Awesome as always... you're one of best! Your model is great, too. You can also create some separation between subjects using poor communication skills and differing values spread out over years of marriage. (More expensive than strobes, though.)
I honestly think I love Jay.
I've watched most all of The Slanted Lens videos over the years and this was one of the most informative. So much so I had to comment.
Doug Howell thank you, Doug. I appreciate the kind words. Thanks for watching.
Love your model and how comfortable she is! Thanks for the great vid!
Rick Johnson Loree is great to work with. Thanks so much.
Good lord! You approach for the subject is awesome! Love it so much!
Thank you!
It's always great how you explain everything so clearly !!!!!!
I appreciate that! Thanks for your comment!
I love your tutorials thank you so much the effort put in is hugely appreciated
Glad you like them! Thanks for your comment.
Thank you! This made a subject that was overwhelming a lot simpler for me
Glad it was helpful! Good luck with your shoots!
Great! Thank you so much for this input!
You're very welcome! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the tips and Vids JP . Very helpful .
Thanks Kevin, glad you enjoyed them.
Your model it's such a talent!! 😉
Abundance of information, thanks a lot!
Our pleasure! Glad you found it worthwhile!
This channel is really top notch. So many awful channels out there like daddyofive where Mike and Heather abuses their kids for views and subs. Or FuriousPete, where he's always trying to eat some 10 pound burger or pizza, or even TechRax, where he's setting galaxy s8 and iPhone 7 on fire for views and subs. Your channel produces consistent educational content that's fun to watch. Your channel deserves more subscribers. I can tell you put a lot of time and thought into each video. Keep up the great work.
FLOODOFSINS thanks so much.
Great points as always! My photos are getting better thanks to all of your material. Thanks Jay P.

Great info. By the way, she has a much better personality than your other models. I would suggest using her for your other videos.
Yes, she is a great talent to work with.

Me Again Jay P... Still loving your Video's. I have a noob question for you as I am very new to this field. What filters are you using to create the color on your lightboxes? and would color reflectors make any difference? Look forward to your reply
Thanks for the great Video. I really like your style of teaching. Greetings from Germany
Thank you, Holger! I hope you'll subscribe.

Thanks Ali!
lol, Jay in the intro, let me just put myself in focus and leave my poor model out of focus... Great video as always, thank you
Thank you for watching! Keep on clickin!!!
I’m finding this better than me making a spreadsheet to memorize light positions. Better to just move it around for the right look!
Definitely. Enjoy the craft of taking portraits!
very informative video thank you! she's beautiful woman
Great Tips...Thanks.
Amit Kandir thank you for watching, Amit.
Your comments apply to any art related to a visual experience.
Very true. It's all in training your eye!
dear jay, what are the dimensions of the room where that video was shot in? How far was the model from the background? How far from the model was the furthest camera filming video? Could you give me that insight? Thank you so much!!
The video is incredible by the way, kept me interested all the time. Its great to see live demonstrations.
Hey André! Thanks so much for your kind words. The room is about 20x30. Unfortunately I do not have the measurements for the model's distance from the background or cameras. Sorry about that!
Thanks, very helpful.
Totally don't get the 3D vs 1D thing though - don't see how photos can be less than 2D, but perhaps you can explain what you mean in a future video :-)
Karsten Bruun Qvist I meant 2D. 😬
Good to know.
And you should know that I'm really enjoying this series - the most helpful and well delivered info on lighting that I have come across anywhere :-)
Thank you!
Very.good
Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!
SUPER. SUPER , THE BEST

I like the tennis balls; I will need to do that in my studio! :)
Davina Hovanec I have a quick tip about them. They are floor savers!
DuPont makes a Lithium grease that helps to get rid of those unwanted sounds on set lol
these tennis balls :D
SmartVideo they work so well!

You still mess up the numbers of dimensions existing ;)
A one dimensional experience would be invisible. Pictures are (theoretically) two-dimensional.
Sven Störmann yes, I'm disappointed with the term, but I'm willing to overlook it for great content.
I'm waiting for the tutorial on how to create 5th dimension photos.
Sven Störmann that's next week.
womplestilskin thanks Sven.
We had already shot them when I realized my mistake. Next one will be correct.
Pictures are actually 2 dimensional, not 1 dimensional
7:03 - You make such a great couple - and she gets your lousy jokes (Disco and the James Bond thing, etc., ad nauseam).
2 dimensional world if not she would be just a dot
Gian Luca Lo Medico got it, thanks.
