I cannot get over how confident and put together you are as a new mom and especially a mom of twins! I see a lot of frazzled stressed out neurotic moms so I applaud your parenting style. You seem to be a fantastic mom J & V are so lucky! Love your videos Kendra!
Kristin aw thank you!
I'm due with twin girls in august, I need to save this video! So helpful :)
This Gathered Nest Love your family and vlogs. So cool to see we watch the same youtubers. I live in London, so watching your family and your vlogs is so interesting to me because it's a completely different lifestyle but it really inspires me in many ways. All the best with your twin girls 💟
Loved your baby girl revel
Congratulations! I miss when mine were babies! I've got a 6 year old girl & an 8 yr old boy! There is nothing like when they are little, but it's great watching them grow up. My daughter wants to "read" everything. It's fascinating how fast kids learn so fast. One day they scribbled, next they are reading! :)
This Gathered Nest when is your due date in due in august as well with identicals
Hush up
I like how you say in the beginning "when they were babies" like they're all grown up now :)
haha I know!
Just a small tip to anyone: if your baby is sleeping in the same room as you and waking up frequently throughout the night, try moving her/him to a different room. Babies have heightened senses when they're newborns and can smell your milk. Thus, they will wake up often for feeding.
Ya that's why I have to be careful when I check on them! They totally wake up sometimes.
I love how relaxed your parenting style is! I'm very similar. I had so many eyebrows raised at me because I didn't jump the moment my baby cried. We also set nap and sleep routines early on and we have reaped the benefits of a great sleeper!!! Your a rock start! I'm so impressed with how easy you have made having twins look!! Love your videos 😊
Bree Moen seriously so important to let self soothe! There's another comment on here that roasted Kendra for letting them cry. Letting my daughter cry was one of the best things we ever did. She's three now and sleeps in a twin bed in her own room and never wakes up.
I have given myself a really hard time at first because I never ever let my baby boy cry and he could not self soothe for the first months. I had to rock him to sleep for hours a day. After that I was so exhausted that I decided it has to end. I introduced a strict routine, let him cry a little and now he sleeps through the night and is a good sleeper during the day. I hope that women will not be stigmatized for not jumping at each cry of their children!
Happiest Baby on the Block helped me so much too in the the beginning. I totally agree with the swaddle thing. We moved our daughters to their rooms (3 girls - not twins or anything) within a few weeks too. We all slept so much better! The sleep topic is really tricky, but once you get it under control, life is so much better! After my babies started breaking out of swaddles and getting older, we used sleep sacks with/without arms. Also, we have a small fan in the corner of all of our rooms for white noise.
My boy/girl twins are 12 weeks now this was so helpful! Thank you! New subscriber! ❤️
I am expecting twin girls in July and this video was so helpful. You are amazing, thank you!!
I LOVE how real you keep it Kendra! YA! You're a wonderful Mommy of twins!!
Thanks!
Video liked so I can come back to this when I have my baby in September. I'm not having twins but I hope I can get a schedule down so early like you have!
Thank you so much for this video! I also have 12 weeks old twins. It is comforting to know that you are not alone! We have a similar schedule. Congrats for your twins:)
You are so put together and organized! I envy you that you had some help from the beginning, my husband works 7-17 and we live very far away from our parents. So important to get some help!
So glad I discovered your channel!! I'm in love with your family😂😍 The twins are so beautiful as is their Mumma❤❤❤

I remember how much work it was having twin babies! My girls are 2 now. It gets easier! Hang in there! You're doing great!!
I'm due in August with twins too!! this was soooooooooo helpful!!! love your vlogs!
It's seriously amazing to me how quickly you got this mom to twin infants thing down so fast! I'm so impressed! Hope I'm half as productive as you when my baby comes haha
You're such a great mom, my baby girl is due in June! Also love your background 😊
Krista McRae I'm due at the beginning of June with baby girl, she's baby number two (:
Loved this video! I have five and three year old boys, and just learned we are expecting twins in April/May. This made me slightly less afraid!
Loved this video, your twins are SO cute:)
thanks for the tips, i will have a baby boy soon.
You're such a good mom Kendra 😘❤❤
Our schedules seem pretty similar... enjoyed this video!!
It's really funny for us since swaddling and cosleeping has been going on for hundreds of years in my place 😁
I've just ordered a swaddle up! You're doing amazingly! I find it hard work with just one little girl.
