Lithuanian here. Yes we cut them up, eat with bread, sometimes with cheese. Makes for a nice snack maybe when guests are over or while watching a game

So, about "salo":
1st: mold shouldn't be there,
2nd: u should eat it with whole wheat bread or *BLACK* bread.
Yea, Iam not from Russia, but in Czech republic they are seling something similar and the mold is NOT there :D Also the Anomaly's salo-mold has some random "pattern" in comparison for example with cheese niva, where the mold has some constant amount in every place of it :D That means Anomaly's salo have been in the store for a little longer that it should be xd. I hope he wont get cancer from that amount of mold he ate....

Secondly, that was not mold. It most likely was parsley or some other green thing like that.

Seasoned dried squid, it's pretty good. I never thought it was an acquired taste type of thing. If you like seasoned beef jerky it's not that different imo, just less stringy and more chewy. There's dried fish strings and strips as well, but ofc that's mostly just fish anuses and starch mixed with MSG, so take what you may out of that.
