Knowing Princess Cruises does not ship the medallions to countries outside of the US or Canada, I was anxious to look through your video to find out if there are any other ways that I, a resident of Thailand, can shift myself and my wife and friends to the Green Lane. Unfortunately, there's nothing new and we're back to square one. BTW, your video on the cost breakdown of Princess Cruises (drink) packages was very informative and useful. Thanks there!

Use Princess app all the time. Have a trans Atlantic cruise booked on Regal Princess from Southampton to Galveston next October of 2024. I am already green lane for my wife and I. Already booked all our excursions. I think the Princess is great
I agree that the Princess App is great. I didn't get into using if for dining which I think is very nice too. We have looked at that Southhampton to Galveston cruise and have thought about it. BTW our next video is on Galveston Embarkation and will be out next week. Happy Cruising!
I love your guys videos. Especially the one where you broke down the cost of the drink package. That was really helpful. I have a random question, do you guys happen to know if the cabin doors are metal? We are going on the Discovery to the Mexican Riviera in November and then to Hawaii December and we want to decorate our cabin door and I’m trying to figure out if magnets will work. Thanks!
Thank you for watching and your comment. Yes, the doors are metal and we use magnets to decorate ours every cruise. Also the cabin walls are magnetic to take some hooks and clips for there. We talk about that some in our what to pack video. Happy Cruising!
Thank you for another informative video. If your are in green line, do you think there is a value to priority embarkation perk? Or do you find that Princess embarkation is typically very organized and as long as you are in green line, it pretty smooth? We are looking do sail from Ft. Lauderdale if that makes difference. Thanks!
I find that Princess embarkation is typically very organized. The embarkation timing does vary a bit from port to port. In slower ports such as Vancouver , it is quicker if you have priority boarding. Fort Lauderdale is a terrific port and you are green lane with your medallion, you should be able to board quickly. My quickest boarding time time is 7 minutes from walking into the terminal then going thru security and boarding the ship.
We're seeing a lot of questions on Princess Group pages regarding boarding passes or assigned boarding times. From what we can tell, Princess had streamlined the process so both passes and assigned time slots are no longer used. Can you share with us your experience of what information you received from Princess and or Travel Agent regarding boarding times, please? Also, your breakdown on drink packages was the best ever.
Hi and Thank you for your kind words!! Correct, Princess no longer uses boarding groups or passes and I just verified they are no longer in the Princess App. They didn't use them on our last cruise in August and they are not on our next one in November either.
All you need to board is your passport and medallion. And you can pick up your medallion at the port, but that is blue lane and takes a few minutes longer. You will still want to put all the other information into the app to streamline boarding.

Do you know how long it takes for the medallion to be shipped? I’m leaving in 3 weeks, don’t think there’s enough time. Great video
Thank you for watching. In our experience the medallions are shipped about 3 weeks before departure. We always receive an email saying they have shipped.
If they don’t ship them for some reason, they will have them at the port for you.

I just returned from a Discovery Princess cruise. I love the Medallion Class experience BUT I was absolutely shocked and dismayed that they didn't have a bin for us to return the medallion which is a type of airtag. Where are they made and who are they made by? More than likely they're extracted in from mines and manufactured in factories that exploit their labor force. Image 3000-4000 medallions tossed at the end of every cruise. These should be recycled.

That’s a good point and I would imagine Princess would put a recycler bin near the exit if someone pointed it out. We take them home to use as a magnet/souvenir of our wonderful time on the ocean.
We keep ours as souvenirs, just like we kept the previous cruise cards. I am curious how many people would like the opportunity to discard the medallions. Also, are they any good for location purposes after the cruise?
@@c4l977 I think they're basically useless after the cruise but the parts inside can most certainly be reused.
Where does it tell us, on the NEW App, which Lane color we are?
Hi Thanks for the comment. The new app says you will receive the boarding pass 11 days before sailing so I assume if you have the Green Check and ordered your medallions then you will be in the green lane on the boarding pass.

When I click on CHOOSE YOUR MEDALLION WEARABLE, I have choices of paid medallions so I choose the $10 lanyard but it won’t allow me to SAVE AND CONTINUE. I’m just stuck there!
Princess is supposedly dropping a whole new app on December 1. Maybe that will help.
I have had the same problem once or twice and got it to work by closing the app and trying a day or two later.

i didn`t pick ship to home at first, but i found i get free shipping. How do i change it now?
Hi. Thanks for watching. Ironically I was just ordering ours for our sept cruise. I don’t know for sure, but in the app if you look at your medallion order there is a cancel button. I didn’t try it. But you may be able to reorder with the updated shipping instead of pickup. If you attempt it, please let us know how it goes. Happy cruising.
