As a German, hearing the American and English voice actors trying hard but failing even harder to speak German always leaves me wondering why they never hire German voice actors. We've got dozens of excellent voice actors here in Germany 😄

@@satan2668 not to be disrespectful, but it’s something German voice actors do all the time. There are literally websites with lists of hundreds of voice actors. It’d take Activision one call or one mail to get an excellent German voice actor who can also speak proper English.
Because Activision likes to cut corners and save money at the cost of quality.
2:20:04 My grandpa fought against the Japanese in the Solomon Islands and in Guam. He was a part of the Tongan defense force and was 1 of only 50 Tongans to serve along side the First Commando Fiji Guerilla's with the US. Sadly he said many of the U.S. Marines died because of snipers or machine guns in the coconut trees. Many of the US soldiers had never seen the ocean before until deployment so they weren't acquainted with the terrain and environment, not knowing that heavy vegetation doesn't grow on the sand where the Japanese would place their hollowed out trees. It was like shooting fish in a barrel at that point. When my grandpas squad dispatched, they immediately mowed down the treetops on the sand killing all the Japanese gunmen. They overtook the main base when Tongan Marine Second Lieutenant Heneli Taliai led his men and ultimately sacrificed himself to take out a Japanese bunker causing heavy enemy casualties which allowed time for allied troops to eventually take back the Solomon Islands. My grandpa was only 17 and he killed his first enemy in hand to hand combat that day. Something he didn't ever take pride in. It was July 12, 1943. A day he said he'd never forget. He and my grandma later uprooted from their native Tonga, leaving behind the Polynesian paradise in the South Pacific and moved my Dad and his siblings here to the US in 1970 where we've been in Utah ever since.. He's passed on now and I'm proud of him. My whole family is. I hope we've made him proud as well. Rest In Power Grandpa.🙏🏾🇺🇸🇹🇴 Happy Veterans Day.

@@danko5866 There is lol, the Vanguard atmosphere is overwhelming if they made the game historically accurate. And tried not to push their woke agenda.
Watching these games made me realize that probably thousands of soldiers actually died from friendly fire. I mean, this guy playing only had a couple of comrades, and he must have shot each of them at least 10 times. Imagine having a full squadron by his side.

When adrenaline pump up during a firefight, you will forgot most of what you have learned and will try to find a way to survive, trying to eliminate or finding the threat, yelling pound of swearing words and etc etc

I love how they tied it into zombies and black ops at the end. Makes it feel like this Regen series is all connected rather than just random games jumping between different eras.

The opening mission for this campaign was promising. Beautiful set pieces, good stealth, epic fight scenes… and then the game kept going
i love ur walkthrus because its nothing but game audio and ur gameplay is super easy to watch. idk if this makes sense but i like the little roleplay aspect like ur actually the soldier in the game. u take things slow and enjoy it
I wished they would go for the brutality of war like WAW did. They just played it safe here. I was kinda hoping that the whole campaign would just be a gallery of war crimes that would make you question in killing an enemy in a video game. But, yeah generic campaign is all we got.

What this game taught me: The Waffen SS troops who defended guadalcanal with their lives should always be remembered. If they hadn't stopped the brits from landing troops on the island, General George Washington wouldn't have been able to ferry his troops across the Tigris and Euphrates during the persian wars.
If I was a game dev I would make this a video game just for the hell of it.

Man you really played it well seems like i was watching a movie thanks for the upload this game got nice soundtracks completed watching the whole gameplay In a single day by taking breaks in between.. really enjoyed also the video quality was good in cromecast 2nd gen was watching in 720p 32 inch tv. Every mission lets you start with authentic weapons and authentic feel and story telling. Until you reach the middle and near ending of each mission gets ridiculous.
I mean it’s not trying to be authentic. It’s trying to tell an interesting, action-packed story about the Vanguard team.

Yeah... they included the Becker revolving shotgun... there were only about 100 of them made in the early 1920s... and the game calls it the Einhorn shotgun for some reason. But nothing infuriates me more than the stupid ass drum mags available on pretty much every gun that takes magazines, the extended mags on bolt action guns, and the stupid fucking reflex sight on WWII guns...

Lewis Howard seems to be Corporal Marcus Howard's brother, Marcus being the one we fight alongside in WW2. Their character models are similar, voice actor is the same and "Got a brother fighting the Nazis in Europe" only proves as such

Uhh COD games have Health Regen since 2005 in COD 2 you took way more damage and and it took just 10 seconds to get full HP.Atleast it ain't Battlefield 1 or 5 where it's just one 16 year Norwegian girl doing everything by her own.