So glad to hear you're going to try a Swaddle UP! Please do let us know how it works out for your little one x
SWADDLING: I swaddle my 9 weeks old twin boys with their arms out. Works great, they love it and they don’t fight me. Love your videos ❤️
Kendra, I love the show shark tank and you swaddled issue made me comment. there is a product seasons back called a zippety zip, I think, that is a onsie swaddled for newborn through toddler age. it has covers for their hands and feet to feel like they're in the womb. I wanna get one when I have kids. I hope this helps with that! I know swaddling is important for good sleep. love you and your family..especially when your hubby vlogs..he's hilarious. .PS he reminds me of Chris Pratt
love from SF
I can't stop watching your videos so helpful im expecting twin boys in may 💙💙
Great to hear! Congrats!
Love your hair in this video! Tutorial please! Have a great day
walkerfamily2002 coming soon!
What camera light do you use?
Why do some people say not to put the dockatot in their cribs?? I'm due in June...just curious!
Yes good call on the rock and play. My son got a flat spot from it which led to him having to wear a cranial molding helmet, and lots of therapy to not favor one side lol your girls are adorable and you are one amazing momma!
My twins turned 2 a couple days ago and won’t stop climbing out of their cribs for nap and night. My one cried at the door for at least an hour before my husband went in with him. Not sure what’s going on now but I don’t know what to do :( I work from home and need them to sleep during the day and at night
The code for the Dock aTot isn't working
Kendra have you heard of wonder weeks? You should read it and get the app, it was so helpful.
Yes I use that!
Love it... as u talk about ur husband mine was just walking in and as u speak he was laughing so hard, because u just described him I don't ask for help anymore cause it was more difficult to get him to get up and feed one baby... and i am always afraid that he would drop the baby, so i do it by myself l.😂😂😂 but it was pretty funny. Life with twins is crazy but rotine is the key. 😘😊
So glad to hear the girls (and you!) love the Swaddle UP 50/50! X
I have 5 month old twins and just started sleep training. When you sleep trained did you keep them in the same room/crib for naps and overnight?
I have 7 week old ID girls and this was really helpful x
P.s. I think they are really starting to look more like you, especially their eyes 😊
I have a two year old and a five month old. I am so excited for us to move so we can move our little girl to her own room cause she must have restless less syndrome when she sleeps she kicks constantly and keeps me awake. I can't wait till my girl can sleep unswaddled and can put her own soother back in herself. My son never took a soother but my daughter found her thumb minutes after she was born.
Super helpful! I'm expecting twin girls in June. Do you think the healthy sleep, happy twins book is worth reading while pregnant or not really until later on?
Clomid & Cosmetics aw gemini twins?!
can you do a makeup collection soon?
Holly Flaxman sure!
How are they already 3 months?? Whatttttt
Liv Jane I know!
Great video! Where is your hoodie from? :)
Victoria Docter thanks! American eagle
When they started to sleep in their nursery at a month did you wake up every couple hours to feed?
Lac31250 yep!
You will be so happy you developed this sleep schedule when they are toddlers! I see so many of my friends who rocked their kids to sleep, etc, having so many issues trying to get their toddlers to sleep in their own beds and stay in their own rooms. We were strict from the get go and it was actually my husband that came up with a sleep schedule at worked for us. Now, at three years old, she hops right in her bed, we cover her, kiss her good night and leave the room. She never gets out of bed. She never wakes up. 👍
Kiki Mincks Roten There's nothing wrong with rocking a baby to sleep. I never let my daughter cry it out or forced a sleep schedule and now she sleeps through the night in her own bed at 2. Research studies have found that babies who are are met with quick and compassionate responses to their cries end up being more independent and secure later on. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3422632/ www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3145034/
That's great that it worked for you, but some people find to let them cry for a little bit helps in the long run. By no means am I saying I let my daughter cry for hours or anything. I never let her cry longer than 10 minutes before scooping her up. Every baby is different and every mom and dad find their own schedule that works best.
Kiki Mincks Roten ya I never let them cry that long at all! But usually their pacifier just fell out or something and then they will stop.
You are doing everything perfectly Kendra! Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise. 😊
Although there is nothing wrong with feeding to sleep if it works for you. What works for one child and family wont work for another. I personally don't let my kids self sooth or cry to sleep but if it works for you. I breastfed and held my first to sleep for almost a year and he is 3 years now and sleeps on his mattress in our room. My second is 18 months and Im doing the same bed sharing, breastfeeding to sleep although I only held her while she slept until about 7 months, now I feed her to sleep and then can transfer her to my bed. Good job motherhood can be hard but very rewarding and we are all different
Do you find that they wake each other up? How many camera monitors do you have in their nursery?
