Your talent is beyond reproach because you show that you love and get joy in what you do. Your knowledge and skills are awesome. Thank you for keeping the art of shoe restoration alive. I always look forward to your next video. Keep up the beautiful work, and thank you for sharing. May you and your family continue to be blessed.
Must have missed this one at the time. Saw it today and found it to be superb and the detail explanation on the different heal blocks for Allen Edmonds and other shoes and the modification for balancing very informative. Thanks Steve for your craftsmanship and all your videos.
Hi Steve, just want you to know ‘alright, let’s continue ‘ is our catchphrase we use at work as a group of nurses at a Yorkshire NHS hospital, UK. I got it from you and the nurses love it....thank you x
Magic pure magic! One of the best things about youtube is the Craftsmen that are still out there. Makes a great view and education for all to see an artist at work!
I appreciate you and all this free knowledge so much. Even though I will never repair shoes, it is such a pleasure to know the process. I truly love your videos. You are the last of the PROFESSIONALS! You take pride in your work and I love that you don't cut corners and have the customer returning within a weeks time with inappropriate work which I've had to do. With all this knowledge, I wish I were younger. Kudos to you! 👏🏽 This channel should be *BIGGER.* Very pleased customer.! Yessss! 👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks Steve! and thanks Carly! What a nice surprise! I actually live pretty close to Bedo's...you guys fixed my leather flight jacket a few years back. Love all these repair videos, what a cool way to advertise your expertise.
Nice to see someone that cares about doing a good job. Making sure the customer gets quality for money spent..great job. I didn't get enough hammering in this video!!! Keep up the good work.
Love it when you get tickled about "Hammerguy". Great upload. After watching ALL your uploads, I have to conclude that repairing and resoling shoes is harder than making a new pair of shoes. And then you have the personal aspect of repairing shoes that people have worn, like and want to keep - and keeping those people happy. Not an easy job you have. Thanks for the upload.
Steve is working his ass off! Consistently high quality end product! Way to show the love, and after watching him, I'm even more so trying to buy high quality shoes!
Watched someone else do a shoe repair last night. Was horrified. Kept yelling at my screen because he was doing the job improperly. Apparently, watching all your videos has turned me into a big fat crabby critic of cobblery . Didn't see that one coming. Hilarious!
Steve in humility you may just see yourself as just a cobbler, but in Reality your far more than that , im sure you have a positive effect on every customer just as you do with us viewers, you impart far more than just shoe repairing by your very nature.
Thank you for the explanation of the triangular cut on the inside of the heel. I wear cuffed pants with full or half break of the crease bringing the back of the pants very near the floor. The look of this pant length is very elegant.
If i lived closer i would so intern as a video assistant so you didn't have to worry about being in frame/if your're recording, etc.! Thank you for all you do! Love watching and relaxing and learning at the same time.
Sometimes I fall asleep on your videos; once you start hammering I wake up and concentrate back on watching. Keeps me on my toes, I love it! 😂👍🏼💁🏻♀️🙈👌🏼Great video and beautiful work yet again! Cheers from your Chicago fans Alex + Jaime!
On a trip to the DC area, my wife and I stopped in to say hello to Steve. One of the first things mentioned to us was the email he received about the hammer noise! Funny story but someone sure hit a nerve!
Steve please do the recording as you want ,iT was fine last time .were lucky you take the time free to make this video,s .great job as always and thx for the learning proces 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️see you next time greetz...
Your comment just confirms to me that those who watch Steve's videos are a self-selecting group of people who want to watch quality craft, and enjoy quiet evenings free of din and inane , mindless blabber.
Those soles are funky. Steve, how’s your espresso this morning? Hope it rocks the morning for ya! Allen E. shoes ..........unbelievable following. A whole community with an appreciation for their favorite shoe manufacturer. Foot comfort is big.Now that is cool and your a big part of that.
@@sergeantbigmac How are you supposed to hone your pocket knife on a rubber sole ?We don't have marble sidewalks here in the Motor City anymore, but I don't wear my leather soled kicks much in the winter or the rain.
@@scootertrasher1369 With the backside of my leather belt like ive always done haha. I cant think of a worse place to hone a knife than a worn shoe sole.
I feel your pain with the phone cameras - found that out the hard way. I schedule not immediately publish because it can take a while for YT to finish the processing. Just because they say it’s ready to publish doesn’t make it true. You can see the comments below about 360 - a dead giveaway which is what happens when just uploaded. Mirrors work but fiddly. I use an app called FiLMiC Pro instead of the phone app to record. It allows me to use FiLMiC Remote on my old phone. That allows me to see what the main phone is seeing and I can stop/ start recording, change focus, exposure etc. Watch your batteries if you do this! I now record in 4K and that eats memory and battery.
You're doing great my friend Screw the camera difficulties. I love your workmanship. I Love that you care about the esthetics. Woman care and I'm sure most men do too. Money is time and effort and we all care that we get the most out of it. I've had to go to a lower heel. I have a dear friend that wears my size and is delighted to wear my gently used shoes. I love sharing with her because she takes care and cherished lovely things.
Do you ever worry about parts 'failing' on your machines? Watching the Edmonds tour made me think that the maintanance shop must be overworked with all that old machinery to keep going...
Try adding a small vanity mirror behind the phone if you can so you can use the rear camera. BTW this video is playing only on 360p, dunno if it's a YT thing...
There are very few people in the world like you. You work on every pair of shoes as if they were your own. A pleasure to watch.
Enjoyed watching you work from beginning to end, appreciate your craft.
Hmm lots of projects, a very enjoyable video! Thanks for the customer reaction.
WE LOVE YOU STEVE! thank you for sharing your skill with the world. keep it up ♥️♥️
that glue container thing is so disgustingly cool looking
We had those at our shop. You could roll up the excess cement into a ball and have fun bouncing it.
A Great British product from Great Britain EH !! More wonderful work !

My streetside cobbler uses aircraft tire to resole. The dainite reminds me of that
