- Anxiety seems to be brewing in the opposition People's Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of its National Executive Council, NEC meeting. The schisms are having to do with plans to select a new National Chairman, to replace suspended National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu and to restrict attendance at the meeting to constitutionally recognised members. Meanwhile, it is alleged that a former Rivers State helmsman, Nyesom Wike, is pulling all the stops to get Ambassador Umar Damagum to retain his office as National Chairman of the PDP

Wike held PDP together when Atiku, Dino, Saraki & co left for APC in 2023 to decimate PDP. They returned back towards 2023 to push Wike out and grabbed control of PDP. Wike fought back to their regret.

The issue is that Wike worked against his party, during the general election.

William Cohen, who is a republican in the United States served as Secretary. of Defense under a democratic President. What is wrong with Nigerians? Political party is an association which should not debar and citizen from serving his country when the opportunity arises. Tinubu has every right to not offer any opposition party any kind of appointment based on what Atiku took him through during the election, but the president fulfils his commitment to appoint qualified and competent individuals in his administration. The former president gave an award to Wike and called "Mr. Project" who will not go after such a person for an appointment that requires a lot of projects to be completed.? Like Babajide has pointed out only a blind person will not see what has changed in Abuja. Wike is serving the president and the nation and not APC or PDP in his capacity. Ayu and Atiku are the problem of PDP today and if the NEC does not dig into why the party is where it is today, they are not sincere to themselves.

Well William Cohen worked for the government as secretary of defence. Cohen didn’t work against his party as secretary of defense. Wike is still working against his party till tomorrow. Which is very bad. Is one thing to work against your party in presidential because you didn’t get your way. But still working against your party in both state and federal government that is where are I have a problem with him

Is it Atiku that still want to grab power and remain president after Buhari from thesame North or wike that said no, that power must come to South in respective of whom become president. But if Atiku had picked Wike as VP he wouldn’t have worked against for PDP. Wike is still working against PDP even after the presidential election. That is were I have problem with Wike.
