Paul and his wife testified how Karen was treated at the hospital by the Okeefe family (and everyone). The didn’t hug her, cry with her, speak to her, or allow her to see John at the Hospital. And THEN they are angry that she doesn’t want to grieve with them all day? Gee, I wonder if Karen got a vibe from them?
And the 1 thing Mrs Peggy O'Keefe said did Karen just left him alone at the party like John was a 13 year old boy not a 46 old men, i believe she never liked Karen
Gee, or maybe they got a vibe from her with all the evidence already found on and around John’s body. And Mrs. O’Keefe saying to Karen, “You left him there?” when Karen told John's mother that she left him at the bar, which was another lie.

I guess she turned into a trained police dog and shredded his arm like that and also puncture wounds top and bottom teeth on the elbow area. Comeon. If she’d hit him with the car I believe she would have freaked out ON THE SPOT and everyone would have known. Higgins, Brian Albert, Collin Albert, and I want to know if Brian’s daughter called her bf to come get her in order to get Chloe (the dog) out of the house which is why she never barked and woke the Albert’s the next morning.

He simply could not and cannot accept the idea that these people who supposedly love him and loved John and their family would kill John purposely or not and then have Other police officers tamper with evidence to frame someone. P O’K needs to remember that most of the people who believe KR is innocent also want justice for his brother.
The only problem is Paul O'Keefe has seen the evidence-the forensic, digital, the electronic data that scientifically proves Karen Read reversed her vehicle back into his brother. She did not just accidentally hit him. She deliberately reversed her vehicle back uo 62 ft at 24 mph to slam into O'Keefe. Please inform yourself of the actual evidence and consider how you would feel if this was your brother?

Let’s say she did it! Why did they get rid of the dog? Why did they get rid of their phones? Why did they sell their house? Why didn’t they come out of their house at any point when all this was going on? Why did the prosecutors present the car in the garage backwards? It’s not logical. Where are the bruises on his lower body?
So their actions mean guilt but hers don't? I didn't go to a friend's funeral, I sold my house around the same time but first redid my floors... does that mean I murdered my friend?

This man paralysed an innocent person by hitting them at 24mph. And he thinks that Karen Read in a fit of rage reversed into John, leaving no physical evidence on the body? He of all people should realise that is impossible. And to top it off Karen was the one who bailed him out a few months before this happened. Where was his family then? When he started defending Proctor I lost any empathy I had for him. It is because of Proctor that even if Karen did it she will go free. And Proctor never even looked for anyone else. Does he even know how incredibly ignorant he sounds?
What’s the most frustrating thing for me is someone knows. Someone knows the truth and won’t come forward.
Karen Read knows as she originally told everyone at the scene, but you’re right, she won’t come forward.

It was a slanted interview, but I don't think that's crazy considering the context.
The interviewer/production could genuinely not want to grill or push back on a grieving family member of the victim. Or they could just view it as a bad PR move to do so.
Plus, I think if I were the interviewer, I'd expect any pushback would result in the brother just up and leaving.
People who are for Karen Reed are doing the same thing there accusing the O'Keefe family of doing only seeing what they want to see. Karen's own Father on national television Karen said she thinks she hit something I believe she did it. She dated this man and she has no remorse her story keeps changing.
Nothing but compassion for him…but he is blinded by hatred for her. I understand it. But him saying “she backed over him”….where. is. the. blood…. There is NO credible evidence to support the theory she killed him. And that arm was absolutely bitten by a dog. How can so much be so overlooked…unreal.
How do you get rammed by a Lexus and not have a bruise anywhere except your face? How did none of the 300 people walking all night long, past the area where he was found, see him out there? Why was there snow under his body? It's just so maddening. Lawyer Lee said yesterday that she thinks the prosecution didn't prove their case, but that KR probably did it. I was gobsmacked.
I agree. It's mind boggling. Watching his interview I'm thinking did he just ignore the evidence or the lack of evidence the prosecution had. I'm Sure Karen was asking herself that night, could she of hit him. I would of. But to say Karen hit JO in rage and they were fighting, that's exactly what Lally said. No one was there and can't know what their last words were.
He needs to realize that as of right now it's a 50-50 chance so he needs to start thinking it could've been the Mcalberts and he was in court everyday and he still feels this way has me MINDBLOWN!!!!

