      If you are adult and you are 16+ you have choice to whom hug or not and you can openly talk to your parents too that you don't like people hugging or something. I'm glad this helps you but always speak up . Nothing bad in speaking up and telling you not okay with that

    The middle-aged women in my office are ALWAYS looking for an excuse to hug me whether it's an office party or meeting. During one chance meeting in the hallway, a female boss insisted on hugging me and only didn't do it because I told her I was worried about COVID. I once held out my hand to prevent a hug and all the women talked about what a jerk I was that day. They just don't get it.

    Once when I started becoming friends with a woman, I plopped my hand on her shoulder in a friendly gesture. Her eyes got real big and she looked freaked out. That's all it took for me to remove my hand. We're actually friends to this day but I never again put my hand on her shoulder.

    • @raineyhayes3821
      @raineyhayes3821 Před 4 lety +62

      @Talsong Kingslayer Hmm.. It scares you if a man puts his hands on you but not a woman? Anyway, most people understand the difference between a friendly touch and an aggressive one. There's also romantic touches which are only acceptable with romantic partners. (I've never executed a romantic touch because I'm not a romantic fellow). Still, there are people who don't like being touched at all. This woman didn't seem like that type because she's nice and talks to people a lot. I put my hand on her shoulder when I saw her in a used book store and wanted to point out the sci fi event that was taking place there. (We're both nerds and bookworms). She saw who I was and knew I meant no harm but she was still freaked out. Seeing the signs of this, I removed my hand and apologized for freaking her out. We continued our conversation as if nothing happened.

      I dont like it when certain men do what they do either. But, to think women dont have any fault in that outcome is absurd. They do a lot to antogonize men. They need to start making some changes instead of going in a linear direction with blinders on, continuing to create such stringent rules and regulations. Their will always be different types of men with all types of intentions that dont understand specific boundaries. But, the boundaries and control measures have gotten absolutely ridiculous and getting worse all the time to the point where either men are not going to know what women want or whats acceptable, or theres gonna be that ugly extreme that should never happen which is rape. And then there are those types of men who are absolutely satisfied being run by women, which is sickening to me, but whatever! As stated before, there are different types.

While in reality I think most of the assaults against woman begings more like portrayed in this video. And the woman in this video clerly using techniques wich is mostly about not phisically dominating the opponent, but get in control, before he becomes more agressive. Very helpful!

How many women came forward and told their stories? And that's not even counting all the girls he paid off. But that's nothing compared to killing 140,000 Americans with covid. That's all his fault. Don't tell me he did his best with his stupid ineffective travel ban. It didn't work, and it was way too late. He needed to deal with covid the proper way but he just made up his own bullshit way that didn't work. The economy is the worst it's been since 1933 but okay.

    I think like, if she's an old friend, but now married, or any endearing yet nonromantic hug, I proclaim "small hug" before any contact.
    Same reason you don't send flowers to gal at her job site, until you are for sure an item. Putting someone on the spot isn't cool, and odds are they'll reject, and now they'll stick to that rejection.
    A girl started sitting by be me at church, but then she put her arm through mine while I standing and talking to others, and I wasn't having it. Felt bad for her, but I wasn't interested nor was I going to keep a potential away. I'm sure this happens to ladies as well.
    The crappy standard is when the lady is rejected, you feel bad. If the guy is rejected, he's a creep.

    • @TheMaru666
      @TheMaru666 Před rokem +2

      That is because most whomen are not a phisical threat to most men, and because if the rejection is not clear and strong enough since the begining , and he happens to be a real creep , they 'll say thay you were flirty, that " le diste pie" and he missunderstood . If we reject it too strongly since the begining ,we are histerical , conceited and overreacting .

    I wish this was taught to us as common knowledge. Its so important.
    Sexual predators start by practicing stuff like this, building up that nerve and boldness.
    Then they use it to keep pushing/crossing boundary after boundary after boundary.

    • @ClockworkAnomaly
      @ClockworkAnomaly Před 4 lety

      I highly doubt that. Real Sexual predators tend to appear suddenly in a swift act (of sexual desperation). And then possibly continue doing that to more people in rare cases.
      What you're describing are opportunistic asshats. Not sexual predators. They tend to cross boundaries because the people (including women) they associate with have none. They hang out with easy people and expect everyone they meet in their arenas to be like that.

