Do you ride a hardtail or full suspension mountain bike? Let us know!đ
Global Mountain Bike Network i ride a hardtail
I have hardtail but soon I m getting a fully.
Full rigid...
Flat pedal...
Steel frame...
And 27.5+ tires...
I don't think to go back. đ€đ”đœââïž
Thanks for the video!
27.5 orange crush đ€
Riding a Why S7 with Cushcore in the back
Can we get a like for us hard tail users?
Like the video, not the beggar.
Aditya Wardhana lol
Hell yeah!
For the purists.
@@bobbymould7685 I ride rigid and I love it...
Love the humble hardtail content, please do more!!
Hardtail riding is underrated. Riding the smallest bike/travel you can get away with is more enjoyable than over killing it in my opinion!
On my weekly group rides, all ride either full sus trail bikes or XC race bikes, but there's one guy who's making us all look like noobs with his old trusty hardtail.
@@panzerveps Hows that making you look like noobs?
Ah me too!
N©
That is exactly why I have the bikes that I do. I found for me that around 130mm is perfect for travel.
I'm 53 and can't realistically get away with saying 'rad' or 'gnarly' without sounding like a total bell end. I shall therefore be saying 'super' and 'marvellous' instead.
đđđI back u can't stand old guys tryna act young
dear gmbn, u know u gotta pay blake more than average pay grade because he's just so good at keeping things entertaining
"When you're clipped in - which I recommend..." --- wait, is this Blake who said that? What world are we in???? LOL
Love the vids, guys. Cheers from Texas.
đ€Łđ€đ
Neil paid him to say that
I like flats as well, but as a hardtail rider I really do see the point of being clipped in on gnarly/rocky trails !
@@foxymusic8386
Sharpen up those bear traps. đđđ
I feel like it depends on your downhill/enduro ability. Clips seem useful only if you can commit to the line and pop the bike without hesitation.
I love my hardtail, I'm not a good rider but I have sooooo much fun.
Anyway, I'm out on the trails for my entertainment and fitness, not there to impress anyone âŻïž
Love your videos Blake, keep making them. âźïž
I like Blake because he is the one of the rare youtubers that give HT bikes airtime...gj hope there will be more content like this, some HT reviews would be great.
The first day in a bikepark with my lovely hardtail felt like hellđđ but 2nd day was so much fun. I'll never stop riding hardtailsđđ
Hardtails are so much funner
Itâs Hammy yess dude!
I demoed a $3,000 full suspension MTB last month. I like my hardtail better.
@@matthewhamilton7565 they both are good in unique way, hardtail is more light and better handling than full suspension, full suspension on the other hand is much better on hard terrain and the grip is much better on fast/sharp turns
I always pick the âsuper deathâ lines
Me too! I dont know why u shouldnt. Its way more fun to challenge yourself with speed and scetch.
Onni Valto đŻ% bro
On a hardtail?
Mohamed Salah Bchir ya why wouldnât I đ
@@Cob_luke23 because it damages the bike
Only got one mountain bike. My hardtail. And my god, I love my hardtail!! đ
Sold my full sus then brought a nukeproof scout and i love it!
Bruh. Join the club đđđđđdid the exact same thing. Like more simplicity and durablility
!
How after you getting on with the Scout now you've had it a while? Just about to go for one. Can't decide between 275 or 290. Edging towards 275. Looks more fun.
I like to ride my hardtail aggressively, take harsh lines, and ride flats! I'm out for fun....to each their own đ€·ââïžđ
Good time not a long time
Iâm not sure why I watch these videos when I donât even own a mountain bike but I just love these guys I especially like the way Blake speaks he has a very distinctive accent and just seems like a totally cool guyđđŒđ€đŒđđœ
Well buddy, you're a rider now, aren't you?
Thanks for the amazing content! It was useful, and also fun to watch.
Liking the hardtail content. For the next few years it's what I'll be riding.
Being a hardtail rider is a badge of honor in my book! I love my hardtail. You can do way more with one than what people tell you. Train your brain on a hardtail and life will be all good.
"Train your brain on a hardtail." This is the advice I needed!
Good to see more Hardtail videos! Keep it up GMBN!
I am assembling my new NS eccentric 29er hardtail. Can't wait to ride it!!! I love this kind of videos about hardtails.
Man Blake is a BEAST of a rider
Thanks for this video đđœ. Everyone kept telling me to get a full suspension but all I could afford was a hard tail for now. I love my hardtail đ
i heard a while ago that we can finally activate suspensions you can adjust stiffness and damping on in real time ,while riding, plus they can be connected to your brain via a complex information streaming path called periferical nervous system for optimum ride analysis. they also break all the thermodinamical phisic's rules being able to input work and energy in the sistem while being passive devices to pump on bumps and jumps i think they are called legs or something similar
mustafa chitemmurt lmao
Thanks for doing so much content on hardtails. I ride a steel hardtail 29er with 150 mm up front. My hardtail is my one and only bike. It's my daily commuter (just put a rack, panniers, mudhuggers, and a pair of surly extraterrestrials), road rider (lose the racks and mudhuggers but keep the extraterrestrials), and mountain bike (knobbies!).
