I'm from Tennessee in the U.S., and I love John Muir. I'm so proud he's a Scot, too. My ancestors came to America from Scotland long ago. You and Nina Ribena provide many good hours of journaling tutorials for me, and I appreciate them all.

This project reminded me of a small book with leaf pages I made with the words of John Carlos William's poem Spring and all.

What a beautiful statement is made through the images and the quote. (We) Scots have contributed a great deal to America, and in fact the world. My DNA is quite a blend of mostly British cultures, but has Native American, African, and as far away as Micronesia!!! I appreciate you sharing that bit of history concerning Muir in your narrative. Lovely results.

Such a beautiful idea, Kylie. I'm encouraged to find a poem and magazine images to do a similar project. I like the use of backgrounds becoming forgrounds then becoming backgrounds again to the words to form a rhythmical movement of its own. Thank you for sharing this idea.
How lovely! John Muir a great hero of mine too, and last year visited his home in California, which was open to the public. Hope to visit his birthplace too one day.

Forgive me, at first I thought, meh, not for me, but it worked out so beautifully with the poem and the ‘aging’ with the sepia ink. Absolutely beautiful, thank you. I will definitely be having a go at this. We’ll see if it’s worth sharing when I finish it!
