- Alden Restoration!
These Alden Shell cordovan shoes were in rough shape. They needed a complete make over. I added new welts, re-dyed the uppers, full JR soles and JR combo heels.
Below is a list of most everything you see being used in the video if there is anything missing just drop a comment about it.

It’s apparent that we are in the presence of what some call a master craftsman. In the sense of doing all the right steps with no shortcuts, I would agree. Greatresults from this kind of effort.
It's unbelievable, you sit at the PC and watch for an hour how a pair of shoes are repaired. One rightly asks oneself, don't you have a life of your own? Well it's so relaxing to see a good man mastering his craft and speaking his comments so calmly and serenely. Meanwhile I see it as a kind of therapy to relax. Well done Steve
Again Steve, this is why I send my shoes to you for repair instead of sending them somewhere else. Because I want my shoes done right the first time.
Ppl come to you sir because you do excellent work. I see how you take pride in what you do repairing and making old look new or better. You're a master at your craft. You have allowed me into your world and the fine art of restoration perfected, and l salute you. Keep up that "HAMMER TIME" I LOVE IT.
You keep saying that you're NOT a shoemaker. Christ, the way you open up shoe, if you aren't a shoemaker, who the hell is?
That is why you should buy at least one pair of shell shoes. They will get you through a career if you look after them. Really nice restoration. Thanks for the welt stitching footage. I finally get how it is done.
Nice to hear you whistle Steve ,thx for the vlog and time 👍🏻👍🏻❤️,looks great again ,see you next time 👍🏻
I like your natural humerus personality it sure helps you get the job done
Steve, don't worry. You don't have to fill up the space. Quiet is okay. We just want to see the your good work. Your talking is good, but if you need a break it's fine. We enjoy watching what you do.

I've nothing to do with the shoe business but I admire your craftsmanship a lot , watched most of your videos they're just beautiful example of excellence & knowledge.
If I were a young guy just starting out in the trade, this is the kind of show I'd be watching whenever I had the time.
I actually feel like im having a genuine conversation with you hahahahahahaha it makes watching your videos much more interesting and fun than other channels that do this kinds of crafts.
The most expensive pair of shoes I ever bought are handmade and top quality. Today they cost € 200 (about $220). I can not imagine I would ever have seriously worn shoes restored for double that price. But I admire your work. The result is impressive.
Went to pick up my bespoke shoes, I’ve never seen such a shotty repair! Unbelievable it’s too bad not all people take their job seriously like Steve!
shoddy*
Those of us who watch your vlogs, watch them because you are a kindid spirits lol
I understand about favorite shoes. I'm glad his shoes were or original high enough quality to warrant repair. Years ago I took a favorite pair of shoes to a shoe repairman and he refused to fix them, he told me they were cheap poorly made shoes and not worth repairing and why was I even consider it, I told him that they fit well and were worn in. The man told me good, quality women's casual shoes didn't need to be worn in and that I should buy better footwear to use what I would've spent on a repair and s bit more money to buy shoes good for my feet. He even gave me some nrand names to check out. I wasn't insulted, I appreciated his honesty and that he was looking out for me. I took boots to him for repair in later years. His shop closed when he was quite elderly and he passed away. It was a real loss for the community. I'm sure I'm not the only one in the community that misses him. He was a community fixture, an artist, a real master of his craft and quite a character.
Hanna Kin yeh it’s unfortunately that the older generation works until the End

