Ngl, it kinda reminds me of my (very narcissistic) father in a way that I find funny. Much like Sarah, my father likes to believe he's the smartest person in the room at any given time and will talk a fair bit like she does. If she has the personality disorder that I think she does, she literally does NOT possess the ability to be self-aware. She doesn’t know she’s the problem and she never will. That said, she will make every step of this a complete nightmare. My thoughts and prayers to the judge, the jury, the prosecution, and most importantly- Jorge and his family.

When I was in jail and I demanded the court documents I got a stack of papers that was 10 inches thick.. I wish I would have read every page. The prosecutor hide a piece of evidence that could have got me off but it was a one-sentence on one page in the middle of the stack of papers. I had a public defender and I was guilty I didn't even read every page I know he didn't. He got me a great plea deal and I shouldn't complain

It is good. Her behaviour is why a man was classified an abuser during their relationship and why he eventually became her victim. He had nowhere to turn for help because remember, she was the victim. Not him.

I think Jorge was a victim of DV. I believe he fought back to defend himself a few times, resulting in his arrest and revolving door when Sarah would get him out next day. Never pressing charges because she instigated fights

Boones behaviour / tactics shows she is the one who always needs control and to manipulate the situation. She was the abuser. 100% agree. She knew how to work the legal system and police to ensure he was deemed the abuser.
She reminds me of someone I kinda know. She would (allegedly) ring the police saying her husband was DVing her, start on her now ex verbally pushing his buttons and he would snap and shout back just in time for the police to arrive. Boom, he was the bad guy

Yup. It’s what I’ve been saying since her 1st letter. It was obvious in the body cam and her interrogation too. Too many people were way too generous with their sympathies and giving her the benefit of a doubt that she not a narcisstic-like abuser (I also personally see other personality disorder traits in her.)
It’s that crying quite woman effect. Even her own ex-husband said she was abusive when she began drinking. I think the appearance of the victim, Jorge, allowed others to believe her too.

I guess it depends upon the judge but in the Darrell Brooks' case, Judge Jennifer Dorow was gracious and fair and permitted the State to help supply him with copies, scans, and other resources that he would need to move forward. Of course, he had to follow protocol, which overwhelmed him, but he did it. However, Judge Dorow had the patience of a saint. Somehow I don't think this judge is going to take any guff from Boone. I think she's smart enough to defend herself, but she has stalled this trial for so long, and time is running out, and she blew her chance in having a decent and very competent lawyer. I think Sarah Boone suffers from foot in mouth disease, but as for pen to paper, if she can write 59 letters, she can fill out the forms and documents that she will need. She's "Lawyer #9" now, so she better hustle!

Boone smart enough to represent herself? 😅😅😅 I didn't know that she had passed the Bar. It's not all about intelligence (or perceived intelligence). It's majorly about following legal standards and processes. File late? Lose the filing. Fail to make cogent legal arguments; lose more rights.
She's of perhaps average intelligence, at best, but that isn't going to matter because she lacks _wisdom._ When you don't empathize with others, and don't understand how your behaviour informs their opinions of you, it's hard to predict their next move. It's massive blind spot.

I'm not a professional in the psych area, but it appears she has a "PHOBIA" OF CONFRONTATION/ CONSEQUENCES.
She's been playing the Stall Game by changing lawyers. She runs away from Depositions, and even of seriously discussing her Charges and Trial.

I can see Sarah Boone representing herself, losing her case, and then filing an appeal, and then her reason for appeal is ineffectiveness of counsel because she represented herself!!!🤣🤣🤣
The appeal would more likely claim that she was entitled to court-appointed counsel because she did not waive the right. That claim could probably be made in an interlocutory appeal, but I doubt Boone could do that herself. I don't think it would succeed, but I'm no expert.

The "blacked out" excuse isn't a valid defense in most states if she willingly intoxicated herself.
And Sarah herself stated multiple times during her interrogation that she wasn't drunk. If she testifies, cross will absolutely destroy her.

