I can still remember, long long time ago in a land far far away when Jason said on a sketch "Is that a 29er?! uhh!!.." haha, good ol' days
Haha times have changed! - Jason
@@pinkbike i would literally watch every video/movie whith Jason in it lol
I know jason is more behind the camera, but he's so good in front of it as well.
Cheers! Hoping to be doing a lot more in front of the camera this year! - Jason
@@pinkbike That's great to hear, love the content. IFHT was kinda what got me into mtb.
He has sweet cheeks....they go well with the camera. Front and behind. :P Seems like a nice guy.
@@pinkbike /jason i love u
@@pinkbike jason r u not with ifht?
Gonna miss jason rocking the trek with the IFHT squad
Mahalo My Dude!!
he had a rocky mountain not a trek
But he needs to feed his family. It’s a sponsor’s bike
Why
did he leave IFHT or naw
He is starting to sound more and more like mike levy
Probably a byproduct of filming Field Test with him these past few days. 😂 - Jason
Did I miss the price while daydreaming about riding it?😂
Im riding a 21 norco sight now, and its a beast!
You rock Jason!! 👊🏼
Yo! Jason, Hope you consider making more content for IFHT.
By far the most entertaining guy on pb
I remember in 2016 I suggested and wanted a long travel kona process 29er and got down voted like a 1000 times lol. How the times have changed... switched to 27.5 in 2017 and I'm seeing it through until the end.
Good choice dude!
talk about rough size transition i went from a small 2012 devinci wilson with 26’ wheels to a large 2020 scott ransom 920 with 29’ wheels
Happy to see no tire inserts. Ran them for a few seasons and realized with DH or EXO+ casing (Maxxis), frankly, you don't need them. Especially with trail riding. Yeah, they offer a bit of protection just in case you puncture and don't have a tube or patch....but still, who is going to ride on foam down to the trail head? Rad bike!
Nice looking bike.
completely agree that the dissector is a fun fast rolling tire but doesn't hook up well in the wet. i've been running mine in the rear all summer and i think i'm going to swap it for a DHF during the wet fall/winter months
High rollers are better in the wet
Yo, the new Sight looks pretty nice. I was looking at the 2020 Range but when this new model dropped I got distracted. Which frame is the most robust or at least designed to be? They both seem to be able to climb but I imagine the new Sight would have an edge now with the steeper seat angle though. I want a decent all-around bike I can take to the bike park and not break but also ride on my local trails which are flowy, fast single track with rocks and jumps on one side of the park and old school rooty east coast US singletrack on the other side.
Wow Jason, I can't believe you went with an XL. What's so interesting is you don't look like you're wallowing in the bike! It looks like it fits pretty well. The wheelbase is huge!
its not that big hes also tall
I’m 6”3’ and 180lb, tossing up between the L and XL as this’ll be a bike I need to progress into a lot. I’m very much a beginner/intermediate, so what’s thoughts on sizing down and going a large instead?
That bike is mad
Nice bike man
How do you feel with 3 volume spacers in the rear? Is it progressive enough? Do you find yourself bottoming out a lot? Cheers!
will the custom build thing ever be available for anything other than the sight?
I have to ask... I was going to order a Norco sight tomorrow from Jenson. I'm also 6'1. The geo on the large seemed plenty and fitting. Do you think I should get XL instead of large? I want that stability but also wanna be able to whip them turns and tighter corners. Could use some advice on large or XL. Thanks man
I don’t know what it is about Norco they have a amazing feeling to me
I really like these Pinkbike videos but man do I miss those IFHT videos
Sick!
“Is that a 29er, ewh”
Quote by... you
how do you like those NF pants mate and what size are you wearing?
Is Jason still with the IFHT and maholo
That was great! Can't believe you went XL? I've got a large Sight on the way and now you're making me second guess myself...I ride a large Slash right now...Fingers crossed, should be great.
How have you found your large frame? I’m 6”3’ and 82kg/180lb, moving up from a fairly basic hardtail, and looking at the large as possibility enough bike for me as XL might be too big and burly.
Keen to know how the L has gone for
@@MitchPhillips The large Sight was the answer for me for sure. I wouldn't go any bigger myself but I'm 6' @ 190lbs. I wouldn't worry about it being too burly so much as just not being too compact between the seat and bars. The geo is phenomenal, climbs amazing and descends like a champ. The fact that the seat post is so steep and fork so slack though, does bring the cockpit size into focus and I'd defintely go put your leg over both sizes to get a feel for the difference. I think you'd probably benefit from an XL.
@@jk2302 Thanks Jeff - very helpful! I sat on a large Sight and it felt massive with 29ers on it. It’s pretty much impossible to see stock in both sizes before having to preorder. Sort of just guessing
@@MitchPhillips The bike may feel much longer than you're used to and depending on the hard tail you were on previous most full suspension bikes will feel much larger. Your hardtail may feel comparable to an XC bike in size.
6’3” was looking into a large, rode an xl Norco shore rental and it was a boat does the sight in xl feel super long especially on 29’s ? Thanks 🤙
"29ers are super cool, just kidding they are super gay" - some dude who is faster than me.
Now Jason? Are you doing to put IFHT Stickers on your bike, and if so which types and where.??
So nice!!! Name of the song how play on the video??
What type of riding pants are you rockin?
9er for life
How do you find the a3 climbs?
My man casually whippin and stuff!
was it a big difference going from 27.5 to 29 ?
