What great people, all of them.
I remember when I was in basic during the Army, there was a Protestant church service on Sunday where they served candy and soda afterwards (once word got around they did this, everyone "converted" to Protestant lol). Now during basic you can't have _anything_ sugary like soda or candy bars or any kind of artificially sweet stuff. Just water for 4 weeks then water _and_ orange juice the last 4 weeks. So it had been nearly a month since I had sugar at all and after I snacked at church the first time I was SUPER sick after. My body completely rejected the sugar overload, which honestly wasn't a huge amount. A couple small snacks and a cup of soda. I can only imagine how these people will feel after eating all of those snacks when they've barely, if ever, experienced the sugar levels found in American snacks.
Something I noticed about kids is that they always seem to start running when they eat something they don’t like, as if they can run from the bad taste. Like the first kid with the sour candy. I used to do that too 🤣

Well colonialism changed the rules. People were functioning in societies in peace, equality, and prosperity before Columbus. Not every community and tribe, but many were. Imagine that.
Yeah, that’s how communities/tribes work… it’s sort of a form of political spectrum, but I’m not that educated on socialism/communism. Either way, they all work together for a common goal. Tribes will still fight obviously, but colonialism and all that really changed things. Conquest became a thing. Industry and advancement. While these people stuck to their roots, and have no reason to change. They’re not on this earth for profit, nor to force someone else under their thumb. (A lot of them aren’t anyways). I’m glad you realize this!

The media poorly represents life and “poverty” in African countries. These people don’t see themselves as poor or charity cases, they enjoy and thrive in simple lifestyles, they share amongst their community, they eat only natural & healthy food and truly when it comes down to it they’re living much better lives than some of the richest people in the world. Imagine how advanced their society would be if the Europeans hadn’t exploited all their natural resources & riches. This was beautiful to watch, puts things into perspective.
That's not a very accurate perspective. Few small tribal societies ever amassed any riches. Wealth generally only amasses in large civilizations. Also you're ignoring their short life expectancies and natural struggle to survive against parasites and disease. There's a reason most people never go back to tribal life after they move into civilization.

Bringing up amatonormativity with Valentine's day sounds deeply commercial.
The kids are so adorable! God bless their soul, and the adults are so kind and noble.
I really believe that the use of phones and social media is somewhat responsible for how toxic people are nowadays.
@@blinder5250 thats crazy
@@kaden_eaugh what do you think?
@@blinder5250 Somewhat, but a lot of it is because of toxic parents, abuse, or just their general surroundings as a child. I mean, I used the internet as a young child and I turned out fine, and a lot of other kids as well.
@@nhaul8316 That's true and I can't disagree. However, would you agree that the internet and social media has had more of an impact?
Love your videos❤ this one is really fun 😁
Such nice humble people.
This video brings back memories of when I spent over a year in Iraq as a military advisor. I worked with the Iraqis everyday and we would talk often about food and treats. I started sharing my care packages and while most Iraqis had appetite just about anything sweet, there was a few things I shared with them that had me laughing. They first thing I gave them that had all of them laughing at each other was candy called "Atomic Fireballs". One of the older senior Iraqis tried to eat this little jaw breaker but end up spitting it out and ask why make candy like this. Some of the other younger junior Iraqis would insist on having more just to make him seem week and make fun of him. The other candy I shared with them was the extreme sour candy called Warheads. I told them this is sour and you must suck on them to taste the different flavors. I showed them and since these candies dont phase me they felt confident that they can handle this candy. I had eight Iraqis do a contest to see who would be the first to spit it out after the start at the same time. What I saw was priceless and so damn funny, because their Commander showed up and told them not to spit it out. The facial expressions from some of them was hilarious. I know one of them cheated by swallowing it whole, but their commander made it funnier telling he is going have one himself and one of the older Iraqis warned him. So the commander took two at once and walked away. He later told me he knew about those and had Warhead candies before and if I could get a couple bags of those for him so he could share with his staff.
I feel for you. Working with the ING in 04 was the most nerve wracking infuriating process ever. One of them even shot at us in the middle of the night because he thought we were thieves....
Candy story with the Warheads is hilarious
I didn’t read this because it was to long but I assume it was a good comment
I love long comments like this. The Warheads story was very funny! 😄
@@dr.pepper3658 I didn't read your comment☺
If they haven’t had (American) candy before, I’m impressed they can recognize which fruits the candy is supposed to taste like! We take it for granted because we’re conditioned to what artificial flavors are supposed to resemble. I also like how much they share
I’m not American and I tried American sweets for the first time and they tasted well weird it tasted like a very fake strawberry
its going to end up either killing them or making them sick. their bodies are NOT conditioned to be taking in these TOXIC dyes... yes, i said toxic. while normal people like you and me cant get sick to it, since we have been living with it for so long, it is not ok for him to be feeding them this. its so bad.
Basicaly they remind us we can easily fullfill.our sugar needs with fruits. And that chemical candy are not needed in grocery stores
They not even enjoying the candy which also show we are only conditioned to the tasted
@@Mini-wd7qz american candy and food is always so fake tasting
i think because fake sugars and stuff because its cheaper
UK and european and pretty much everywhere else’s sweets and other food is where its at

This is basically my life when I lived in various countries. They were always experimenting foods on me and were shocked when I didn't like them. Endless entertainment 😂
😍😍😍😍💜👍👍👍👍 $000000000$0$
Trying other cuisine is my main goal whenever i go on a trip
Great approach. I also interact with a lot of different nationalities. So far they were surprised by horse radish and stuffed bell pepper. Latest craze was poppy based cakes. They went crazy for poppy. Who'd know?! But it makes great stories and experiences.
All i can wonder is if they will be chasing those Intense flavors the rest of their lives haha! Awesome video.
I love this video and props to the guy who was translating for him
I love that they’re eating raw meat, blood, bile, then cautiously bite the Twix! 😂
😆
They have it right, we have it alllll wrong!
@@karlabanks4908 - I agree. But processed food will kill you more slowly and in large quantities. Whereas you eat the wrong raw meat out of a few thousand animals and it can be quite a hellish experience.
He just destroyed a life long keto diet in an instant 😂
And his witty sense of humor made it good fun to watch 😅
The man casually pulling out the giant sword to open the candy wrappers 😂
I love the innocent curiosity of all the tribal members. Take note that the men were more easily persuaded then the women 😅
i think this is what the people think back in 1500s, easily persuaded.
Literally😅
The guy with the sword is fine
@@natalie8105 Yeap, likely their mindset maybe.. sword/knife is a tools thats everyone must have, or maybe they dont have time to do profiling regarding that.

They're all so cute, the way they're so open to try new things and share with each other. We need a bit more of that over here in the west :)
Even here the fastest way to bring people together and make them smile is with free food, especially sweets!🍭
Their tribes are so interesting and seem so nice and welcoming. This is so wholesome
I love how they share everything... no selfishness at all.

survival is survival
They just want to see their reaction when they try the candy