No their cries never wake each other up. And we have two cameras, one facing each girl.
Hi Kendra! Up to how many months old did your girls use the swaddle ups? My son keeps breaking out of his swaddles which wakes him up at night. I’m hoping this will help him sleep through the night!
I can't remember! Eventually they used the zip up gowns. They actually still do at night now.
Lord!!! Its so much!!!!! I'm scared!!!!
Oh my gosh my husband is the same way with the babies. I use to wake him up and he would be in a trance. Lol I was always worried about him holding the kids. Now I just do it myself. 😏
Patiently (not really haha) waiting for the breastfeeding video because I'm struggling nursing my identical twin boys!
Samantha Hernandez I'm 7 months in to bf my twin girls. hang in there I promise it gets easier ! you are doing amazingly x
This video is great! My twins are almost 7 weeks. How often are your girls actually eating each day during this routine?!
Did you let them make their own schedule or did you make the schedule yourself?
They kinda did. They just get tired every few hours. So when I see them get sleepy I put them down.
I just found out I am having twins on 9/20
congrats!
I was married to my routine with my boy/girl twins. It's the only way to survive. They are 2 now 😊
good to know that!
Wow the whole schedule is overwhelming 😱😨😨😨, is it important to burp babies after their feeding ( due to colic ) ?? Just wondering
creek1903 there are a few reasons burping is important, mainly because babies can get very gassy which makes them cry. You can avoid a lot of painful gas by getting them to burp soon after eating.
creek1903 ya we always burp them during the day and they usually have a huge burp
This is so irrelevent to the video, but I have the same jacket, haha! It's so comfy isn't it?
Emily Rietz check Aeropostale they're like 10 dollars I bought a black one for me one for mysister and mother
Anna Priore she said down below to someone else that it's from American eagle.
American Eagle
I dunno how much those wubanubs cost there but you seem to have so many... took me a lot of convincing to get just one bcus of how pricey they r
Evelyn Lucha they are only like $13
Holly Burch here they're 20$ each
Evelyn Lucha I totally agree. But they are the only ones my little one takes well and so I went out and bought a second one
I agree, here in Canada they are $20 for the normal sized ones and I seen the smaller pacifiers with a larger stuffed animal for $24. I picked up two as I'm expecting twins in the next few weeks, just to try and have a few of the loose pacifiers (same as the wub) so we'll just have to wait and see what my boys like best.
I know, I can't help it I'm obsessed with them haha
Bath time you did not talk about that. How many times a week you bathe them?
Rajesh Meher She spoke about bath time in a previous video. I think she said that she finds it easier to wipe them down and then bathes them 1-2 times a week (if I remember correctly). This video was just about sleep habits :)
Rajesh Meher usually every couple days
This video was very helpful. I have a four week old baby boy. I am trying to get him on a schedule. I have the rock and play but he doesn't like it. I feel like he only cat naps during the day. I feel bad when he cries , I wish I could be laid back like you. it is overwhelming sometimes , I can't imagine having twins. I do find that when I swaddle him he sleeps longer. Any tips on how to produce more breast milk? Thanks for sharing.
Emili Salg just remember he's only four weeks out of the womb. 4 weeks to 12 weeks is a big difference in babies. As soon as he hits that age you will most likely see a difference and getting him to self soothe will be a little easier.... I remember wanting the same thing with my first son and calling my gf who had experience in this already and she reminded me of this very thing. She said try and if it doesn't work try again in a few weeks. By four months I was able to transfer him to his crib and it was so easy and a schedule was born. Hang in there and enjoy your baby boy. A schedule will come. Each baby is different and a lot of times they make their own. I would write down when he gets tired and naps then go from there. Everything is typically based around nap times :) there are so many sites that have mock schedules you can get ideas from. Wholesomebaby.com is what I used the most. Also babies can cluster feed to have gas a lot in the beginning so just take one day at a time. Getting advice and tips from others is helpful but remember each experience can be a tad different based off your baby. I think parenthood in the beginning is all about trouble shooting and learning your baby. Good luck and congrats!
Intentionally Made thank you so much for your kind words.
How do you handle the girls when one of them has a nitemare and cries uncontrollably?
Its so weird for me to hear someone else call themselves Kendra aha I always feel like the only one.
What did you mean by "when they were babies"... haha, they are only 12 weeks old lol!
DaiAsh I think she meant when they were newborns.
haha I know...they still are young!!
How beautiful you are
Salute
