"I don't believe in magic," says the guy who saved his dying father with THE Holy Grail.
Yeah that's an utterly stupid line. He encounters magic, face to face, in every story he's in. That already tells you a lot about this cash grab movie.
But a few times in my life I've seen things, things that I can't explain...?
He also said he didn’t believe in magic in raiders even though temple of doom happened a year before
I still remember watching Indiana jones 2 in theater. Good old times!
Indiana Jones 2 was actually Indiana Jones 1... because they had to make Marion go away. When I get my trilogy box set, my head hurt.
I saw the first one in the theater in 1981 when it was called "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
@@johnjamele Same here. Saw it 6 times that summer in "70mm 6-Track Dolby Sound". I throw up a little whenever I see or hear it called Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
@@chiefscheider I probably saw it as many times that summer, and I have no idea how many times I watched it on VHS- I dated a girl in college who wanted to watch it whenever she came to my apartment in the mid 80s.
Nice! I worked at a video store in early '83 and remember when we got Raiders (it was on that old RCA videodisc format lol). I watched it a ton too.
Hey do you think that girl you were dating was crushing on Mr Ford? 😉
I love it when indy says 'where we're going, we don't need roads'. And travels back in time in a flying car.
Stop that😂
Before you all get carried away, remember……..this is a Disney project!
Exactly. They have already said that the female is taking the lead instead of his actual son. In fact, there is even talk of the Dial of Destiny literally erasing Indy from existence.
”the female” lol how much of an incel can you even sound.
@@imurikauppias She is a female. Is that considered an insult nowadays? Do you want me to call her a birthing person?
Yep, if its good, I'll be surprised.
Bingo. Pk Disney
The very last scene where Indy yells "Get back!" and breaks out his whip...was old footage of fans swarming Ford for an autograph at Comic Con
Yeah those comic con guys stay strapped
Thank Christ we'll always have the original trilogy.
Doesn't believe but literally found the arc of the covanant and the holy grail and watched them work.

If they are keeping it as a surprise and secret until the movie comes out, but I'm fine okay with that but I hope Short Round appears in this, since it is Indiana Jones's send off
Hopefully mola ram, that old knight who was guarding the grail, the old librarian in Venice, and the weird old guy who greets them on the riverbank in mayapore make an appearance as well.
He's not, that's how shameful this whole thing is, how could they leave one of the greatest partners of Indiana Jones and only now after the Oscar they are talking about him, ridiculous, this is a mess.
Good point
@@BogusLion The less shoehorned references, the better. It would be a better service to the franchise and its fans to make a good movie instead of a mindless throwback.
@@G0on It's not a mindless throwback to have one of the greatest partners Indiana Jones had in the movie being part of the story now that he's a full grown up... only weak and narrow minds think that way because they don't know how to write movies or decent stories.
First trailer... 1:30, and music starts playing... major chills and tears in my eyes
Same here bro. That half time pace with that heavy bass... I'm 49 and the 8 year old who firs loved Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981 is SO incredibly beyond excited!!!!
That parachuting scene is going to become the franchises new "Nuke the Fridge"...
If you all only knew the excitement my parents had showing me Jones for the first time. Now that feeling is doubled because I got my 10 year old son too be a fan. Now this is the closer of that cycle my parents started way back when.
And in 20 years your son will show his kids Indy 9 starring 110 year old Harrison Ford whipping his lash in a wheelchair
I’m not against CGI animation I’m against excessive use of CGI animation. I think some filmmakers use CGI in a way a child uses every single color in the Crayola box. If you use every color the colors don’t complement each other very well and you end up with an ugly drawing. I don’t wanna pre-judge this film but it looks like there’s too much CGI and no matter what the studio or producer say Spielberg used to CGI in a very conservative way to bring a sense of believability to A film that is basically an action adventure fantasy film.
The minecart sequence in Temple of Doom used miniatures and tin foil for tunnels, still looks good today
@@mooseyman74 Yes and they used a custom built slow speed SLR camera. SLR cameras are generally not designed for motion picture they are still cameras. But they had to build a camera like that because the SLR camera was small enough to fit in the miniature.
Damn. Acting-wise, Harrison Ford does really get rejuvenated when he plays Indy, even more than when he played Han Solo.
He never liked playing Han. He was happy to get killed off. How don't you know this? I thought it was common knowledge at this point. Regardless, this movie will undoubtedly suck. It would be nice to be wrong, but my hopes live in the deepest depths of hell.
@@timsawyer9231 Yes I know that. Everyone does. And you're telling the tale wrong. It's not that he didn't like playing it. He just simply wasn't that into it as everyone else. He just thought there was the need for a death on the heroes' side at the end of Episode IV to give it more gravitas. And he also didn't want to play it in sequels.
You're missing the point. The thing is that even when he played Han Solo in Episode VII, he put real acting into it. Which he hasn't been doing in multiple roles for a while.
The point is that Indy is one of the exceptions.
@@timsawyer9231 Be positive. I watched the first Indiana Jones movie in the 80's and I loved it. Sequels were...uneven. All that being said, this movie is being directed by James Mangold, guy who directed Logan. It stars Harrison Ford, along with Mads Mikkelsen and Antonio Banderas. I have high hopes for this movie.
Tim Sawyer eagerly grabs his ankles for Darth Vader and the Dark Side.
Mangold has turned into a Twitter obsessed weirdo, so I don’t have much faith in this film. Something broke him several years ago.
Indiana Jones and the Detectorist. Brilliant.

How is no one mentioning the fact John Reese Davies is back! He’s been the missing piece to the revival.

