A friend of mine bought one new in 02. His was the dark blue I think it’s called True Blue.
His came with the black honeycomb grill . He had the Swede seats redone back in 2020. He still has the truck with 140k on her. Sweet ride for sure.
Still looks great and has been garage kept all its life.
Did some mods to it .. 4 lb pulley and dyno tune.
417 rwhp. Ran a best of 12.6 @ 106 mph.

Question about the stereo. Do they have one that works in the cobras? Looks like that screen is glass? I wanna upgrade my old alpine touch to something with Apple/android that has a harder screen with minimal/no knobs

Hell yes! I’m familiar with these and JLP parts. I installed their cold air kit on my best friend’s 2001 Lightning. He gave me an H&K USP .45 and in exchange I bought him the JLP cold air and installed it. I won!

I rode with my cousin when he got a new one in 02'. And it had crazy handling on lower speed tight curves in town. I was waiting for the back to break loose.

The hair dryer voltage selector is just a mechanical switch, If you where to use the this dryer in UK it will only allow you to use on the low setting cutting the current in half.
Hell yeah.. Congrats on getting a lightning i had a sliver 01 a few years back and miss it. Wish i would have never sold it! But i do still have my dads gen 1 lightning! Sweet trucks for sure!

I also have a 2002 Ford Lightning that I got in the Navy in 2009. I have had it ever since and replaced the motor after the intercooler pump quit while it was hot and it grenaded the motor.

Real nice trucks. I just sold my 2001 Lightning. Those wheels are 01-02 only. 03-04 had their own as did 99-00.

I’d pull that center seat and install a center console simply for the storage and the better cup holders and more sporty look. Good buy though. It really deserves to be given some good loving. It’s “CUSTOME” 😂😂

god i've always loved the 2nd gen lightning. have to admit. im not a big fan of the later wheels likes on this one, the honeycomb grill and earlier wheels had a much better aesthetic imo.. beautiful truck bro congrats and cant wait to see what you have for us with this thing

@@alexdavis6566 New to me, found a 2010 GT500 that’s lived its whole life in Texas (I’m from the rust belt). It’s really well maintained and cared for. My neighbors however will want to end me with this vehicles exhaust. 😂

I first saw the 2nd gen in a magazine back in 1998,I knew I wanted one. I finally bought a new red one in 01, I still have it and it only has 10k miles on it. Never driven in rain, and I only put about 1k on it in the last ten years.

woohoo!!! of the hundreds of hours a week i watch YT the SVT Lightning is not usually recommended! i met a family who had 5 in the family, I met them early in my career as a mortician. we had them lined up in front of the funeral home for his service and had a prestine example, race truck, his daily and everything in between. mad respect!