2:24 is this a "how to set up your mtb suspension" mahalo my dude reference?
Hey there! I'm basically a newbie to the fs world, actually still don't have one lol. For someone that hasn't hit the trails seriously, would you say this is too much bike for(a beginner)me? Thanks. 😎
Why cant I find the "build your ride" option on their homepage? Can anyony help me out with the direct link?
Um that is pretty sick bike, haha , i'm think jason lucas should make a hotlaps video as well
Hey Jason, how do you get away with such light tire casings? You're a big guy and ride hard. Do you tear them often or have trouble with tire roll?
I usually run a DH casing in the back for peace of mind but this Dissector has been holding up just fine! - Jason
Is Jason still doing stuff with Matt from IFHT?
JASON!!! again
I am confused when he refers to his suspension settings as clicks "from closed, of course". I always refer to clicks from open. For example rebound- when it's fully open, the dampening circuit does not inhibit the spring from returning to extension. So the circuit is off, the spring is open to return to its travel. One click of rebound dampening, away from fast/open and towards the little turtle, would be "one click from open". Is my nomenclature incorrect?
I think it actually makes more sense to refer to clicks from fully open, as you do, but most suspension brands count their clicks from fully closed. I'm sure they have their reasons.
Norco 🥰
The trails being ridden from about 1:25 and on, where are they and what are they called?!? i live on vancouver island and would love to go over and try these
They’re on Seymour Mountain in North Van. John Deer, Corkscrew and Boogie Nights for sure!
Boogieman... although boogie nights sounds like a better name.
Do you like 27.5 or 29 er's more
Can you please link me how to customize the sight. I can't find it on their website
only for canadians. probably for US riders as well...
nobody else.
would you ride this bike in a mullet setup?
Isn’t he sponsored by trek?
Just wondering
He is sponsored by trek and pretty much every other bike company you can think of because his works with pink bike and ifht films
@@kickasshreds4979 He left IFHT, he helps them out sometimes but he is only sponsored by Norco, Garmin, and Smith Optics.
@@jamesglezos “only”
Norco gang
i have a norco team dh 2009 custom build
TBH I had a 29er for a few years, and elected to go back to 27.5 since I ever so slightly felt I was in "penny farthing mode" - and I'm a clumsy clod so the smaller wheel size ought to be a little more durable.
Ha funny I'm 6ft 185 to 195 on a good week. Also ride a Norco sweet bikes.
Are 29er or 27.5ers better for jumps
I recently changed from a 27.5 to a 29er, and 29er feels way more stable imo, but you loose a bit of that jibbing power.
But it gives a lot more confidence and speed.
29 will feel more planted and seedy while a 27.5 will be more playful and fun
it also depends on what kind of jumps you ride, 29er is better for bigger jumps more like what you’d see on a dh mountain but 27.5 is better for tighter jumps
Are you sponsored by norco or was this your own choice
The Norco Build Your Ride site doesn't even show up for me, I just get a "page not found". I'm in Sweden, anyone know a fix?
Gabriela I think it's only available in the us/Canada
Hi Gabriela, unfortunately right now our Build Your Ride program is only available in Canada and the USA. Sorry!
What about the shore video!!!!???!??!?!?!.!
"Never go full 29er..." - Kirk Lazarus
Please can anyone tell me why Jason left IFHT? Sry i don’t know it
I’m still doing stuff with the IFHT crew! Big project coming out in a few weeks! - Jason
ı agree
Ahaha. 2021 Sight A1 29er XL for me. At 6’1 also, she’s a ripper
2020 A1 XL 🙌 6’2”
Same. I fucking love the bike at 6 2”. However I wish it was a tad bit easier to get the front wheel off the ground. Unfortunately whoever owned it before me cut the steer tube so short I can’t play with spacers. What rise bars are feeling good to you guys? Thinking about going from 20 to 35.
Throw a megneg on there, it makes a big difference.
How does it climb?
I have a 2020 A1 and it’s heavy but climbs great!
Bro why not a big red trek
TRAITOOORRR!
How dare you go 29!?! but sweet bike dude.
Jason make more videos with ifht and mahalo
I don't like downhill with 29er, it feels like you are sitting too high and night fly over the handlebars
100 mm roter in the back?
*180mm. Need more coffee on these morning shoots haha! - Jason
No more trek w ifht boys 😞
why Norco ?
Why not
Wonder where all the content on this bike went...🤔🤨😔
Didnt lie about my weight. Lol
They should have released the silver team colours. The colours are crap in the production models.
The 2021 Sight A3 is in Silver I believe
0:12 90* seat angle lol
no
Would this be considered a coming out video? :D (waiting for him to go mullet, guess that is future content!)
“Now choose your size and be a dick about it!”
I tought he was sponsored by Trek 😳
He WAS sponsored by Trek
Didn't lie about my weight...

Word of advice, don't comment about how out of shape you are when you're in way better shape than 99% of the population.
It has nothing to do with fatness and he's not projecting his standards to other people, you are.
He’s not talking about the general population, he’s talking about the mtb world, which are some pretty fit dudes and dudettes.
I was his weight at the start of the year, but lost 20kg over the year through excessive biking and I still won’t consider myself super fit, so I can totally understand him!
P.s.: just look at the Mikes, not even they consider themselves totally fit.
We hold ourselves to our own standards. If the man feels out of shape, he's free to say as such.
@@NerfHerdsman agreed, couldnt have said it better.