Indiana Jones and The Fountain of Youth. Can't wait to see this--Harrison Ford never disappoints.😊
Can’t believe he is 80!!!
He was 78/79 filming this and Indy is about 73

Good lord they'll never let these franchises end
Yeah they’re basically proving with this that they could continue it even after Harrison Ford dies because they can just use CG and deepfake, they won’t let the poor man rest even once he’s dead, at least he seems excited about this one, Indiana Jones is his favorite character to play

Please let this movie bring back the amazing Indiana Jones. Crystal Skull was an insult to fans.
Looks like a time travel movie.
The part where Indy Diggler whips it out in the mirror and stares at it. Then they find One Eyed Willy’s ship later with the map as Indy shouts, “Hey you guys!” Was absolutely magical. Film of the year.

I love the plot written in the description, really Hollywood standard.

I love the Indiana Jones trilogy. Great movies.
As a 2000's kid whose heart is beating with 80's I was lucky enough to catch& watch almost all sequels of classic 80's movies in cinema. Rambo Last Blood, Top Gun, JW, DH, Terminator and now Indiana Jones. I hope ıt'll be better than fourth one. though.
Same
I hope he says 'part-time' again in this one.
NICE TRAILER, CANT WAIT!!!
One of the reasons Harrison Ford made the Indiana Jones movies great is his expression where it seems he's always annoyed or angry yet does funny or cool things unwillingly.
Another Disney Franchise bites the dust!
1:38 Millenium Falcon Detected
Looks to me he’s looking for the artifact in the ocean for a change that’s refreshing
Ancient Greece is definitely involved in this movie. We see the ruins of an ancient Greek temple, goddess Athena statue and Titan Atlas holding the world on his shoulders. The Dial Of Destiny must be some sort of time manipulation mechanism capable of altering the route of history. Fortune and glory kid , fortune and glory !
Probably a fictionalised version of the Antikythera Mechanism...
Dude the memes in the comments permeate all modern movie trailers. This shit is gold
Doesn't look nearly as bad as I thought it would.
I really want this to be good
i loved the part when indiana said hold my dog
I'm just here to whine about something I haven't seen yet and make predictions that won't pan out. Just like I do for every major franchise film.
My favorite part is when indi puts on the sorting hat and frodo says ravenclaw 💙
I think you heard wrong he clearly said Griffindor.

So who is supposed to be giving the voiceover about missing adventure? I mean I guess it could be John Rhys Davies, but it doesn’t sound like him, it sounds more like Marcus Brody, but that actor passed away in 1992. He was incredible, what are my favorite Indiana Jones moments is when he is telling his captors that Marcus Brody will just disappear and blend in and we cut to him just totally out of his element in some foreign city.
Does anyone here speak English? Lol 😂
Marcus Brody's got a two-day head start on the bad guys, which is more than he needs. He's got friends in every town and village from here to the Sudan, he speaks a dozen languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, they'll never see him again. With any luck, he's got the Dial of Destiny already.
@@DrDanka69 hahahahaha. I am so glad someone knew exactly what I was talking about! You just made my night my friend.
@@mattlawson714 that’s literally my favorite part of the movie lol so many people forget about it. To this day I still laugh at it every time.
@@sturmovik1274 you are my hero. That has to be one of the funniest cuts ever, Indiana delivering that line only to cut to Marcus asking “does anyone here speak English?” I only remembered that part thanks to the other incredibly intelligent gentleman who also commented on this. I wish I knew people like y’all in real life. my movie references largely fall on deaf ears. I bet each of you can name the movie with these quotes: “clever girl.” “Get away from her you bitch”. “Does this look like dead (not my word to use) storage?” “Rosebud”. “Feel lucky punk?” “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for”. Dating is hard because I’m only 34 and most people my age and definitely most people younger do not know any of these references. OK, so dating isn’t that hard, because I’m dating a woman 13 years older. But even she gets bored with me talking about the Beatles transition period with Rubber Soul and Revolver from a pop band to something much more than that. She knows not to bring up Pink Floyd and the fact that I think Meddle and Saucerful of Secrets and Animals deserve more praise than “The Wall”.
Looks good!
I have high hopes for this one! I have been a big fan of the "Indiana Jones" films since the original 1981. I hope that this ends the series on a positive note. Harrison Ford stills rocks! 😎👌
@1:39 Is it just me or does it look like the Millenium Falcon jumping into hypespace?
Unpopular opinion: I really liked the ending of Crystal Skulls. It made me happy to see Indy with Marion and they’re child. It looks like they’re ignoring that storyline. I’m still going to watch it of course. (It comes out on my birthday!) I just hope they tie it together somehow
Some one left the toilet unflushed.
I bet the best part of this movie is the parts we watched in this trailer.
"I don't believe in magic" after Jones has seen The Ark melt people or the Holy Grail gift life back to a dying old man. Let's not forget ripping a live heart from a mans chest and seeing it burst into flames! Fuck this movie, should've stopped at the 3rd film
Looks great. Can't wait.
... fearful this will end up The Dial Of Density
I wasn’t sold until the b29 scene that had Star Wars vibes.
Why do you guys have to be such downers. The director of Logan, James Mangold is in charge of this. Let's trust his work.
This actually looks good if it lives up to the trailer
Well...on 30th of June I be 8yrs old boy again...

Indiana Jones 5: Let’s forget we hinted at Shia Labeouf taking up the mantle.
The ending of KotCS had him take the hat back from him.
Seems great, seems not to overuse CGI.
This is going to make Crystal Skull look like a masterpiece.
Based on what exactly? James Mangold is an excellent writer and director. Logan was done really well and was highly praised and Ford v Ferrari was also a really good movie. How about you give the movie a chance.
@@grahammiller1212 Ron Howard is also a great director. Two words: Disney (and) Kennedy.
