- The old "redbird" and "bluebird" cars are made up of several different car classes: the R26, R28, R29, R33ML, R33WF, R36WF, and R36ML. This train of preserved R36MLs, R36WFs, and an R33WF, is seen transferring from East 180th St Yard to 207th St Yard to receive security system upgrades in advance of a planned passenger service operation with these cars on Friday, April 5th. 😢😢😢 missed theses trains. I remember & rode on them. I'm 35 soon to be 36. Thanks for the upload
The R36ML pairs could use new number plates down the line, but it's good to see them out again!
I agree.
That horn at 0:19! Damn, that sounds good! So good to see the Bluebird and the Redbirds and damn at 1:47... music to my ears!
Good seeing these restored cars in operation.💚👍
Always great to see the old subway cars again. Especially the R33s Single unit in the original light blue and white exterior.
21 years in the making
Beautiful trains
It's nice seeing them 0:44
Unfortunately, these cars can’t run on the 7 because CBTC is hooked up to the Flushing line.
Under special conditions, with a G.O. or absolute block train order with a dedicated track without sharing with other traffic. This would require the express track available and between Willets Point and Woodside.
I love seeing these old beauties in operation but to be nit picky, I HATE the M logo on the trains because the M is smaller than the one that was on the trains when it was the logo of the day. Maybe that’s just me but that’s my only complaint. Still great to see them again!
Me and my girlfriend witnessed these cars leaving 207 yard
Oh yeah
2:28
Oh no! It’s going the wrong way!😮
Only wish that the redbirds had period signage like the bluebird.
I seen when they ran pass 125st From my apartment
No offense, but this train does not have many colors if you get my gist 😒 Unsure if I even want to take a photo or video of it on Friday anymore.
The number board on the blue r33 isn’t the right font
Originals were stolen, unfortunately.

Birds...
Wait 'til December comes, but hold up, I can't because Sonic57053 tries to break my phone!
I don’t like him but I would gladly help him
On Friday morning, after turning around the flyover ramp at 207th and through the South Ferry loop, consist should be (N)9586-9587-9543-9542-9307(S). The Low Vs should be coming in from 239th shop, their usual home.
Note at 3:00 9542 has a rollsign from the summer 1998 Lenox project.
Dynamic mode can be clearly heard at 0:59.