I saw a video of a woman who said Sarah is writing these letter just for the public to see since she can’t speak on social media to tell her story. She knew the judge wouldn’t look at them but knew they would be put out for people to see. I thoroughly believe that.

Trial date is set and not to be delayed if SB asks for more time to prepare to represent herself. Train has finally left the station after almost 5 years delay
Technically, she doesn't HAVE to represent herself. All the judge ruled was that she's waived her right to a court-appointed attorney. So, while the court may have said "yeah, no, no more lawyers from us for you, thx", she can still, in theory, hire a private attorney to represent her case. That being said, at that point it's a matter of her being able to have the $$ for that (she doesn't), so for all intents and purposes, she's forced to represent herself.
Sarah is just so unintentionally entertaining. For a murder trial this has been lighthearted. Thank you for covering her antics!

They probably have a limited number of rejections. She'll go through hers pretty quickly.
I would hope that each side can only dismiss a certain number of potential jurors when the other side doesn't agree.
You are only allowed to dismiss for clear specified reasons like bias. Then you have a few (like two) that you can dismiss without giving a reason. So she will be pretty limited. But she might try to dismiss everybody.
With all the evidence that determined the 2nd Degree Murder charge, the last 4+ years has been an epic waste of time. She has a snowball's chance in hell of beating the rap.

Yes. She’s stupid. She’ll get jail time no matter what. BUT if she had of accepted that and worked with a lawyer she could go down the battered spouse syndrome route, argue that they were playing a game and that she was drunk and fell asleep. I believe with a good lawyer, there would be a defence there that would minimise her jail time if she could accept what she did. She deserves life IMO, but she could have argued a defence if she accepted her guilt.

Without the video that she recorded, I think she would have had a shot with the unintentional defense.
When you look at her behaviors from at the crime scene & the interrogation up until the judges ruling that her days of abusing & disrespecting the process including a parade of court appointed attorney are over, you get a frightening glimpse into how manipulative, self entitled, delusional, controlling & deeply rooted in denial she has shown herself
To be. She decided at the interrogation that "living without Jorge" was punishment enough. And she has decided that because she claims she didn't intend to kill Jorge Torres, that she is now somehow the victim. She refused to see that that's not how our legal system works.. and there is plenty of evidence just released to the public that puts a huge question mark on
what her intentions were. Even if there wasn't presence of certain evidence she still would've been charged with a crime in my opinion. I wonder if the state will be allowed to present evidence of the details of why this case has taken close to five years to get tried. I'm no lawyer, but I think it is very relevant to show a jury the pattern of behavior this defendant has exhibited these past 4.5 years, the lengths she will go, the lies she will tell, the baseless disrespectful mug slinging she'll throw, or the unfounded self serving nonsense that comes out of her mouth when she doesn't get what she wants,doesn't get her way or things aren't going as
"planned" i think it's important to show the total lack of respect she has for the judicial system, no line she won't cross, and her need to control things that are not for her to control, ie PD dropping out like flies. I think the evidence speaks for itself, but it might be helpful in the interest of justice, to show her as the person she is, not the person she wants to be seen as. Those are two very different people..

Yes you can, but it's merely on paper and obviously doesn't affect the actual time served.

Whatever sentence sure gets, time served will count toward it. It technically counts toward a life sentence, but would be a moot point.
This trial should be 4 or 5 minutes not days, the video she took sealed her fate
You would not the opening statements in four or five minutes.
The cellphone video and bodycam admission is all the prosecution has to show, shouldn't take more than a day of "testimony".
Then she can take the stand and question herself to seal the jury's opinion that she's a lunatic.
Feels like a ploy to put her address out there to the public. Maybe hoping her "fans" will write her. 🤷♀️

She is being charged with being part of the conspiracies in the attempted murder of Brandon B & the murder of Charles Vallow in Arizona.

Props to the new judge for bringing the hammer down. I was beginning to think she had single-handedly checkmated the system, and was going to spend her entire 25-or-so-year sentence at the jail delaying her trial, and then get credit for time served.
