Leonid is a high school music teacher in Russia. He writes all of the sheet music for every instrument! Leo is the Bass player. I'm a big fan.
This is my favorite song by Chicago. I loved it since I was in my teens and it was a new album. And Leonid & Friends do a spectacular job with it.
The lead singer in the song, Serge, is Ukrainian and is currently in Kyiv. Prayers for Ukraine.

They’re simply unbelievable! I’ve seen Chicago years ago n then I watched n listened to these outstanding musicians n singers last nite in Kansas City and was simply blown away from beginning of their concert to the end!! The entire crowd was singing Saturday in the park n many others including feeling stronger every day and 25 or six to four was just unbelievable 😂😂😂it was just joy for me n many others there😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

As an avid Chicago fan these guys are insanely good. When the real Chicago of today play these older songs they don't sound nearly as good. Hats off to this incredible group of musicians. I will say one of the best cover bands ever.

Leonid and Friends are such a FANTASTIC tribute band!! They’ve also done a few Earth, Wind and Fire songs and a few others as well as their Chicago covers. Serge (lead singer) is Ukrainian, the rest of the band members live in Russia. They’ve done 3 US tours and are coming back (hopefully) in April. They love their American fans! Check out Street Player and Beginnings, you won’t be sorry!! They’re amazing.♥️
Ahhh, so glad you found these guys! I got to see them at the end of the year live and they are incredible. One of the ex-members of Chicago said that they sound more like Chicago than Chicago themselves! Their cover of "I'm A Man" is INCREDIBLE! Serge, the lead singer on this, is from Ukraine.

Harri, ... yes, these are very meticulous musicians from Russia, ... very dedicated to duplicating the sound and feel of original work. They are "something else", ... and that refers to everyone in the band. And when you have a fellow like Leonid directing the path of the band, no wonder they've encountered so much success. Leonid really knows how to pick talent, ... mostly the best in Russia.
You should have listened to the original before the cover. If you had you'd realize how spot on this cover is.The band has changed members since this was recorded. They also do a spot on EW&F number and their Stealy Dan "My Old School" is an epic cover.
MY thoughts also! Don't know how you can judge unless you've the original artists doing it first! ?
These guys (and one girl) are fantastic. I'm amazed by the guitarist -- Terry Kath is so hard to cover. 25 or 6 to 4 sounds amazing.

This band is incredible, Harri. Deep rabbit hole with their amazing covers of Chicago and other bands. They were the first Ukrainian people I thought about and I certainly hope they are safe.

HI Harri, I don't know where to begin. First of all, Chicago is my all time favorite band and I know all their music inside out. I have been on the Leonid ride from the beginning. They have already toured the USA a couple of times and are scheduled to return to begin another on April 15th., although that may be in doubt at the moment because of the obvious state of affairs. I have seen them in concert twice and have tickets for April 27th. for my third time. Every show they do sells out. Their live performances are as flawless as their videos and recordings. Leonid is the bassist you see here and this lead singer, Serge (who sings Peter Cetera's part), is the only member who lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. I ask for all fellow Besties to please pray for the safety of all these beautiful people. Thank you all! - Brooklyn MIke

Been sharing Leonid & Friends with my broadcaster friends since their very first CZcams video. They arrived in the USA yesterday for their spring tour. I’ll be seeing them perform June 18 in Illinois. My third time! They are AWESOME!❤️
You really need to check out one of their covers featuring Ksenia Buzina. She is the complete package. She is well educated, very talented musically, and of course, beautiful.
My favorite Chicago song. Released on their debut album in July of 1969 when they we still known as Chicago Transit Authority. It was also the first single released by the band. It was so long it didn't get air much play and was edited down and re-released in September 1971. Jacked to see them at Myrtle Beach in May!
I've been a Chicago fan from their very beginning.... But I swear these guys sound just as good if not better...they are incredible! They have quite a few selections on CZcams and its well worth your time to listen. The horn section is so good, and Igor, the drummer, is freakin' awesome!!.
Saw them two nights ago at House of Blues in New Orleans. Amazing performance! We had such a great time! Go see them!

They're the best out there at the moment. This is a few years old and Sergey the guitarist has moved away to be with his family. I bought Chicago's first few first time round but only play Leonid now.

L&F is awesome! They have several cover videos of Chicago songs as well as Blood, Sweat & Tears & Earth, Wind & Fire. I have been enjoying their videos/sound for a few years, now, thanks to a FB friend who shared a video for singing in English as a second language. They have recently finished up a tour of the U.S. They plan on returning soon, but I'm sure those plans will now be put on hold given the current political climate/crisis.

Chicago, those guy's were born ,as I was, between the big bands of the 40's and the rock and roll of the future and fused those two era's into one sound and that sound can be heard by anyone and understood as that's good shit... period !!!

Yes, they have toured the States at least twice now and I saw them in Orlando a few months back. Not sure about other countries but a true pleasure! And yes, they do clearly have lots of fun with it!
Originally Leonid & Friends had 3 lead singers just like Chicago did: one for the Robert Lamm songs, one for the Terry Kath songs & one for the Peter Cetera songs. As someone else mentioned, the personnel have changed more recently...

I have seen them twice in Concert . I believe it was 2018 and 2019. They could not tour due to pandemic. I was told they did tour last year. That is good to hear. ☹️. They are all Russian except for the lead singer Serge, who is Ukrainian. Hope he stays safe. I want to see them again. Soon. 👍🕊️🌏

They were here in US from July to December 2021 on tour. You’re so lucky to have seen them twice! They’ll be back in April for their next tour; I was able to get a ticket for a Pa. show. 😀 Check out their website for locations and maybe you can see them again!
@@valeriegibson8096 Thanks for the information. I thought they were stuck over there. I saw them in Columbus Ohio the first time. Then the following year in Newark Ohio. Got to a meet and greet. They were kind of shy. Did not hear much English except for Leonid's son ,Roman, who was like their manager. It was great. Of course you already know, right? I did follow them religiously when they started but have waned a bit in my fervor. I loved Chicago growing up. My friends and I wore out CTA album. 🙃 Thanks for your comment Valerie. I've been following this band for 3-4 years and they are incredible. I saw live in Massachusetts during their American tour in 2019 and they are as good live as in the studio, plus they are all super nice people. I hope they all stay safe during Putin's current Ukrainian invasion. I've said multiple times before that if musicians controlled diplomacy rather than greedy political ideologues, there would be a lot more peace in the world.

Saw these guys at the Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati last night. They absolutely blew the roof off the place. The members are from Russia and the Ukraine and unfortunately a key member or two couldn't be there because of the current situation in that region but they were still great.
I've heard when they started doing Chicago covers, they didn't know much English! You sure can't tell that while listening to them!
I have all 3 of their cds..amazing..The lead singer on this track is from Ukraine..I pray he's ok.

They just finished a US tour; not their first. Hopefully, not their last. REALLY wanted to see them when they came to my town, but wasn't ready to pull the crowded venue trigger quite yet
This is May 2022 and they are on, what I believe, is their 5th U.S. tour since 2018.

i've watched a number of their videos... i love that they are enamored of american music in the 1970s... and, they're russians, so english is NOT their 1st language.. i can hear it when they pronounce some words in a way that we wouldn't pronounce it...