It's pretty grotesque to claim the trial is about John, when the State is trying to put Karen in prison for the rest of her life, on a theory that simply couldn't happen.
100% agree with you. Unfortunately, John is dead and nothing is going to change that, but Karen is clearly innocent and wrongly being prosecuted for murder. Sorry, Paul but the commonwealth made this about someone else rather than actually investigate your brother's murder.

Before that, Yannetti was going with "if she hit him, she didn't mean to" in court. Then Jackson shows up and with the help of Karen and the reptile, they decided to not go with the I didn't mean to hit him defense and started making up their conspiracy theory, making sure it would become a big internet story. Now no one is interested in the truth. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

There's no evidence John was hit by a car.
Everything points to Karen’s guilt. No one knows exactly where John was hit and how his injuries occurred, but his cause of death was blunt force trauma and hypothermia. That is a fact. She didn’t stop John from stepping away from her path of travel. She just gunned it at 23 mph while her SUV is warning her visually and with audio sounds while she is backing up.
Common sense tells you that no scientist or Einstein can tell you he wasn’t hit by a car. Science is not fact. Real scientists know that. It is obvious that Karen backed into him. There’s all kinds of evidence that proves that. It isn’t even complicated.
There was grass under his body, not snow. The blizzard had just started. His warm body melted any snow that was under him. He didn’t “bleed down” that I know of. Most of the bleeding was internal, there was very little on the outside, even though Karen said to the world that she was the only one who tried to save him and that she was covered in blood. Not even close to the truth, Karen Read.
I am beginning to understand why Karen feels she is being framed - just scary to be in her shoes

Imo, the McAlberts are keeping a close eye on the Okeefes to make sure they aren’t talking to the Feds and getting the real deal. They are dirty. Imo, they beat up John for whatever reason and threw him out on the snow thinking he would survive it and be so fearful, he would not speak of it ever again. Unfortunately for them, it went too far and he died on their yard due to a brain bleed. I see this happening. Who wouldn’t go check what was happening right in your front yard?
I can’t believe Paul O’Keefe expressed sympathy for Proctor, defended him even, especially because Proctor was probably one of the biggest reasons for the mistrial.

I honestly think that his family doesn't care what Proctor said because they were likely saying the same things or worse about her. If they allow themselves to realize that what Proctor did was wrong then they have to acknowledge that they themselves are wrong.
The speed with which they turned on KR and sticking with that despite everything that came out at trial . . . That kind of makes me think they were talking about her like this long before John died.

John's mother asked Karen at the hosptial "what do you mean you dropped him off and left him?" She didn't know anything at that time about being hit by a car. John O Keefe was 42 years old and his mother was angry at Karen for dropping him off like he was a teenager. His mother never liked Karen and it came out BEFORE Karen ever went to the house to pick up her belongings, BEFORE she spoke to Erin O Keefe on the phone, BEFORE she asked to see the kids.
If my "mother in laws" immediate reaction at the hospital is trying to guilt me by asking "what do you mean you dropped him off?" I wouldn't feel welcomed in their presence anymore either. What was the "vibe" Karen walked into initially? Were the O Keefe's attempting speak to her? Communication goes both ways. Did they sit quietly and wait for her to engage? A lot of reasons she may not have interacted with them aside from she's guilty. Its just such a sad story and i hope we get the truth for the kids.

