    Finally! A video of an aba-T that actually rips. Most vids are shit boxes on budget builds and low boost that fall on their face between shifts

      I mean this one wasnt anything special when we did this vid this is one of our cars we were testing with before we started getting serious, i hate the way the car looks in this video!

    I am in love with this video. Sounds so nice. What clutch would you recomend? Stock internals plus turbo. Mines slipping.

      All depends on the build. When we took this video we were just over 200hp stock motor. TT dual strap pressure plate and a factory clutch disk with a light weight flywheel. All depends on your setup but a good pressure plate helps alot

    Thing was a ripper for stock motor! What turbo? Which 020 were you running. Gearing is about perfect

      ebay t04e 50 trim. mk3 transmission, I don't remember the code. It also had 272 cam and TT HD springs

    what wiring harness did you use? OBD1? I just noticed the gauge cluster that looks like it came out of the same Jetta as my Mk3. are you using a lugtronic standalone?

    • @team8v
      @team8v  Před rokem +1

      obd2 harness. we made a plug and play harness for a microsquirt ecu.

      272 cam stock internals small turbo with head spacer . Soon it will be on the track with a new motor , 288 cam ,big valve head fully ported, forged rods and pistons with a way bigger turbo.

      @@team8v what size turbo? I was thinking of running a .48 a/r turbo at 22psi on my stock aba with supporting turbo mods like headspacer, 276 cam and upgraded springs, 440’s, and the stage 2 chip off of bbm until I can afford mega squirt

      @@j-bling8664 mk3 020 trans arent too happy with much over 18 neither are the pistons. If you gap the rings it helps but mk3s are so heavy its alot more wear on the motor and trans. My buddy is running an o2j on his mk3 with 17 psi and rings gapped as his daily. Im just not a fan of the chip tunes i always had issues but my buddy loved his chip tune.

      @@team8v yeah I was planning on swapping to hydraulic was thinking of mk4 1.8t trans and flywheel with Vr6 clutch. Do you think with stock motor and pistons that the little .48a/r 50mm turbo I have will be fine with 22 psi on chip tune? Or should I just save and go the extra mile and buy megasquirt? Well I was thinking about using it’s little brother micro squirt since it’s only $800 for a plug and play instead of the $1300 plug and play for mega lol

      This setup actually ran solid for 2 years. It was pulled so we could go 83.5mm bore with a big valve head. Been issues ever since
