    Hi kelvin,
    When the user is clicking an app in storefront, he is getting a windows login prompt. When he enters his login credentials, the app is opening normally.
    None of the other users are getting this prompt, they could open the app normally.
    I've checked the SSON checker, the single sign on process is not running.
    (User has installed citrix workspace 1912 and he is getting an account not configured prompt when clicking citrix workspace )
    Please help me !!

    Main thing I want to say that If you have McAfee antivirus, please turn it off when you try to login to Citrix. Because the antivirus will delete the ICA file.

      That is also a possibility. But you can create an exception on McAfee not to Scan Citrix Folders.

    Many thanks for your clear and step-by-step instructions! My problem turned out to be the .ico file issue that you mentioned at the 6:35 mark in your video. I'm surprised that this wasn't handled by the Citrix installer automatically.

    Once I go to default apps by file type
    Then scroll down to .ico I do not have the Citrix Receiver option.
    My 3 options are Photos, Paint, and Paint 3D. Please help!!

      Hi Steven, What you can do is right-click on the downloaded citrix app file and select "open with" > then select 'choose another app' you will see 'Citrix connection manager' as an option in the list, if not click more apps and browse to citrix connection manager.       Hi, This is not a problem with the Citrix receiver but with the server you are trying to connect. You will need to verify with the IT department to be sure that the server you are trying to connect still have a valid SSL certificate linked to it.

      Hi Heisam, Are you trying to install Citrix workspace or work with it? If you are trying to reinstall citrix and you keep receiving the mentioned error, you will need to check if you are the only one using the computer. Probably the other user have already installed a citrix workspace on that same computer. Can you check program and files to see if Citrix folder is there?

    I constantly run into issues where the Citrix receiver client locks up, or freezes on the workstation. Launches just fine, but then I have users who struggle working because Citrix freezes up.

      Hi Dave, sorry for my late reply. Does this happened on a single user device or multiple devices?
      If this happened on a single device, you could reset Citrix receiver on that device. But if it happened on multiple devices, probably you want to check your Citrix Server.

      Hi Karen.
      Have you tried to reset Citrix Receiver? What version of Citrix are you using?
      Why not try to install Citrix workspace? I had similar issues with a user at work place in the past, removing citrix receiver and installing citrix workspace solved the problem.

    If none of these worked, I uninstalled citrix workspace and reinstalled it. After that is was just setting the corrected output on my windows citrix session on the button right where the volume icon is.

      Have you also tried to install Citrix Workspace? Replacing Citrix Receiver with Citrix Workplace sometimes resolve the problem

      Hi Tanmay, This problem is not related to Citrix Receiver or workplace but to the backend Citrix XenApp Server. You will want to contact your System Administrator responsible for Citrix server to assist you.

    Hello Kelvin. I am using Citrix from home. But suddenlt When I open chrome or edge to log on to the server of my work. It tells me it is cheking of my computer meets certain requirements and then download nsepa_setup. But its launching again and again and nothing happening. Usually after one time launch I could log in with my username and password. But this step doesn't show anymore. Any advice?     my ico file is not associated with an app. It does not give me the option to choose a file to associate it with it only gives the option for Paint and photos or "look for the apps in the store". So I'm unable to link the .ico file to the citrix workspace app.

      Hi, Have you tried to reset Citrix Receiver by going to taskbar and right click Citrix Reciever > Reset Receiver. If that does not help, try and remove the application from your computer and reinstall it.
      If you still experience the same problem, go to the start menu and right click Citrix Receiver, Click open file location. You will be redirected to the start menu programs, right click Citrix Receiver again and open file location. See if the file associated to the start-up file is self-service

      @@Kelvglobal Thanks for responding! It's still not working. I reset it, uninstalled and reinstalled. When I reinstalled the .ico file is still associated with "Photos" app and there is no other option to associate it with any other file, not even one that you download from the store. Also, Citrix Receiver is no longer the latest version it is now Citrix Workspace, so idk if that makes a difference. Maybe I will uninstall Citrix Workspace and try to download the old citrix receiver version.

      Hi, have you checked your program and features to make sure Citrix is there? when you go to your start menu and type Citrix is it among the list? Probably your will need to re-insintall citrix receiver.

