In today's episode of Savage Garage, Jimbo gets Randy back for surprising him a while back with his Lamborghini Murcielago getting fixed. Working with Paulo from The Driver's Vault, Jimbo had Randy's Lancia Delta Integrale Racecar shipped down early to Miami as a surprise Birthday gift.
A little bit of context, Randy purchased this racecar almost 3 months ago; It was in Europe. The Gentlemen spent almost a quarter million dollars building this car to be the ultimate hill climbing machine. However, after driving it once, it scared him so bad he wanted to never drive it again and sell it.
Being a child of the 80s, Randy has always loved the Group B & Group C rally racing from many years ago. He's wanted one of these cars for a very, very long time. Jimbo knew it would be a big moment to finally receive it as it spent a month in a shipping container on a boat, he wanted to make it as special as possible.
The day before he told EVERYONE he bought a Mercedes Benz S65 AMG, something he'd talked about many times, he didn't reveal the truth until the enclosed trailer door from Potomac towing was about to drop.

Used to watch the Lombard RAC rally in the 80's here in the UK. There was a special stage that ran through a local forest (Kielder) at night and that machine was always at the front. Either that or the Audi Coupe Quattro. The Lancia piloted by the legendary Juha Kankkonen from Finland. Was fantastic listening to the sound as it approached in pitch dark, on a loose stone single track surface and at speeds that defied physics. The red-hot glow of the brake discs was a great sight too. Special, special drivers. The Northern Europeans were magicians in those cars. Growing up and driving on snow/ice covered roads must have been their secret.

The fact that randy has million dollars cars and he gets excited over this build car shows he really loves cars.
This is absolutely one of my favorite cars of ALL time. Randy is quickly collecting literally almost every car I've ever wanted at this point. Next time you guys are back home in Maryland for a Cars and Coffee or any other event I'd love to be able to see some of these in person. That Integrale is a VERY special vehicle.

Group B ended in 1986. The S4 was Lancia's Group B car not this.
