Trying out a new to me fishing technique for catching some big creek bass. tiny yum dinger wacky rigged. largemouth bass, redeye coosa bass
mouse creek, Cleveland, tennessee
Hands down my favorite way to catch em. So versatile too. 1/0 red gamakatsu ewg hook, watermelon/gold flake yum dinger. They can’t say no
Thanks for listing the size hook and color for us beginners.
Thanks again !
Me too.. it's a killer
That's awesome! I really like watching all of your creek fishing adventures.
Yeah! I love watching his vids. He always does an excellent job!
thanks I always appreciate the support
We
Went to Academy yesterday for no apparent reason , of course I bought several things that I didn’t need . Another great video , thanks .
So that happen to everyone? I thought I only happens to me
Those gamakatsu hooks are great. I use the octopus circle hooks with soft plastics (despite every internet pro advising to only use circle hooks with bait) and have never missed a strike. Great vid 👍🏼
YAH I have used them a few times and seem to work good
That is, John. This right up my alley instead of the full size wacky set ups I've not done as well with as a beaver style ned.
Great stuff... little wacky rigs...use it a lot, but not on a small scale..may need to give it a shot this week
Love the Cleveland area. My wife went to Lee U so we visit often. Will have to find me a creek next time we go and give this rig a try. Love watching the videos.
Awesome video! Love your channel
thankyou
I've got a bunch of these small senko's I need to bust out and catch something with. Greaet video.
Nice man! Those were some good looking fish. That first one was a jumbo!
Great video, always looks like fun
thanks it was
Don’t stop doing you John, just don’t forget to take me along❣️🙏🏼
Awesome!! Daniel from Arms family homestead sent me over. Glad he did!
thanks hope you like it
Daniel sent me. Looks like some good videos.. Excited to learn some new stuff!
thanks, hope I don't disappoint
Used the 3 inch dinger like this too. I dig put a weedless hook on it and added a small split shot because it fell to slow and helped with casting.
Awesome man thanks for sharing.
thankyou for watching
LOOOOVE the ol' wacky rig! One of my favorite! Never thought of using one in the creek. Definitely will now! Love catching those rock bass as well! Some say they are good eating, idk. Great job man!
thanks, glad to see you were able to get a few nice bass also
Yes it was pretty great till the wind kicked up.
Daniel from Arms family homestead sent me over here, said you really got it going on. I subbed and hit the bell also. Looking forward to watching some fishing videos.
good to hear, there aught to be something interesting
the wacky rig catches me more bass than any other rig!
Going to try the same setup this afternoon, using the Yum 3" Grn Pumpkin/ Chartreuse tail. Also picked up a Yo-Zuri Snap Bean to test this afternoon.
i caught several green sunfish yesterday on 3'' yum dingers, how did your fishing go?
Nice! I got some really small worms 20 plus years ago and they are a 3rd that size. I have planned to wacky rig them this spring/summer and see.
that would be interesting, hope it works out, would love to see that video
Cheers!! Daniel sent me🐟🐟😍😍🤗🤗😍
thankyou
Arms family homestead gave your channel the thumbs up so you have a new subscriber!!
thanks, glad to have you
Arms Family Homestead sent me over. Awesome vids!- reminds me of fishing Little Cypress Creek that ran across some land my dad owned when I was younger! New sub!!!!
RonBootsFarm thanks, my family moved beside a little creek when I was 4 or 5 and I’ve always loved fishing in them since.
Creek Fishing Adventures awesome!
Wacky rigged plastic worms always my go to, fish them weightless. Occasionally I like weightless Texas rig. Do well on largemouth and smallmouth bass in NJ on the wacky rig.
Senkos are my go to for the rivers and creeks here in NE Ohio. They work great dead sticking them wacky style or regular in current. Best part is they may not catch huge bass but they’ll catch quantity. I’m all about catching anything so they work for me.
yah I just want to get a bite when fishing, thanks
Next time I go fishing I am going to try this.
