Honesty is great and there’s very few things you can’t talk about but maybe if you’re making multiple people uncomfortable you should evaluate why and how to fix that rather than just brushing it off? Some heavier topics are just things you don’t really talk about on a lighthearted, fun first date where you’re supposed to be enjoying your time not being sad.

I actually find getting a first date pretty easy. Here are my steps.
1) Move to a medium or large city and swipe right on everyone.
2) For the few matches you get, message with a compliment of their photo or bio that is not about how attractive they are.
3) Then immediately message a place and time for a first date. If they can't make it, they'll at least be willing to help reschedule to a time they're more available. If you try sparking a conversation, most people see that as a turn-off. And even if you do spark a conversation, you need to end it with a date scheduled or else they'll also lose interest.
4) I haven't gotten this far yet sorry.
