wasn't all Pistons fault either. They were really trying to show they world that they could be THAT guy and it turned out that neither one was. Im not saying the Pistons were innocent, but I am saying the failures aren't entirely the Pistons fault. More than anything it was a joke for other Pistons fans to we could laugh about the past a little bit as we get ready to enjoy the future.

I never understood why Lance left, I always liked Stephenson on the Pacers. He gives the team energy and personality which I enjoyed

I remember when Ben Gordon was tearing it up for the Bulls in the 2009 playoffs. That series with the Celtics was so fun to watch.
Still to this day, that’s one of the greatest series I’ve ever seen. It was like the NBA Finals during the first round 1. We were spoiled with a lot of clutch shots.
Was that the series with like 4 of 7 games that went into at least one overtime? Best series ever?
I also remember John Salmons playing out of his mind 🤣

Blake was still decent when he was in his early days in Detroit. He averaged 24 points in 2019, his career high in points and still an all star. That injury he suffered before the 2019 playoffs really ruined his prime.
I’d have Steve Francis in the top 3, dude was a 26 year old 3 time all star in his prime who got traded to Orlando had a decent season then fell off completely… No injuries involved either just pure wildin…

@@SolusFather Naw he had migraines when he was with Houston, that was the reason we only won 20 games and got the number 1 draft pick(Yao)… With Orlando he got suspended due to conduct detrimental to the team then traded to NY. He later said he started wildin because they traded Kelvin Cato who he was close with, he also got upset they traded Cuttino Mobley whom he was in the league with his entire career at that point.
I think the separation from CAT affected Francis more.
During the Orlando/NY days, you can see that Steve's passion for the game is down. Age also caught up to him as he is not as athletic as before. But still, strange he just fell off the map.

Allen Iverson just finished his second season with the Nuggets scoring 26.4 points on good efficiency while playing all 82 games during the regular season. Why would anyone insist on him being a bench player the next season with the Pistons? David Stern tried to ruin man's career around every corner.
Because he was a ball dominant undersized guard.
Like Lou Williams.
Because Iverson was ISO heavy player. he could only be effective with ball in his hands but he was undersized and with age he was dropping off. Selfish undersized players who love shooting much more than passing are better fitted to being 6th men than starters. Lou Williams is a prime example of that.

ben wallace and carlos boozer. they were both one dimensional players who had great success on teams that catered to their strength but ruined their careers when they chased the most money and joined the bulls. richard jefferson is another one. i thought he would fit great with the spurs but his career went downhill.
Carlos Boozer was still productive with the Bulls.

when I think of Josh Smith, I think of the historic comeback he lead vs the clippers in the playoffs. I think that deserved a mention at least

My boy Lauri prob in the top 3 players to become an actual all star and show why they just needed better coaching! The Finnisher fits so well on Utah but it's a few Eastern teams that become true contenders if they get him!

Eh the jury's still out on Blake Griffin. He's having a resurgence on the Nets and he was never exactly BAD when he played for the Pistons. I'd say it's more that he gained a lot by playing next to Point God Chris Paul and when he didn't have him getting him easy buckets anymore we got to see what he was really like on his own. The Pistons were just where we got to see that.

I actually liked the way Iverson went out. It embodies everything we know and love about him. I could never imagine A.I playing behind a player he knows couldn’t tie his laces during his prime
I'm not too mad about the way AI went out, but I can only imagine what he could've been if he actually played as a 6th man in his twilight years.
How about a vid specifically about Latrell Spreewell’s 93-94 season and why 21, 4, and 4 was able to get him a All NBA First Team nod?
It was a time before advanced stats. Spre was the second-highest scoring guard in the league, only behind Mitch Richmond, but Richmond played for a terrible team while Spre and the Warriors made the playoffs.
Just as importantly, Jordan was out of the league and the voters didn't know who was "Next."

Iverson still had a lot of great basketball left in him through the Detroit, Memphis, and Philly years. The problem was that he was finally blackballed by that point.
AI blackballed himself lol. He was a ball dominant undersized guard who could only give you scoring. Look at how much better the Nuggets were when they had Chauncey instead of him. AI should have swallowed his pride and accepted a role off the bench.

Scottie Pippen was still productive afterwards in his stint in Portland. He didn't fall of the map completely, but just simply declined like any other player.

It’s hard to build around a guy like IT. He’s too small to play defense and you’d have to constantly hide him defensively. Hard to sign a guy to a super max who can’t play defense and is so small. IT was the product of a college coach who wanted to get creative. But props to him he played his ass off

Andrew Bynum was the second best center in the league and the Lakers traded him in a 4-team-deal for Dwight Howard. Bynum went from being an All-NBA second team and All-Star to retirement with 25 years of age in 2014

Um the man refused to adjust his game (by that I mean team ball) He was in 76'ers for too long and it was kind of detrimental to his growth. Dude is a beast no doubt but relying on him for all those years than to suddenly ask him to trust in his teammates is a big change.

Danny Ainge was what happened to Isaiah Thomas. He low-balled IT after a heroic playoff performance. I know that he shouldn't get a max due to his hip injury but trading him away to another team, even though he was super loyal to the city of Boston. That's just messed up.

As a Sonics fan Im surprised you left Vin "double chin" Baker off this list. He was a 3x All-Star with the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to the Seattle Super Sonics. He had one lone All-Star appearance in his first season with Seattle in 1997 but after that he was done. He had a decent season in 2000 but no where near the player he was in Milwaukee.

I am a big iverson fan but the truth is that he didn't drop off after being traded from denver. from the looks of it, something had happened in the offseason before the trade, his numbers had decline from something like 26ppg in the previous season to like 19, and he seemed sluggish in the few games he played in denver prior to the trade. then they traded him for billups etc, and in detroit he dropped to like 14ppg, so people think that the decline occured after the trade. but his production had fallen significantly even in the few games he played in denver at the start of that season. minor clarification, carry on (Y)

At first, I thought Lance would be a good pickup for Charlotte but then of course he dropped off right after. Oh btw those media outlets have no such right questioning why Lance only fit in with the Pacers because quite frankly they were the only team who truly understands him personality wise to which the other 7 teams he played don't.

Josh Howard from the Mavs and Kemba Walker both had bad careers after leaving the teams they were doing good with.
Lamar Odom story is sad. I felt the Lakers built his career on and off the court. He was a 2 time champion and then Lakers traded him. I hope Lamar life continues well.
The Lamar Odom's problem was to take part to the Kardashians tv shows, he was no longer thinking on basketball..