All of the little tricks to bring a shoe back, sandpaper, sharpened glass, steel wool, heat guns and hairdryers. That's a lifetime of experience there.
I've been playing gospel music in my shop for the past 4 years. It's to the point where when customers walk in and it's not playing, they say, "Where's the gospel?" It's safe to say, try playing some gospel, I promise your viewers won't complain. Who knows, you may even save a life in the process. All the glory goes to God.
I'm looking at the restoration of this pair of shoes with fascination. The type of concealed ligatures. Real art. Sincere congratulations.
Your lighting is looking much better keep it up.
I'm learning new terms & the thought that goes into shoe creations. Lovin' it.
You are very funny sometimes, I love your work I think you are the best for shoes recrafting.
I'm lucky I live close enough to take stuff to you in person. You have convinced me to go to you when I need a resole.
I have watched a few of your videos and I must say I like watching shoe repair vids. It's a strange thing to admit but I really like shoe restorations. Thanks a bunch for shoe- I mean "show" casing your work.
I enjoy all of your videos Steve. Those shoes are better quality after you're done with them. Amazing work!!!
I love watching you work your magic on those shoes xx
Never a boring moment with you and your bone.
Seriously, I pay attention to you when you trouble shoot a problem.
Although I only plan on resoling my own footwear, it's still interesting tou watch you repair different styles of shoes.
Great job
Simply the best in his class.
I always love watching your video. Excellent painstaking craftsmanship.
Tremendous transformation compare to the condition the shoes was before.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍
I love the longer video that allows you to show the steps in repairing shoes. I love watching the craftsmanship and I bet the owners of the shoes love to watch you bring their favorite shoes back to life.
Fabulous work, the hour flew by.
I just love watching and learning from you. Thank you sir. Bless u and ur family!
People amaze me great job as usual Steve
3:44 am and watching shoe repairs 👍 amazing like always!
Once again, mesmerized for an hour...time flies when you are watching a Bedos Vid. #shoewizard
Magic, Great craftsmanship.
Haven't watched the whole thing yet, but that's a next-level intro. Great job!
In case anyone wondered if the cost of these repairs are "worth it", yes. The loafers are $765 and the Oxford saddle shoes are $660, at least from the place I could find selling them online. (There are cheaper versions of the loafers in calfskin and without lining; this price is for the Cordovan shell.)
Thank you! I knew someone would have looked up this information! I grew up in a middle class home and my mom didn't spend that much money or her shoes or mine, but my parents believed in wearing quality shoes. My dad wore boots and he spent that kind of money for his boots. So his boots were definitely worth that kind of repair. Thanks again for looking that up!
Thumbs up for Stevie jobs,he made a miracle out of a worn out shoes , the shoes were in their last breaths really, well done man again and again and again, meanwhile, you are very nice and kind to recommend the other cobblers, that's so sweet and inspiring of you to do that,God bless you dude.
Beautiful work. Love to watch.
im just amazed how far you take the shoe down to build it back up. very nice job again steve.
When it’s 11:30 pm and Steve uploads an hour long video 👍👍👍
You can't fool me that fudge wheel looks exactly like the edge of a peanut butter cup.
You read my mind--I saw the fudge wheel and immediately thought it was a mini version of the Reese's peanut butter cup wrapper!
Fabulous work as always!
Fantastic work again Steve I love watching people who do a proper job 👍
Those turned out really nice. Great job.
Awesome talent. Outstanding skills
Time really flies
Watchin' Steve at his prime
Lovin' the gradient dyes
'Tis always hammer time.
Alden makes very high quality shoes and boots. I would rather them save a few dollars for sing compressed fiber heel stacks than cutting costs in other areas of construction. It sucks when you get a bad resole job though. You always do too notch work. Fantastic solid reconstruction. Whoever resoled those Cordovan Alden’s before you did not do what was necessary to maintain the quality construction of Alden. They are my favorite shoe maker and I love how you give them love, but still call out where they could do better.
those saddle shoes look 👌 Love the blue stitching and accents - would certainly fancy a pair
new to cobblers, so i appreciate the tools and equipment explanations. i enjoy watching your craft. awesome job
A lot of hard work-beautiful job.
GREAT JOB STEVE! AS ALWAYS! SMOOCHES FOR ZEUS!
Make that owner promise to use shoe trees and to brush/condition his hoof-covers! Nice work bringing those back. Love using that canvas to bridge across the bottom like that. Structure and structure.
Just watching your new video and listening to what your saying, you Steve are a true craftsman and take great pride in your work, which goes a long way, and I’m so sure all your customers will think so to, oh it’s great to hear your voice again best wishes xx
Steve, I love your Reception Desk. It's like a bigger Steamer Trunk. Amazing!
I'm running out of compliments. Great job as usual. Thanks for sharing your skills.
It is so nice when you explain about how your machines work. Since I have been watching your videos, I taken care better my shoes 😁as always a great job 👍🏼. Thank you !
Abris! Been watching your vids for a while now, my grandad was a shoemaker. You make all cobblers and shoemakers proud. Thank you also for educating us youtube watchers and entertaining us with your delightful witty comments and explanations. From a fellow hay, herashali! Tx again 🙌👏👏
Garo Manoug ❤️❤️❤️🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲

Amazing work.❤
wow they look really good indeed, love the finish.
Steve the lighting looks great! 👍🏻👍🏻👞👠
Steve, you did a beautiful restoration of these shoes! The customer should get many more years of pleasure from them! Thank you for taking the time to make the video!
Yeah, that's the problem I've had for so many years. I took my shoes to be repaired and had not been able to find anyone who can repair shoes. Smh I have donated or thrown away so many good shoes because I couldn't find a descent shoe repair shop. Very unfortunate for me. But now I found you!
I love the long video's. You can make them as long as you'd like. Great work and excellent recovery on the red thread pull thru. Extra work. But craftsman can't have screw ups in their work. Love it!!!
I love the off-the-cuff-remark about the craziness in us all... yes... you are right... I had to laugh.
Another one!!! The eye you have to detail is outstanding! Love your work and can’t wait to see what you do with my wife’s Colombian ankle boots!
Hello Steve. You do fantastic work! You have integrity which is ,sorry to say, lacking in many these days. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing.
Steve, you worry to much about the subs. If you want to play music in the background then do it. This is your channel, your store. Do what makes you feel best and keeps you sane lol. Another great job. It is really fascinating watching you transform these shoes.
The Master at Work....! Beautiful Steve..... Greg
Personally I love these longer videos especially when Steve is showing more of what he does and how he does it and I love the narration as well like when he was sowing the welt. Another superb job expertly done, as always. :)
The things I see from others before me some times blows my mind as well. Other techs leave parts off, missing parts, and just when you think you have seen it all something new comes along. I just smile as it's more money in my pocket as I have to stay longer to fix what other tech's mess up. :)
OK Steve ... I'm a woodworker, I'm out working in my woodshop, I stop for some reason as one will, As I resume my work I hear Steve in my mind ... Let's Continue!
You're Amazing Amazing Cobbler Steve..😊 Quality and love when you repair like anything thats made of leather.. you always amaze me. Spl. Hand made stiches? You the only Man, Steve.. 😊 Thank you so0 much for the upload.. 💖

“Leave my bone alone!” Words that will be logged in the annals of CZcams.
I can almost hear the applause, Steve "great work".
How did I miss this one from earlier this year (it's now December). One of my new favorites of your videos! You worked another miracle with these much loved shoes--I only wish I'd seen you work your magic on the pair of loafers! Master craftsman at work--I wouldn't care if the video was two hours--I'd watch.
Another "classic shoe resurrection" , thanks!
Damn Steve, beautiful job.You are a true Artisan. Denver out
Another great video!
Great looking Jooob!
Thank you for keeping me company ;p
Great job
Let's continue 👍
I would be willing to wager that the owner of those shoes has never heard of shoe trees.
I bet they never heard nordstrom rack.com
This is Delightfully Satisfying to watch you re- Work these.. Thank you
You can always sing to us Steve 😂 x
Sue Jenkins yeh oook
So you can laugh at me??? 🤣🤣🤣
Steve, the people complaining about any music in videos are the types who can’t focus and block out unwanted noise! They are also the types who can’t multitask well! I personally am listening to you and watching Live rescue! Interesting case on live Rescue in this case a 20 year old female with a GSW and broken femur( OUCH). My focus goes to the tv! Once the case is over its back to the phone!
I will say that I could use a few extra videos this month, Please! I’m recovering from surgery, it’s garden prep season and I’m on lifting restrictions all month so no garden prepping and as a result I’m slowly loosing my mind!
Hi Steve, it is 01:09 in the uk. Can't sleep, so I'm watching your chanel
I loved your Hammer Time art/ornament! LOVED IT! 47:10
This owner is one lucky man.
