Steve, I grew up watching my maternal grandfather and two uncles as they repaired shoes. They’ve passed on, but I inevitably think of them when I watch you, and I say to myself, “Wow! My folks would’ve surely enjoyed watching Steve.” Sir, thank you for showing us your craft and doing it with a sense of humility and perfection.

For what I can tell most men have no idea what a great shoe is. Im 67 and just got a pair of Allen Edmond's. I kinda see now why women like shoes so much, it changes your attitude. But it could be addictive, so you got to watch out !!

The last time I was this early, I still owned a pair of Florsheims.
So, here’s what I see: a person can find a size/style that they love from AE or other make, and then have work like this done to make the pair on par with bespoke craft! All for a value price that is probably 1/4 to 1/6 what it would have required to go truly bespoke from beginning. That’s awesome!
Do you want to wear them? Or Display them? Pass them on to someone special? Store them away in a vault? Holy cow, the detail Steve, the detail. 👌👌👌👏👏👏.❤them.

Steve, I was a leather craftsman in the 70s. I made belts, bags, and sandals. So I appreciate your skills. You really outdid yourself on this one.
Get your self some Fray Check, Steve. I use it when sewing on buttons to seal the threads, or to stop a bit of fabric that is already fraying, like on a cuff. It’s watery and clear and it dries clear. Works great.
Agreed. My wife makes clothing and says it’s absolutely a must-have.

Though even moreso, it's his totally natural uninhibited wry witted banter.
There's so little of this today.
I am over 50, so maybe Steve manner is more familiar and comforting to me, than young pups.
Nevertheless, hopefully young people will realize they can become Steve's too.

One of the most amazing craftsman.... the look of the shoes after refurbish and all the repairs to repairs gone wrong by other craftsmen is just incredible... I wish we could have had this amazing craftsman as a teacher or if he had a school that he taught in which people could apply to
