And the phrasing was explicitly a way to dehumanize the victim, who was supposedly their friend, their friend that they want justice for. If they were telling the truth, they would be the Last people to dehumanize him as just "a body" as opposed to making sure that everyone heard his name, over and over "I didn't see John out there" etc. Instead it is a common defensive measure to distance from guilt.

Jens phone logs showed that when she went to johns house with karen, that the phone log only registered that she stayed on the first floor, johns bedroom is on the second floor. So she lied about going upstairs into johns room and then to see the daughters room. She never bothered to search for him because Jen maccabe already knew where john was. At the flag pole near the TREES.
The TREES is the most important part of jen mccabes testimony because as follows :
When karen, kery and jen drove back to the alberts house from johns house, jen maccabe told them to look for the trees, so they would know when they are pulling up at the alberts house.
Jen pointed the trees out hoping karen would look in that direction , because jen knew were johns body was , near the trees which is near the fire hydrant and the flag pole !! (it is in jens testimoney in court)
So as they pulled up and karen is looking at the trees, she spots johns body very quickly , because he is near the flag pole and this is the trap that jen wanted karen to fall into,.
So now jen can say. " as we pulled up to the alberts house, karen suddenly screamed there is john and jumped out of the car, see, so karen is the one that hit john with the car because karen found him so quickly because karen knew that she hit john and left him there near the flag pole, near the trees.

When the snow begins to stick, but is still light, it throws everything into sharp relief. And I know that for me, it is an impulse I guess I would call it, to basically do a 180 and take in the beauty, especially at night when the snow absorbs noise, and makes even a busy city seem peaceful. A not yet frozen body would continue to somewhat melt the snow. With all this hysterical discussion, I am not yet clear how visible John was at 0530 or so when he was discovered to be dead.

It's easy for your brain to selectively focus on one thing, given that you've been assigned to a specific task or trying to accomplish a specific thing. For instance, Jen McCabe looking for JO to come out of the car. This is normal for when you're expecting to see a friend or wait for a friend to come over. If you don't see anyone coming out of the car, the next natural thing for the brain to do is look around the area to see if anyone is around and/or walking over. It's very unlikely you can miss a 6'2 man laying dead in the lawn and blame it on selective attention. Imagine JO is your friend and you're expecting him to come over to your house for dinner, his car is parked outside but somehow he's taking forever to ring the doorbell, what would you think or do next?

Her pointing out the table is a great example. She really thought she did something there. She was trying to make the attorney look stupid or prevent herself from looking foolish by pointing out the table.
But getting her to point it out was the entire point. Beautiful.
If I was a juror I would be very aware of how impossible it is for these people to just answer simple questions and tell their story.
If she were answering honestly then not every answer would be so "perfect". Anything that is remotely off script she is POSITIVE about. Anything else? Her memory is fuzzy and she does not remember. If she must answer then she leaves an out.

He went into the house, Colin was drunk, saw JO and picked a fight. The dog was protecting Colin, so he began attacking John. Karen, waiting outside, gets mad at John for making her wait, and she drives off. In the mean time, John is getting beaten, hits his head, is unconscious. They take his body outside and leave it, hoping he’s dead or he will be by morning. Colin and his cousin take the dog somewhere to get rid of it. That’s why she traveled so far on her way home that night. Massive cleanup for the others who were there, except for Higgins, who said, “I got the heck outta there”.

No they won't. With this pack of liars they will enjoy all the protection that the criminal Democrats enjoy. Nope she will not be charged with perjury.

One of the girls who was in the truck of Ryan said the same thing about wishing she’d seen a body.

You’re absolutely right about her & her testimony. She’s a clearly a Narcissist. What an attitude! She’s angry that he dare question her. Apparently, in her Workd, she’s the one who is ‘not to be questioned’. I can now see her husband differently & it explains a lot about him. He acted like an ‘abused, subservient man who was trying to deliver testimony as he was instructed’ abd not a man providing honesty testimony. My guess is she’s in charge and likely the leader of this situation of the ‘night’s testimony’. What gets me is her complete lack of any sadness or emotion regarding the death of a friend’. Feet away sit the parents of John O’Keefe yet she has no softness, kindness or sadness in her voice. That’s disgraceful & telling. What a harsh, hardened woman. My guess is everyone in her house jumps to her commands. Can you imagine being her adult daughter still under her control? The fear & anxiety people feel living in that kind of environment for years is debilitating. Her husband Matt acted just like a man who has been beaten down by a domineeeing woman which explains his ‘inappropriate laughter.& smirks. They really are a defense mechanism which I’m sure is the best he could do through years of living of his wife’s oppression. He’s married into a tightly controlled clan, where he has no control, free thought or choice. I’m sure he’s scared to death of her and she’s used to & expects everyone to bend to her wishes. Alan Jackson isn’t doing as instructed. How dare he question her or confuse her as she’s in control. This is definitely a ‘dictator’. She’s probably the most obvious of any members of the Albert Clan. Although her mask is fixed carefully and she wears the costume well, it’s slipped too many times during the testimony. Alan Jackson has shown who she really is. The f the Judge wasn’t so clearly in the Prosecutor’s camp, she would’ve spoken you and instructed Ms McCabe to answer Mr Jackson’s questions when she continued to push back and argue. Of course, the Judge said nothing which is more evidence of how one sides this Judge is. She is obviously trying to provide assistance to the Prosecutor and his witnesses which isn’t her job. Isn’t she supposed to be on the side of the truth abd isn’t the Defendant just that, the Defendant not the. ‘Guilty Party’? Ms Karen Read is the Accused Not the Guilty Party! This should has zero control. I give Alan Jackson huge credit fir maintaining a calm resolve during this interaction and questioning of Ms McCabe. She’s a nightmare witness but fortunately she’s unable to keep her mask in place so people are likely finally seeing this woman for who she really is!
