If by actual gameplay, you mean only gunfights then lemme tell you, this is what happens in real terrains. It's not an open desert like Afganistan. Jungles like these are perfect for ambush. It's all about changing your position and sneaking on the enemy outta nowhere.
Lol I was just gonna say that... Cinematics 1000% good, but when the game started... ITs like meh... Considering GPU prices are sky high these days, I'm expecting noone to buy them at those prices...
I was just thinking the same thing. Whilst the gameplay now vs. ever before is of course impressive and brilliant... I mean, I haven't gamed properly since PS2. I was avid back then and grew up on Nintendos, SNES, PS1, Dreamcast + PS2 and I go over my friend's house and see the ps4 and am blown away, because I've been out of it for a long time... And... I'm gonna get a PS5 very soon and jump back in, but, as impressed as I am on the one hand with the developments / on the other hand... I actually would have expected we'd be further along by now vs. 20 odd years ago. Clearly the rate of improvement is slowing down; all the talk of exponential technological improvement... am sure, for some things, but it's clearly not the case with graphics in many aspects... the jump from console to console now is getting smaller, and it feels like ceilings are being hit.
@@grantpilcher8402 I whish they had a choose a theater campaign, where you choose which theater of war you want to play. Also why the hell in all these triple A WW2 games do we not have a friggin Operation husky levels.
Idk this game cares too much on the backlash it might get. The game feels more action based/mindless. It doesn’t have the same cruelty older games have and this is why it seems emotionless. I really enjoyed how Cold War really focused on the cruelty of war and betrayal and all these beautiful emotions. The ending was the best part with the elevator level being the second. I just loved the game. Modern warfare campaign was just as good. I think the best mission was the house mission. It felt special, tactical. It had emotion, seasoning. Whatever you wanna call it. I agree action is what call of duty is about, but we need nostalgia, sadness, sorriness, melancholy, confusion, betrayal, depression, anger, fear, etc all these strong emotions that seem to have faded in this new game. It’s like there’s a film for “younger audience” or something.
@@jasgill7121 I'm a huge call of duty fan and buy it every year.. but not this year. I don't even have the nitpicks, I just played the beta and it didn't seem worth getting, and then after the free to play weekend it reassured me that I made the right choice. It's just awful

He could've just gotten a different actor to have this dialog then everything would've been one hell of a bad C.O.D Here's the original dialog: "Anata wa hinongo o hanaseumasu ka?"
The Japanese and Germans shared technology but damn the Japanese having stgs please at the battle of Bougainville!? A huge factor why they lost was lack of fire power. Cod 5 was a lot more sensitive to details..
@@rodri337 like dude lvl with me, the Japanese failed to develop self sealing fuel tanks, and “mass” production of sub machine guns.. America won just because we were willing to adapt
@@evandotterer4365 Wars run on oil. Japan is a small island nation that is completely dependent on imports. Japan lost their momentum into China the moment the US stopped selling them oil. They tried to push into Siberia to take some oil fields, but the Soviets pushed them back. They then set there sights on the Philippines, but knew the US would stop them, so they decided to strike first, hopefully buying themselves time from American intervention by crippling the American Navy. Japan severely underestimated American industry. Germany had the same issue with oil. US soil surrounded by the Pacific and Atlantic Ocean was impervious from oil starved plebs, while they had plenty of oil to fuel their long range B-29's.
Japanese with STGs and Mg42s? How about a colored unit doing combat arms in the Pacific? Colored troops only saw significant combat late in the European Theater. Medal of Honor Spearhead had a mission about it. In the Pacific they were relegated to logistics. Segregation was wrong but pretending it never happened is revisionism.
Actually, we kinda did, with 2010's Black Ops. Granted, the entire game didn't take place in Vietnam, but a sizeable number of missions were set there.
game play footage nowadays is like 20% stealth, 30% looking around, 40% cinematics and 10% actual playing.
you kiddin me? Its the opposite nowdays. 90 reaptitive mission 10% cutscenes. YOu stupid
thats just COD

can't wait for games to really look like the cinematics

You won’t be able to get games looking like cinematic. If so, it will be lately.
By the time we have that gameplay quality we might lose ingenuity in gamesbut you know it's just... fine

Dayum that japanese soilder got a sick looking shotgun of European origins and only like 6 to 8 were ever made made to the Pacific. Incredible
16:52 do you ever just randomly find a STG-44 in the pacific
@@CrayCow Lol, i was thinking the same.
The Zero should have stalled when pulling a dive like that lmao
All of those plane wont make it when they pull out around 10 meters above sea level.
Yeah that is good tactic because they zero don't have airbrake
The Japanese soldiers in waw were terrifying. These guys, not so much
you can feel the intense tension when they come out of the grass with bayonets in waw but here they just feel like arcade enemies
Dude I get scared when like Hes killing the japanese with knife lol its like ur in the game HAHHAHAHA its so terrifying
Hmmm…maybe because this game actually humanises the enemies instead of being just AIs mindlessly screaming and charging?

STG44? In the PACIFIC?! CMON!
Exactly!!! The same thing I was thinking that.
There's mg42 in the pillbox at 21:00 too...
Not just that in 1943 one year to early
The (most) Historically accurate call of duty to date according to the devs
Also revolver shotguns, reflex sights, and look at those Shermans, they are like Frankenstein's monster
Stunning graphics man.. and also a nice gameplay .
It's alright, felt like there couldve been more in the pacific campaign.
The whole campaign should have been about 30 missions long to flesh out the characters
The campaign should have been longer and less cutscenes more action and more of a pacific campaign

18:24 never knew Mbepe fought for meyrica..