Honestly 5 minutes in this and it looks some like a action fiction fantasy hero movie. I don't know if this campaign would get close to attach me emotionally same as waw did.

My guy is blind and shoots his teammates. Takes him 5 seconds to readjust from hitting a barrier. Can't aim either and wastes ammo. Horrible situational awareness. Although the time put in is respectable.

Ah, yes, T34-85 in Stalingrad. I see that the Soviet Army had used their time machine to get those there to defend the city years before they were sketched, when they were already struggling to equip their elite tank units with the first models of the T34-76. The German Army must have been using the same time machine to get their infantry equipped with STG44 and shotguns, and their Japanese allies some STG44s and MG42s in 1943, and the American Army must've used theirs to get some Sherman 76s in the Pacific, not that they needed them. I miss the old Call of Duties, in which they had actual historians and people that were paid to at least tell them what equipment they can put in what map, and what they can't do.
Like do whatever you want in the multiplayer, but at least try to have SOME consistency with the campaign.

Mg42s make some sense as they were, well, 1942. They did fuck up the midway mission tho since irl the Japanese had 4 carriers instead of 2.
@@ExHyperion you really think it is the number of Japanese carriers ruin the midway mission? That SBD can warp out bomb from another dimension and dogfight legit Zero fighters.
@@user-gs5np7tv3c that’s the thing, SBD bombers DID dogfight zeros during the battle of midway, after they dropped their bombs, they proved to be more maneuverable than the zeros expected, and not only did they not lose a single plane, they damaged two of them heavily enough that they had to be sent back to their carriers.
Beyond that, this little dogfight distracted the zeros , who were SUPPOSED to be escorting the Hiryu’s counter strike against task force 17 after they lost 3 carriers from the US attack on the kido butai. Directly resulting in the strike not actually sinking the Yorktown as expected. Resulting in their second strike ALSO being sent at the Yorktown rather than the 2 untouched remaining carriers.
The SBD bombers dogfight against Zeros indirectly saved the US an entire carrier

That’s because Activision doesn’t actually care about the history of world war 2 and that they always ignore the fans wants in the games that they make. If they actually hired an actual game developer that was once was a war historian then the game’s campaign would be more 100% accurate.

The devs aren’t even trying at this point ,same takedown animation every time ,guns that didn’t exist in that time period or in that warzone ie the stg44 in the pacific in 1942
Don't forget the very obvious ACOG on one or two of the guns, and reflector sights on a gun that barely even existed for the SS

This campaign doesn't hit hard as older cod games set in ww2. Everything was well except writing, historical accuracy with weapons especially. They were too focused on writing about Arthur's race for some reason, events and pacing were meh. The campaign could've been longer especially Japan and Africa. The last mission was clean ngl, transitions were nice. It has potential but they need to tune up the writing and better research on history, even WAW and older games were accurate.

Anyone else find it strange that in the Pacific the Japanese have weapons like a Stg 44 or an MG 42? I know they had some pre WW2 German weapons but that just seems very out of place
The stg 44 was made 1944 and the mg42 in 1942, so it's kinda near impossible for them to have these kinds of weapons then, and it's not just u who finds this extremely strange and immersion breaking

The gameplay looks sick…. I just wish they would actually do a game based on all true events. WW2 was so crazy and over the top that you could make a game using only true stories and people would still think you made it up. Other than that and the fact that some weapons don’t work with the year and location… it looks cool.

Thanks for playing the game and putting up the full walkthrough MK! I still love WAW which had a good historical setting of the WW2 story, the unsettling feeling of being ambushed by the Japanese and the extreme gore we witness during the German campaign where machine guns and tanks can rip people into pieces, that is one of the best depictions of a WW2 game
Nah the other games depicted it so much better. This felt like a movie and as a person who loved ww2, this let me down tbh.

I remember running through multiplayer with the double barrel blowing legs off. The animations for when that happened was brutal so much gore.
@@OJA-jf7bp I may sound cold hearted, but as a doom and mortal kombat fan, I've seen some gore. That said I really feel terrible for those who actually had to go through such brutality.
both games are military-themed action arcade shooters, though, so even the likes of WaW isn't actually "gritty and realistic." to me, it was just as shallow as this game, just uglier looking and with more gratuitous gore. there's not really much of a difference, its just you were probably a kid or young teen when you played WaW and it felt more real to you because it was the first time you had ever seen something like that.