Just broke my collarbone riding this past Monday. Ended up going down a really steep hill with no other line choice but forward down a long manmade log staircase. It was wet out and the bike bounced so much. Perhaps I haven't really gotten my fork set up properly cause it was crazy bumpy (I'm also on flats). Long story short, I'm really glad I had a helmet with MIPS and was able to walk out of there with my bike. Collarbone is broken in two places so I won't be riding for a little while...
Least I'll have plenty of GMBN content to watch! Keep it up!
Just learnt my lesson this weekend with my RT. Took a pretty rough line in a trail that became super steep and I ended up falling out and bending my front wheel... Lesson learnt, will look for the smooth paths from now on. Thanks guys! Another great video đ€đŒđ€đŒđ€đŒ
Thanks, very useful! Keep HT content coming!
Blake you genuinely impress me. Your charisma is what really brought me into mountain biking and you (and all the others of gmbn of course ;)) improved my life so much during the last year (wich was quite rough for me to be honest) i'll be naming my son after you Blake. After the guy with the most positive influence anyone ever had on me and the nicest person on youtube.
thank you
Blake's spot on here! I ride a scout and it really is about dancing around the bike and keeping on your toes. You can't smash through stuff like a full sus and it teaches you a thing or two about smart line choice because otherwise, you learn the hard way. Hopefully I'll eventually save up enough to take those hard earned skills to a full sus! :)
My dude, I love outgoing energetic persona. Keep the videos coming! Great work
Thanks for sharing some tips Blake. God bless your channel and more power! đ
Alvin Enobio your welcome ma dude
I ride a Giant Talon 1 hardtail, clipped in. Love it!
First Bike First HardTail, more confidence with what I had, thanks Blake for your HT energy
Iâm your biggest fan I love your workđ
Hardtails all day all the way. I have two of them and want a third.
Have both, man you're gonna make a mistake) for me casual riding - ht, bikepark/hardcore - only my reign)
You can enjoy MTB riding off the bat with even the most basic of hard tail. I added 780 bars and wider pedals to mine, and it does give you the valuable insight to what mods you can make to have loads more fun out on the trails. Great video, Blake!đ
Awesome video Blake....love ya' stuff dudeđđ
I never get bored watching this video over and over again, nice video đđđđ
Blake just showing us how easy and cool youâre riding a hard tail... Dang! Keep up with those great videos!
Great tips Blake! Absolutely love my Scout!
Luker Laforest thanks dude.
Right now iam In a bike shop buying a gt avalanche my first mtb â€
RAINVEX. Enjoy it dude good luck!
I'm getting my first full suspension today.
Enjoy it!!
@@marcmoore4115 thankyou brother â€â€â€
Enjoy your GT. Ride it hard... one day We'll meet on trial maybe. I am waiting for my NP Scout Comp. Cheers
Thank you for making hardtail videos. I'm a hardtail guy since they are within my budget. I was doing XC most of my time but I'm switching more into trails. Next week I'm getting my Kona Honzo ST which is a little more aggressive from what I currently have. Cant wait!
Love my Hardtail!
Yes. My 1st love is a HT. Thanks for this video. Really insightful. Gonna go for clip pedals soon.
Well explained, thanks.
Greetings from the Galilee
I just got into mountain biking, I bought myself a hardtail and I love it !
What bike?
Long Live GMBN! I miss my hard tail but also love my Stumpy.
Everything was a Hard Tail & Hard Front when I was growing up ... situation normal here.
Just got a new one and I am stoked!!!!
Love my Cotic BFe hardtail!!
This is why I love my hardtail.. it's playful and fun
ThAnk you Master! đ€đŒ
Vitaliy D. Your welcome đ
I'd love to get my hands on a Scout. It's the perfect hardtail for my kind of riding.
Loving everything about HARTAIL
Love both my hard tails. Great way to get into mountain biking
Fantastic advice Blake, went to Cannock chase on a hard tail ebike first time On proper trails, wow ! Wet, muddy, and slippy ....... just loved it, took your advice and felt very confident as the morning went on ....... riding relaxed really helped ! Keep up the good work đ€đŸ
I love my hardtail(Trek Rosco8 2019) .I got it this year it is my first real mtb. Now i am getting a full sus mtb but i will keep the hardtail because it is so much fun.
HorvĂ th SzovĂĄti AndrĂĄs dude I have the Trek Roscoe 7 2020 and it is a BLAST! #hardtailsendage
Hardtail for life!!!!!! Nothing will change my mind..
Great video Blake and #GMBN đ đ€
I've recently in the last few months got a Hardtail.