Having been in a fatal car crash myself, I was severely injured and the father of my two children was killed on impact due to blunt force trauma. Our babies were 5 years and 14 months old at the time . The road has been long and difficult ,listening to this is heartbreaking 💔 This trial has brought so much to the surface for me ,including the mixed emotions our family faced .
Trauma is real, but facts are facts! As hard as it is to believe the truth of what actually happened to OJO ,especially while grieving, it is what will help this family start to heal . Blaming Karen Read is the easy way out, anger is an easier emotion (IMO)! My heart and prayers are with the O'Keefe family but, Karen Read is innocent. Shame on Jen McCabe ,the McAlbet's, and the corrupt MSP! This should never, ever happen again, to anyone!

Can we talk about the fact that Kerry testified when they brought the mom to see John in the hospital she was accusing Karen of the murder so they were against her from the jump
Yeah she needed to blame Karen from the jump because she never dealt with her boys being alcoholics and the issues they had, that lead to this, from their childhood. She was their mother, not Karen who became the perfect scapegoat for their pain.
Probably because before arriving to the scene KR already said he was dead. And she ran straight to him covered in snow in the dark. Because she knew she’d hit him. How else would she believe he was dead?! Guilty

Before even listening to Paul O'Keefe's interview, I gotta say he didn't seem to be watching the trial he attended. He was staring down Karen the whole time and showed no interest in defense's questions and witnesses. Does he even know any of the evidence?
They are hurt, angry, and grieving. KR is the only person they have to blame for it, and perhaps they can’t accept that JOK’s brothers in blue didn’t care enough to investigate his death properly, throughly, and with integrity.
The Albert’s and McCabe’s didn’t go to his funeral. Their brothers in blue. I find that so very odd.
The fact that he still supports them, with how they destroyed all the evidence, blows my mind. If it was my friends, I would be so mad, If I was that secure she did it, I would be blaming them all because now we don’t have evidence. He is delusional and I feel is so much gaslight from that clan. Still, he is an adult and is time to start looking for healthy ways to start healing.

The _evidence_ proves Karen Read is _innocent!_ The suspicious behavior of the McAlberts, their collusion in group texts & during interviews w/ police, their inconsistent testimony, their story changing over time about Karen's statements and Colin being at the house, their odd behavior the day of John's death, the excessive "butt-dials," the dog bite/scratch marks, and Jen McCabe's 2:27am search prove they were responsible for the crime & the cover-up! 💯
The FBI usually supports the PROSECUTION!!! Not the DeFENSE. The fact that they support the defense’s theory in this case says a lot.

The FBI’s reconstruction experts testimony that JO’s injuries were not consistent with being struck by vehicle is much more valuable evidence than the behavior he describes. Many things could explain her behavior….But as the expert witness maintained, you can’t deny the science.