    • @HeyItsQuayshawn

      @@ClockworkAnomaly That is a common misconception. Most victims of sexual assault know their attacker. The rapist jumping out of the bushes trope is actually more rare. duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=most+sexual+assault+victims+knew+their+attacker&ia=web
      It's also a myth that attacks are done out of desperation, implying that someone attractive would not sexually attack someone. But actually its often about feeling powerful and acting on someone like an object, not simply due to lack of options.

      Sad to say but i watched my brother become a preditor/creepy old man. It started with him sitting uncomfortably close like touching close. I got that put in control quick. Then he started eyeing teen grandaughters giving them his conversation only. Always watching them only. Then small gifts n hugs that were too close like full on body contact. I caught him staring out the bathroom window one time n yep at the girls in thier swimsuits. Then he started going to thier rooms to visit n i had to tell him he could not do that as it was inappropriate. They stopped coming around n when i found out (i found out months later) he actually touched a butt on purpose n tried to say it was accidental/shortly (a month later) after he walked in on one showering he changed his story how it happened several times. It was quite the showdown! He no longer lives with me n everybody is relieved n happy. Yes, he got help unwillingly but when time was up he left for parts unknown. Have no idea if he is alive or dead. Been a yr now. Im not sorry to kick him out. He's lucky i didnt kill him. It came close. The mom, my daughter sure put the fear in him to never come too. She was a raging mamabear❣ barely keeping herself from killing too. Very proud of her n g-daughters for recognizing/acting on because they did.

I tried to fight and he got tighter. I tried to flee and he squeezed in. I ended up freezing, then crying and fawning and hugging him back though I desperately wanted to escape. The orginal poster who goes by the alias of vedic warrior is using a common humor technique reffered to as "satire" this is when the user mainly uses exaggeration irony or humor to criticize the subject's stupidity or attack their values.
      Now since we have the terms and defintions let me explain how this specific satircal joke is absolutely hilarious! The video is suppose to be used for members of the fair sex but verdic warrior is implying that they are member of the male sex additionally it is like a david and goliath situation where the big and strong (verdic in this situation) is being defeated by the old female for you see from natural point of perspective the stronger male is suppose to make the weaker female submit and make the female do his will but this outcome is not enacted thus being hilarious and it is also part of the irony.
      Lets get into the hyperbolic segment of this ludicrously amusing piece of satire which is the unexpected age of the assailant.
      vedic warrior does not provide information on himself but let us presume for practical purposes vedic warrior is a young healthy male in the zenith of his fitness whilst the female assailant is at the nadir of life and thus should have no incentive to go after young males the absurdity of the claim for such a old woman to go after the young male is what makes this segment legitimately hilarious though humour is inherently subjective however due to the likes though it seems as if the majority agrees that this joke is funny.

    Rener: Great question, son! Mom and dad made you in a very long, complicated and dangerous process. First, I have to get by the creepy hug defense, then the Bavarian system, bypass the triple threat, and don't forget the Brazilian Gauntlet. And no matter what, remember to dodge the bootysault- If you get hit by that, it's game over right there! If I make it through all that and all goes well, then it's three to five weeks in the hospital.
    Raeven: Mommy goes to the hospital?
    Rener: No, that part comes later. That was five weeks in the hospital for daddy. In your particular case I suffered a torn rotator cuff, a distal radius fracture, several finger dislocations, a torn MCL, even my medula oblongata got twisted up somehow- you're lucky to even be alive, kiddo.
    Raeven: huh? I don't understand. Where did I come from?

    I'm a guy of almost 7ft. Why am I watching this? LOL.
    I think you show a good approach for your problem.
    My two cents on it: I dislike the idea of grapling as the be all and end all of self-defense, but it has certainly an important role. In this case, it can be used to avoid further escalation, and in other cases, it can prevent unnecessary damage, or end a fight, but when it comes to you being attacked, you need a solid base in kick-boxing. Strikes are just so much faster and many grapling arts rely on overcompliance regarding the opponents attack being exaggerated and him not going back into a guard-position at reasonable speed. Or in short: I lack pressure testing by someone who actually knows how to throw a punch in many grapling arts.
    PS: I've been groped multiple times by women and it pisses me off. If I groped a woman, I'd get smacked and the police called, but when it happens to me, others either ignore it, or laugh! If I'd smack her, or push her away, it would end badly!