      Hello Mangai, have you tried to open Citrix apps as administrator? When you receive access denied to an application, this means you do not have sufficient right to open such application.
      Right click the application and click "Run as administrator"

      Hi Danica, When you uninstall Citrix from your computer did you also remove all folders related to Citrix? You will as well want to consider removing Citrix from the registry.

      Why not try to install it with an administrator privilege by right clicking the software and choose 'run as administrator'. You will also want to make sure the software is being opened as .ica not as other application. This video will assist you as well czcams.com/video/eN1TzWhxX2s/video.html. I have experience this in the past when citrix tried to open as other application.

    In my Laptop, the application itself is not launching and I tried doing these steps but because the Citrix workspace app didn't start so I couldn't even apply these ways.
    It shows " PrefPanel.exe - Application Error : The application was unable to start correctly (0×c00000005). Click Ok to close the application".

      Hi Lavanya, probably you are trying to reconnect to disconnected session. Have you tried to contact the IT helpdesk to logoff your session? After which you can retry to connect again. Please can you send me a screenshot of the message you receive?

    Hello Kevin, I uninstalled the Citrix workspace following your video and all the files attached to it. Then I reinstalled it properly but still my error is there. Which is, whenever I open an ICA file,it asks me "Allow this app to make changes to your system" for every ICA file. It shouldn't ask for every file right? If I click yes,then it says that Citrix workspace already installed so the installer will exit.Please help me!

      Hi Tanvi, Thanks for watching my video.
      To always open .ica with citrix receiver, right-click the downloaded file you are trying to open and select "open with" and select 'choose another app' > scroll down and select "more apps" then select 'look for another app on this pc' > browse to the folder where citrix is installed. Select the right citrix application and be sure to check 'always use this app to open .ica file'
      Any time you try to open .ica file it will automatically open with citrix receiver.

      Hi Edher.
      What version of Citrix are you installing?
      I will love to have a screenshot of the error message you are receiving?
      Can you try to uninstall Citrix Receiver from the computer, make sure the folders where citrix is installed are also deleted.
      Check the following registry key and also make sure this is deleted.
      Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\Receiver
      Try reinstalling it back and see if you receive the same error message.
      Please send a screenshot if you receive any error message after reinstalling.

      Hi Sherik,
      The problem is not with Citrix Receiver but with the server you are trying to access. Are you trying to access the server via a browser or via an application?
      Is there anyone in your company having the same problem?

      Yeah...I couldn't find the exact reason for it. But later after updating windows I was able to connect to citrix.

      Hi Balivada, The problem is not with the citrix receiver probably in your back-end. Is the computer connected to a corporate network?
      If connected to a corporate network, are you having this problem with multiple computers or just 1 device?
      Please can you check your Application Event log to get more details of the error message and send it?

      What version of Citrix Receiver are you using? If you are using an older version of Citrix Receiver, they maybe an incompatibility issue with SSL.
      What version of SSL error do you receive?

      This error message is not with Citrix Receiver installed on your computer. The problem is with the back connection xenapp server.
      Are you the only one experience this problem?
      Have you checked with other colleagues at the office if they have similar problem?
      The engineer responsible for the Xenapp server will need to check if the Xenapp farm is in order?

I have my colleague try to login using Citrix with her own PC and had no problems accessing applications and no error message is encountered.       @@shaly025 Hello. How are you accessing your company network? is it through VPN connection?
      Are your connecting for the first time with Citrix from home?
      The main reason of network issues with Citrix when working from home is your vpn connection is not properly configured or connected.
      Please can you confirm if VPN is connected.

      @@shaly025 You can do the following.
      1. Please check your internet browser settings to see if there is a proxy configured. If yes, clear it. "In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings and uncheck the Proxy Server setting"
      2. Reset your Internet Browser settings to its default by clearing all cached and temp files.
      3. Ask your admin to check if your profile has been properly logged out from the Xenapp server.
      4. Reset Citrix Receiver again. "Right-click Citrix receiver icon in the task bar > click Advanced Preferences > Reset Receiver"
      Please do the above and confirm if it helps.