My partner is also the type to say “I’ll take the kids, I’ll take their friends and the homeless refugee as well” but will do no dishes, no laundry, no parenting. I’ve said the exact same thing, yes he died tragically, that doesn’t mean he was a saint. Karen also took on a parenting role of children not even related to her. She homeschooled them during lockdown, and even with my own kids, who I adore more than life itself, that was a horrendously tough time.
This interview really aggravated me. He’s basing his conclusion on feelings and emotions and has allowed Jenn McCabe and o manipulate his perspective. The fact that he said “Proctor has had his life turned upside down because of this” as if he’s blaming Karen for that - that just shocked me!! He literally said “no one was ever supposed to see those text messages” so somehow he’s a victim because the FBI got involved???? He’s saying “the FBI only got cherry picked evidence from the defense” when in reality the FBI got the evidence that the police and commonwealth collected!!! They asked the reconstructionist to put the exact theory that Lally claims happened to the test, which is exactly what they did!! Their findings were VERY clear - John DID NOT get hit by Karen’s car! Why doesn’t he do an interview without “cherry picking” the questions?!?! I’d love to hear what he has to say about the evidence that came in due to the FBI investigation. Honestly, Paul made it seem like even the FBI was somehow siding with Karen all because she has the “showboat defense attorney”. Maybe he should really listen to the people of canton. He seems to think they are supporting Karen just because Aiden Kearny made a big deal about things. The reality is Karen has the supporters she has because the people from that area are sick and tired of the dirty and corrupt cops and what they get away with. Like most of them say “Karen could be any one of us”. Her supporters are there because she is FINALLY exposing the corruption. There’s finally a spotlight on it and the dirty cops may actually have to FINALLY suffer some consequences!!! It really disgusts me that the McAlberts have been able to manipulate him and his mother and that they can’t see what REALLY happened. He said he reached out to Levy, I hope he gets back to Paul and tells him the TRUTH. It’s clear Paul has blinders on - the fact that he said the FBI should have never been involved, Josh Levy should have nothing to do with this case……the O’Keefe’s should be OUTRAGED at Proctor and everyone else who dropped the ball on the investigation of his brothers murder. The sloppy way they handled everything for a “brother in blue” is a disgrace. The fact that Paul doesn’t seem to see an issue with any of that, it speaks volumes to me.
Small note, I don't think the FBI reconstructionists were hired to evaluate Lally/Trooper Paul's theory. I think they were hired as a control group, so to speak, to show what a proper attempt at reconstruction would look like. That way there would be no bias from them knowing that the FBI was investigating a particular thing. The reason I believe this is because they weren't given a theory, they were only given evidence, and they were allowed to go down the "glass thrown at tail light" route despite it not having much relevance (as far as I can see).

Right - a loved one of mine passed away just before going into the hospital. Like days before. He was refusing to go in any earlier because he hated hospitals. But he was confused and it was obvious he was very unwell. We just had no idea how badly. We thought there was no harm in allowing him to wait, and not stress him further. I still feel guilt and responsibility years on for not pushing harder. Of course, objectively it is not my fault. In retrospect it was obvious to see how bad things were. But at the time, it truly seemed that we would be able to get him into hospital and be treated. I'm sorry for the rambling answer. My point is, even if it isn't rational at all, it is totally possible to feel responsible even if you absolutely are not.
One thing you learn about death is everyone grieves in different ways. Karen's relationship with john had been strained for a while and she was probably going to leave him soon anyways, his untimely death likely accelerated the death of their relationship. Her desire to distance herself from the family and john was likely already well established before the death. Voicing that desire might have been poor timing but again grief affects everyone differently. he see's her desire to leave as a sign she was running but it could be that she just wanted to be alone to grieve. They're not her family, they're his, so she may not have wanted to grieve with them. Who knows how they were going to grieve with her there, they might have taken their feelings out on her. As he clearly stated he suspected her right away without any evidence.

The problem I had initially with the evidence was that 1. Victim was run over with the back of the car supposedly, which makes little sense because it is difficult to steer backwards unless you’re a very skilled driver 2. Occurred in a blizzard with difficult driving conditions 3. Injuries don’t match the murder weapon
When you find out they didn’t find the tail light for days or weeks, it’s over. Victim didn’t die that way.
I watched the entire trial here from Portugal, where I just saw this interview. It baffles me how this family refuses to understand what was shown to them, and to us, during the circus that was the trial. They don't have to believe in a conspiracy, but they could and should look at the evidence. They could think 'if it wasn't her, who was it?' and focus on finding an answer to what really matters.

I’m super bummed that I missed this live ! I totally understand the mindset of the O’Keefe’s. However, speaking as an outsider here, how can you reach such a concise conclusion only hours after learning of an immense tragedy? I can’t say whether or not I would react differently. I haven't really followed this trial, but please, whatever spiritual creature is out there, help the O'Keefes with all of their pain. The family, especially the kids, do not need anymore heart break in their lives. My heart completely breaks for them. Whatever the truth is, I hope it comes to light.