Nukeproof Scout 290 Race and it's a beast what a weapon đ«
In 2 weeks time riding from Winchester to QECP along the South Downs Way and then riding the Blue Trail there and then back to Winchester it's gonna be a blast đ đ€ đ
I love riding my hard tail around Namibia.i think it takes a bit more skill and concentration but clipped in is commitment and hardtail rear end is like dancing! Thanks Blake! Cheers
Kevin on a Giant XTC advanced carbon
New to the channel. Love this guy!!! He's hilarious.
Keep up the good vids
Hardtails all the way for me, iâm riding a 2020 Cannondale Cujo 27.5 and i love this bike. May i say, â nice bike you have there đ â. đ€đ€đ€
I love my HT. I shred on it and will always keep it in my life
Iâm riding a 2018 TREK Powerfly 5 hard tail which is my first mountain e-bike and Iâm having a blast on it. I like clipless riding but for now switched back to flat pedals. I put Bontrager X2 Team issue 29 x 3.0 tires on this rig and run @ 20 lbs pressure in the tires. So far it suits my ability riding a variety of terrain and at 57 years young am happy with the setup. I also added a dropper post.
respect for blake doing megavalanche using hardtail, it makes me love my hardtail more.
Mr. bake thank for your tips for a hard tail , it helps me a lot.
Your the man .Thanks for tips.Great channel
Appreciate that Craig!
Did I see some quick links taped to your brake hoses? Great idea!
I love my Trek Stache hardtail! Great video!
Blake your the coolest guy ever!your videos are awesome.
i just got a brand new hardtail and itâs a much better bike than i have ever had before and i love it
Purchased the Nukeproof Scout Comp 2 weeks ago...loving it.
Should have called this video "The Zen of hardtail trail riding" Great vid, thanks!
Just got a roscoe 7 and man first ride ever was nasty rocks and super ruff terrain I just blasted threw that stuff hoppin all over the trail choosing lines I'm hooked 4 life now!!!
Great video, thank you so much :) .
I absolutely love Hardtails and hope to be able to build one from the frame up in the near future. As of now, I have to live vicariously through Blake and his hardtail, I am currently mountain bike deficient. (Gave my old bike away because it was do for retirement from off road use)
If you want a custom cro-mo hardtail frame that won't brake your bank you can try the Peru based Marino Bikes. They make some awesome frames for very low prices
@@Tzestos Thanks for the tip, I will check them out
No doubt, my favorite bike in the show
Yep, hard tails are great. So much fun and a bit more winter proof. Way more than beginners/budget bikes, just top fun.
Blake Samson Makes Hardtail Mountain Bikes Especially Nukeproof Hardtail Mountain Bike Dope and Worth so much to Shred all day long
As someone who only has a hardtail, I can't agree more with Blake's points! Clip pedals and wider bars massively improved my ability to control the bike and be confident, thus faster. You can ride anything on a hardtail, maybe just a bit slower and more carefully to keep the rear wheel round! Keep representing the classic hardtail GMBN!
LOVE THE VIDEOS
Be prepared to dance on a hardtail. Love this guy!
Hardtail lover here.. pls. keep making tutorials for us HT rider.. blake is a good presenter. enjoyed watching your videos bro..
Sold up my enduro and only have a hard tail. It's amazing what you can do on them, I also returned to clipped in riding on a HT.
I love my hardtail fatbike. The big tires with the right pressure = more forgiveness. đ
Flats all day around, for everything.
(My knees can't stand clipless)
Pienimusta lol ikr
Please more hardtail videos. I'd like to see videos on basic techniques, jumps, drops, etc.
Built up a Nukeproof scout 290 and took it out for the first time today using these tips. My god hardtails have come a long way in the last 10 to 20 years
Just got my first mtb today, an hardtail. Absolutely love it, but you do indeed need to respect that rear weel. Tried to jump onto a pretty high sidewalk, and my back weel just went straight into the sidewalk, which led to a puncture. For the rest I absolutely love it, and I hope I got some great times ahead with this bike
Finally, I find advice on hardtails. Every other vid I see, some geezer's on a full suspension making it look easy :-)
All this just gave me more confidence to ride my Trek marlin 7 2019
Clipps ha? Okay.
same bike as me. I'm already old and slow so I just need to fight the urge to do what those younger guys do on their full susses.
J C look at shimano sm-sh56, it saved me a few times
I have a Marlin 7 too
Great bike!
I have the 2020 marlin 6
Thanks for this !
I'm still blasting my 2002 DMR Sidekick!
mattl1762 great rig dude. I had one
Niiiice, I've still got a 2005 DMR Switchback as my XC rig đ€
I ride a hardtail and love it! Havenât clipped in yet but pedals and shoes are on the upgrade wish list
This dude is pretty funny.

Hardtail life!! đ€đ»
love my HT.
Today I broke the back axle of my hardtail, good thing I wasn't far from home when it was broken. good to see hardtails videos :)
Been MTN biking for 30 years, 20 of those on HT, last 10 got into full sus, but say keep a HT in quiver for fun factor for sure. Just love the simplicity of HTs.
Doddy's magic at work. Blake likes clips and talks about going into the bushes.
About making the hartail more comfortable: Well borrowing Neils fork for a start
