    I own a 2021 Sight A1 and absolutely love it. Second Norco Sight I’ve owned and after coming off an Intense Carbine 29 last season you realize how much this bike is glued to the ground in super rough sections. Super plush and confidence inspiring for sure.

    Hello!!!, I was just wondering how tall you were to be on a small size frame, I am looking to get a sight and am right in between a medium and large but I'm still growing!!! Wondering your opinion.

    great video! good info and sick riding! by the way, may I know the total weight for your build? Thanks.

    • @freduromtb9523

      Thanks dude, really appreciate it! The bike weighs 37lbs (16.8kg), a lot of weight in the wheels, tires and inserts, plus coil shock. Could easily get the weight down if it was important to you.

      @@freduromtb9523 Thanks for replying. By the way, with the longer shock stroke, did you notice any rub to the frame or saddle when the shock is fully compressed? Also what’s the head angle with the 170mm fork? Sorry for the many questions. It’s just that I’m the same height as you and I like the set-up you did with the bike.

      @@jgaronbars No worries dude, I appreciate the interest! So the extra stroke length on shock doesn't change anything. It comes with a 52.5mm which is actually just a 55mm wit a 2.5mm bump stop/spacer. So no issues there at all, the Norco enduro team was running the same setup. The extra 10mm on the fork (170mm) slackened the head angle to 63.1 degrees, so it is really slack. I'd recommend finding the shortest offset you can on the fork so the front wheel doesn't end up way out in front. I really enjoy the way the bike rides, only thing I'd change is the offset on my fork lowers. I'll go to a 37mm offset over the winter for next season.

      @@freduromtb9523 thanks a lot for all the info! I recently bought a small evil insurgent but it feels too big for me. takes a lot of effort to play with the bike so will have to let go of that. It’s a costly mistake on my side. now, i’m spending more time trying to find the right bike for me and so I really appreciate all the info you shared. Thanks a lot. 🙂👊🏼

      @@jgaronbars Ahh bummer about the Evil, but hopefully you'll find something you like! The norco has a really low stand over which makes it feel playful and easy to move around between your legs! Looking forward to seeing what you go with.

    How tall are you? I'm 156cm so have a very hard time finding a bike. I noticed Norco has XS and S on most of their bikes to fit me.

      @freduromtb9523  Před rokem +1

      Hey man, I'm 160cm and I find the Small fits awesome! I wouldnt want anything much smaller really. It's got a really long wheel base, but the bike is low and has a small nimble feel to it. I think the Small would be good for you at that height.

    How much do you weigh, and what rate spring are you running on the coil?

    • @freduromtb9523
      @freduromtb9523  Před rokem

      I weigh approximately 125-130lbs, and I use a Ohlins 411lb spring.
      I tried a cane creek 400-488lb progressive coil and didn't get along with it. It was bucky when you went deep into the stroke.

  • @thegriff9425
    @thegriff9425 Před rokem

    How do you find the coil? Is it a little linear?

    • @freduromtb9523
      @freduromtb9523  Před rokem

      Hey man, I had read a lot before buying the bike how it wasn't the most progressive frame. People were recommending to go with stiffer springs or a progressive spring. Tried the Cane Creek progressive 400-488lbs and sound it ramped up too much and felt really bucky when I came out of deep travel. Ended up just with a slightly stiffer linear spring, an Ohlins 411lbs which has been amazing! The bike isn't too linear at all, I find it rides wicked!

    • @freduromtb9523
      @freduromtb9523  Před rokem

      For reference, Im about 5'3" and 125lbs before riding gear. Every calculator put me between 375lbs and 400lbs for a suggested spring rate.