It’s so sad that this is how they came to see her as 100% guilty. If things were bad at the end of the relationship, if she really wished to not know another O’Keefe ever again, and no one mentioned if she was medicated at the hospital that morning for the panic she was in- I can 100% see a coping mechanism in this moment being to try to keep herself together by focusing on her anger at him and not fall apart because he passed- that she needed to remind herself it was over between them, that she needed to move on with her life and disengage. That family was already so emotionally drawn because of previous tragedy and I’m sure she didn’t want to get wrapped up in the emotional turbulence that was going to whip up. They were not her family. They were going to mourn someone she was falling out of love with. I would t have wanted to stay either. She would be going through a whole lot of emotional hoops herself. No one seems to care how she would be feeling that morning, giving her the benefit of innocence without proven guilt- she was the outsider, she was in the verge of breaking up with this man, and people were telling her she was suspect. I wouldn’t want to be there either. Not hiding from guilt, just getting away from it all.

So what Karen did was kind of normal. She was with John not her brother etc. They were not even married. Seems pretty normal to me given the situation. Not her family, not her kids. I know that sometimes yes you do sense something from "the vibes" but he needs to be able to break that down and tiny actions that might have given him vibes, he needs to be able to articulate that. Eg, I tried to look at her expecting our pain to resonate in that moment we held each others eyes, but... she looked away, quickly, awkwardly. She wouldn't look at me. Not even for a moment.

I don’t think the O’Keefe family should be attacked. I think they’re in denial. But I will say, by the end of this interview, I felt he was being their mouthpiece and was prepped for this interview. They can believe that Karen in guilty, but also acknowledge that Proctor was out of line and that the investigation, especially collecting blood evidence in solo cups, was unacceptable. The fact he saw no issues with any of that makes it clear that they would never be open minded to any other possibility than Karen being responsible.

I feel Karen Reid said 'we won't talk again' and packed quickly at the house, because they had already made it perfectly clear to her, that they viewed her as a murderer. Within hours an entire 'pack' and the 'pack mentality' was totally against her.

In Karen's texts or emails with John before his death, I think Karen says to John that the "four of them together are toxic" meaning that either Paul's wife or both Paul and his wife are not nice to Karen or perhaps they don't get along. It is possible that Karen was so frustrated that she is babysitting John's adopted children while John is not home or even when he is home and John's brother and wife never come to really help. Paul's wife was probably saying she has her own kids to watch but Karen may have been saying that she isn't even married to John. The fact that John, a police officer had Karen drive them to the Albert's home, shows me that either John felt and knew he was too drunk to drive and may have an accident if he drove or get a DUI and felt better Karen drive. Too bad John who had responsibilities to take care of the children just didn't go home back to his home after drinking at two bars. Too bad Karen needed John to tell her he likes another girl better than her, for her to break up with him, instead of her breaking up with him then, or before, because it wasn't working out after two years. I feel the jury should have voted not guilty but too bad Karen did not walk away from John. This drinking business of all of them is nuts.
I was in a horrible accident in high school with my boyfriend. Even though the accident was an accident my boyfriends family treated me like it was my fault or intentional. We got hit entering the highway by a semi. His family was my only family all of highschool. They made me feel like an outsider at the hospital. I can 100% see where she would feel like she has to walk away from the family.

What jumps out to me- Paul saying he bases his belief that it was Karen because of how she was acting the morning after- what we can’t forget is- she was grieving too! Even if she was fighting with John, that doesn’t mean she didn’t love him. Everyone grieves differently, and in a lot of ways, the description of how she was acting the morning after sounds like she was in shock. And I personally think it’s only natural that she would want to be with her family after such a loss- the people that know her best. To me- from what we know- her actions that morning don’t seem inappropriate.

The O’Keefe family has definitely seen more tragedy than most families and it is heartbreaking. I watched every second of the trial with an open mind and being through family tragedies I know the pain. I honestly don’t think anyone stays sober long enough in Canton to think straight and see the actual evidence… they should take a vacation away from Canton get away from the corrupt people feeding lies and keeping them close… get out and get a new perspective. And one more thing … people in glass house shouldn’t throw stones Paul.. especially with your track record.