A new subscriber here. Arms Family Homestead brought me to your channel. Enjoyed the video.
thanks, glad you liked it
Late to the parth, as usual, darn it! My wife watched this with me. Her reaction? (fair warning: you probably won't like it) "What?! There are a bunch of beautiful filets swimmimg away!" Yeah, I know. She just doesn't understand catch-and-release fishing for what's considered an invasive bunch of fish introduced here in the PNW (Pacific Northwest) in the early 1900s. They are responsible for a lot of the decimation of our native salmonids. Still, a nice size bass on 4 lb line does produce a great adrenaline rush! Thank you for this sendup.
gotta be my favorite method!
I’m lil late to the party but sweet video!Seems like a solid channel Keep up the quality content 👌🏽
Thanks so much
gonna have to get some and try this with little circle hooks .
Just discovered your channel, subscribed like your videos and I like the bible verses at the end.
new bait to try 😎
Throwing the ole YUM DINGER! This is Luke from TNGA by the way! started a new channel. Good content! We need to collaborate if the weather ever makes up its mind! Keep it up brother!
thanks man, that sounds good
Use the worm on tail very good
Impressive technique. I wonder if it will work on trout? Good video.
im not sure on that, it could
What rod and reel are you using?
Great video as usual. What size split shot/drop shot hook are you using in this video? Also, I know you like to fish Mouse Creek in Cleveland and I wondered if this was Mouse Creek or some other creek in or around Cleveland. I am a subscriber and I really enjoy your videos.
i have been using a size 1 and slightly larger when using this setup, yes this was on the upper part of mouse creek.
👍👊🎣
i live in ohio so we don't really get big giant massive bass around here. i use 3 inch dingers 90% of the time i'm using these lures and i've caught a crazy amount of 2, 3, and 4 pounders on them. i don't know if it's just my location or what, but small lures have always worked better for catching bigger fish. my biggest bass ever was a 6 pounder and i caught it on a 4 inch lizard.
I like using the smaller lures because all sizes seem to go for it, I don’t want to only fish for the big ones
@conedx - Ohio fisherman here too. What type and size hook do use?
Fun. So I couldn't tell, was the worm floating or sinking? What color worm did you use?
oh yah I forgot to say it was pumpkin peppermint green and it slowly sunk into the water
My best fish have been on a yum dinger. Need to try to smaller ones. I was fishing a creek today that had nice bass in it. They wouldn't bite anything. I caught a bunch of red breast and bluegill. I threw the big yum dinger at them on a weightless Texas rig no luck.
That’s aggravating but a good day on the sunfish. Sometimes it seems the only thing they will hit is live bait or just catch them when they are ready to eat
Nice man my videos aren’t really getting any attention like I only get 14 views were I used to get like 30 and 40 I wonder what happend any ideas? Nice fishing man remember to try the spot near Home Depot!
it just takes time and keep working on getting better making the videos while also getting better at fishing.
I’ve been fishing a few creaks that lead into watts bar in Roane county
been doing any good? is the water clear
Creek Fishing Adventures the water is normally crystal clear but it’s been Raining all weekend so it’s a little stirred up but I moved to the area few months back and haven’t had any luck
OutdoorDraper ok. I may have to go check out that area this summer. I like the clear creeks around here but the fishing has been kind of slow because the weather this year
My pb bass (7 pounds) was on a wacky rig
This is the only video that has the YUM Dinger 3 inch. In it I want this for fishing on smaller bass, bluegill, white bass.
Nice Vid John! What size hook is that?
i think it was a 2 circle hook
Hook size you use
Gollyday them bass are healthy out there at the village green
Yah they always look good there
Proof that size does not matter
Hey man try out zoom baby brush hogs
Hiwassee Angler ok I’ll have to get those
What have we learned?
05:47 You should've had that one mounted.
if i only had a wall big enough for it
@@CreekFishingAdventures You've got a good sense of humor!
Haha, well if nothing else I'm beginning to identify coosa bass when I see one. Credit to John for passing that along.
what hook is that
Fishing with Kev it was a wacky rig/ finesse hook. I got it from Walmart but I’ve tried to get some more but can’t fine them
Creek Fishing Adventures ohh ok thanks
Dont reel against your drag it will twist your line
you know i am bad about that, i need to work on that for sure
I get the white 3 inch dingers and cut them in half and put it on and ultra light rod with a crappie jig head on it and it slays bass in pressured pond lakes and rivers easily my favorite bait. Everyone is like use the 5 or 6 inch dingers or senkos and other giant baits but the little ones slay too
