Newer train models are not always needed!!! What's needed are train lines/bus routes that were discontinued years ago and new rouye connections. I'd rather my tax money go towards rebuilding/reactivating abandoned subway lines or restoring discontinued bus routes than to get new subway train car models. The Q74 was one of the most crowded and busiest bus routes in queens for both rush hours and non-rush hours and it was eliminated because of the mta having budget cuts not because the route wasn't needed

13 years ago they merged the Brown M and V trains into the orange M. The Old M went from Metropolitan Avenue In Queens To Bay Pkwy In Brooklyn and The V Went From Forest Hills To 2nd Avenue. The M goes From Metropolitan Avenue to Forest Hills (which makes no sense because they are only 2.4 miles away from each other...)

During weekdays, the orange M runs between Middle village to 71st Ave, Forest Hills, and weekends and late nights the M is used as a shuttle between Essex street and Metropolitan ave while the E and F trains takes care of all the late night local services to forest hills. I still don’t get why they wouldn’t make the new M a loop line.

JFK Train was hardly used because they hardly show up. If you missed one, you are stuck waiting like 30 or 40 minutes for the next one. Most people would rather take the (A) train to the airport instead. ✈🚃🚃🚃💨
