    Hi Guys,
Great Podcast, love your comments on TA.
My wife and I watched it through to the end.
We've just purchased a bottle of capsules each and now waiting.
If I may mention we're both 64 and not feeling our age at all.
There are three main most important factors in a healthy life while growing older in years.
    1. Healthy eating.
    2. Active movement (exercise).
    3. Sleep.
All these things will keep you feeling younger.
TA will hopefully give us that extra boost we both need.
Well, after all, I'm an old bodybuilder from the 70's and gathered a lot of information on the way.

Took tongkat ali last year. 1 dose, 400mg, a day. The first 2 weeks felt amazing. Mood skyrocketed to the point where I could kind of just watch things that would normally infuriate me just roll off my back. And, very unexpectedly, a back pain issue I had for a significant time was just gone. The inflammation was gone completely and my range of motion was 100%. Looked it up and read that having more free testosterone is a natural anti-inflammatory compound.
After about 2 weeks I noticed my nipples started to seem to get puffy. Initially chalked it up to paranoia as it was the one possible side-effect I was most concerned about. But after a bit it was clear it was definitely happening. So cut back from 1 dose a day to every other day/few days. The benefits just evaporated. Mood crashed. Back pain was back. And the puffy nipples stayed for quite awhile even after I stopped taking it completely. Libido, which had been pretty normal pre-tongkat, also crashed. Can't underestimate how disappointed I was. First time in decades I had felt that good and had to stop due to gyno.

Here's some advice: steer clear of steroids due to their severe side effects. During my time using them, I dealt with widespread acne, leaving lasting scars and bumps on my nose. Swelling in my ankles made it hard to walk or stand for long periods, and my mood swung wildly-I'd be aggressive and pushy one moment, then reclusive the next. Realizing this wasn't healthy, I quit.
After researching online, I stumbled upon Standardized hot water root extract of Tongkat Ali. It's been a tremendous help in the gym, and the best part? No side effects. Highly recommended for those struggling with low testosterone levels!

Hi. Tongkat Ali was tested to see whether it increased DHT levels in a study. What they found was that after 5 weeks, DHT levels went from 180 to 179ug/mL. So it basically didn't change DHT levels either way.

I started taking Tongkat Ali for many years since i was 40. I am still taking 200mg daily with OFF and ON cycle. I've personnaly tried Tongkat Ali 2% from ND (genuine product for sure, awefull taste, the worst ever) , bought 2x30g jars a few months ago, first jar, took only 200mg per day as instructed, not much results, made a break for several weeks, then tried 400mg per day with the second jar, not much results either. Maybe should I've taken 600mg...? So now I'm trying their 10% pills, supposed to be much more potent... I've started 5 days ago, too soon to tell, I'll keep you posted, but I don't plan to make any blood test, I'll just report my overall feelings. (subjective I know)

@@joses5356 thanks Jose! Good idea to give boron a try! cheap, and might also serve for joints pain... usefull for me considering my very bad knees... I've been taking boron on and off 9/12 mg per day for several years. I cannot say with 100% confidence it works in the testosterone department, but hey, again, cheap, and we are very likely deficient in it (at least here in France). Search "George Flechas" on youtube to learn more on boron. You'll see that this Dr is advising to take way more than 9/12 mg... seems there has been a misunderstanding about the toxic dose, you can see everywhere 20mg per day, but it seems it's rather 20 GRAMS per day... anyway, check Dr Flechas video. On my side, I think I begin to see positive effets of Tonkat Ali 10% from ND on day 7... well being, energy... to be confirmed in the upcoming days. We keep in touch. Take care!

It was really low at 67. So after researching i started 10mg a day along with the DHEA. Got to say that I feel much better in terms of energy and clear mind. I reduced the Tonkat only because of the headaches but it seems to add energy too. Im assuming that I had what they call the "pregnenolone steal." If so I should see good blood tests next month including the level of pregnenolone which I added to the list. Im trying different things instead of TRT . Oh and libido is much better. Not so much desire but performance is there. No problems. The wife told me to stay on pregnenolone lol.

Hi there, thanks for the comment. Yes, it a great herb, but caution needs to used with this herb because this herb readily interacts with drugs. If we put it in a supplement and someone takes it while they are on medications, it can cause the drugs to become toxic or detoxify them quicker. Both outcomes are not ideal. This herb needs to be prescribed by a health care professional to ensure there aren't any herb-drug interactions. Here is a study finding "In conclusion, L. pumila and its constituents showed significant modulation of all three regulatory proteins (CYPs, P-gp, and PXR) suggesting a potential to alter the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of conventional drugs if used concomitantly." pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25152732/

Im going to have to call bs. I took Tongkat Ali for over a year now and it basically does nothing. I work out very hard and wanted a boost. I took it 3 times a week. I just had my T checked and it dropped about.75 from last year. Just tried going without it for last 2 weeks and notice no drop off in my training. Im 66 years old. No difference in libido either.
