    I have one of these locks. I never realized it had a pinning window. Really cool!

    That's a really clever way of rethinking the lock to a different key. I love the fact that it's so easy to take out the key pins and even add a 6th pin.
    Very well demonstrated video HLP 🔓🙂👍🏻

    Oh damn! It's a good thing I was keeping the box to mine, because I wasn't aware of the extra pin/spring/cover nestled inside of it. I've got extra pins, but was trying to think of how to plug the hole. Was going to use either a wiper blade or a set screw.

    Very clearly described, HLP, and what a neat design with that re-pinning window :) Maybe a few words on how you select the new key pins would be useful, especially for those who have never re-keyed anything before, and then where to get key blanks to fit specific locks like this one? Nice job, as always :)

    Is this a good lock to practice picking with 2 or 3 or 4 pin stacks? If so, what’s the best way to remove the extra springs and driver pins?

    • @HelpfulLockPicker
      @HelpfulLockPicker  Před 3 lety

      You would need to use a plug follower and tweezer. Check out my video on how to gut and Reassemble a lock

    Where can I get an 83 core retaining screw without paying $5+ shipping for just a screw? Should either the cores or the coreless locks come with the screw and those from my supplier don't for some reason?
