My favorite is the grungy graffiti collage. What a fun prompt! I have a whole basket of images I have harvested from magazines, and I am looking forward to having a play.

More fun pages, Nina. The strips piece was my favorite. The Daphne magazine certainly has some fun bits to use.
I look at magazines different way from now on thanks to You!!!... Using flyers and used magazines make this project low budget. I love low budget projects!!! I wish I could have more of free magazines around here! 😄

thank you so much. I used to do art journalling years ago, you have inspired me to pick up the tools and have another play!! And I have an idea to make a journal with backgrounds for photos of my granddaughter, a different kind of scrapbook.

Hi Nina, I love your videos and enjoy watching you work through your creative journey. This video taught me so much and you showed me a whole new way to look at magazine images and how to put them together to make beautiful art. I usually just look at images as they are and never think to take different pieces from them to add to something else. I also never think to rotate images. You have opened my eyes!! Thank you.

I had so much fun experimenting and creating. For years I have save magazine clippings not knowing what to do with them...I am crazy about junk journaling and will enjoy following your creations. Watching you go through the magazines was fun. And, you and I have the same taste! I picked out the same pics you did.... Funny. I even made a similar picture as yours. The one with the stripes. I used leftover scrap paper from my scraps drawer. Glued it to an index card. I never really finished it. However, if I can borrow from your ideas. Will maybe stamp a number, then stencil something. Your tea page was my favorite. Oh, but the butterfly picture that you did another day was incredible! The absolute best of them all. I have always loved collage. It's fun, isnt it. Easy and relaxing.

We are very fortunate here as our broadsheet Sunday newspapers all carry magazine supplements and they are a great resource and where the majority of my magazine images come from 💕
'Craft A little Everyday' is my fav. reminds me a bit of Cat Hand's work😀

These are such a fun project. I love working with magazines. I think I have done some of my most creative work with them. Sometimes we treat our stash as too precious to use and get right to cutting and gluing on discarded mags. It really gives permission to creative at an authentic level. Love it!
I completely agree with you Marsha, and I am definitely a culprit of hoarding into the ‘precious’ stuff 💕
I love ALL of these. I really like the grunge of "craft everyday", the simplicity of "tea", and the artsy of "owl". I think I will add creating these magazine journals as an art project for my daughter's 9th grade home school portfolio. Thanks!

Who knew? I especialy like the first one. I have several files full of magazine images, but I have difficulty visualizing how to use them effectively. It would never have entered my head to rip that beautiful red gown off or to turn the steps sideways. Think I need more practice. Thanks for yet another inspirational video. Happy crafting!

Thanks for such wonderful ideas, they all came out beautiful, but the one that "speaks to me" is the third, graffiti art. It was so interesting watching you make the random composition. I'm going to have to give it a try. It seems very forgiving, so I imagine you could go anywhere with a design base like this. Thanks again!

Started to look through my throw away catalogs and professional journals - I am a CPA and get lots of technical magazines. I started to cut them up and definitely had a moment where I was reliving my childhood, and making a poster board for a school project. The words and the different type used were so interesting cut up and sitting on their own. Makes you look at things differently. Thanks again for the inspiration.

These were fun and inspiring pages! I have never been able to part with my old Somerset Studio magazines for just this purpose. My favorite was the graffiti page but I liked them all.
