The ordinary Nigerian is also culpable in all this. Just imagine full grown men in their 40's/50's protesting the arrest of a politician that has stolen their destiny and that of their kids. Poverty has really turned to a weapon of oppression

This is just a creation of the oppression of the British. We are not one, and that is why problems are arising from every angle. If the former governor is currently receiving home nurse care, then he would have to be transported to nearer hospital for further assistance. I don't see any abnormal confrontation between the service security agencies present at the former governor's home. The only conflict arising from the court order is the penal code of refusing the EFCC from gaining entrance to conduct their court order. The state of Kogi is part of federal capital of Nigeria, thus have a jurisdiction access to conduct covert operations by the federal court of justice. The issue hereby will be met with court setting the charges for refusal of obeying the litigation order. The aforementioned funds belongs to the state, in the first place. So whomever, have proceeded with the fraud claim have to be announced in view of justifying the accused. All involved are prominent lawmakers, so the demands are very high in proportionate to accounting for the misappropriation of state funds. Already the Kogi state high court is in defence of the former governor. This case should stand as an example that no one is above the law in Nigeria. If otherwise, the Kogi state high court had doubts beyond reasonable cause, that honourable YAYA had broken the law, it wouldn't serve an impeachment against the EFCC, but according to the media, this hasn't occurred as precedent to the call for trial.

We are developing. The Country should update the laws from current happenings. If an individual prevents the law enforcement agency from arresting a suspect, with an order from the court, it should be deemed a crime and such person preventing the law enforcement agency should be arrested as a criminal. Nobody is above the state. Currently we have two laws; one for the rich and the other for the poor. Furthermore, this immunity should be abrogated because its giving the governors too much power. This Bello was the one who dug up roads during his problem with Akpoti in an election era, and restored the roads with tax payers money. This country is crazy, very crazy. When shall we be out of this darkness? Very shameful.+

ICPC and the EFCC institutions ought to collaborate to investigate the former governor Mr. Yahya Bello to harmonise their findings before going to Court. All this ugly incidence wouldn't be seen. When would the Nigeria institutions would work together to solve a common objective? EFCC and ICPC needs to compare their records on their target audience.

With all due respect sir! The group of officers that were found in the obstruction of justice in the course of arresting the Ex-governor Yahyah Bello shouldn't pass through any harsh legal punishment bcos; I am pretty much sure that, they're subjected to the order of their Boss who happened to be the sitting governor and I don't think
Anyone would like to disobey his/her boss instruction as implied.

  • @tobsmabs1921

All I see is another case of Government institutions working in Silos. The EFCC Chairman should simply have informed the IGP and the DG DSS before hand that his men were going to arrest the former Governor. The IGP and DG would have ordered their men protecting Yahaya Bello to stand down. The arrest would have been seamless and quick. Before Ododo arrived from Kogi, the matter would have been finished.
