    Drilling out snapped bolts and having to helicoil the shitters
    P.s. I didn’t actually replace the water pump, but had to remove and refit the turd to fix the snapped bolt.

    usually 10minute replacement videos take me about two days.... so this 25minute video will probably be the death of me trying it myself.... great entertainment video as usual, thankyou

      @@necropolisk-yu3js this was a bit of a pain in the arse of a job tbh, it took me about 2 hours! Maybe a bit more. It always takes a LOT longer to do a job when filming. I remember doing the clutch on my c1. First time I did it years ago before CZcams it took me about 3 hours, making the video took all bastard day!

    Thanks, great video. Having exactly the same issues with bonded bolts on the thermostat couldn’t get them out. Amazing how my DPF issue is growing into glow plugs, controller, EGR, thermostat and now I’ll need a water pump and fix hopefully.

      The most common dpf issue on these, well on the later cars than this, is probably the thermostat. The dpf will never regen if the engine is too cold. I had the same issue on my dad’s 335d when he first got it. Changed both thermostats for genuine bmw and that sorted the dpf issues. I did the glow plugs and module on the car in a recent video too. The glow plug issue wasn’t actually causing any issues tbh, but my dad is very fussy and just couldn’t live with the car having a fault flagging up on it when he plugged his diagnostic scanner in.

      Thanks for the link -also a good watch - more relaxed after just replacing the glow-plugs :) went OK, none of them stuck- didn't know about a cleaning tool to get all the crud out of the chamber - next time! Controller module also - done by touch and knowing what it looked like, my back is suffering.... @@StupidBlokeStupidVideos

      @@StupidBlokeStupidVideos After much reading up, I'm in agreement and hope the higher temp makes a difference also. my C110 scanner had all glow -plugs and controller errors, multiple DPF errors and regeneration not working faults/back .... I also noticed the water temp seemed to struggle getting above 75-C, but never thought an issue until reading up, so changing the thermostats . Have purchased DPF cleaner foam and will inject in the pressure sensor line and hope this gives it all a kick start (WHEN I get it all put back...). Thanks for making the videos - great descriptions also- take that Sh***er off that sh***er- know exactly what you mean.!

      @@paulroberts2899 yea the thermostats are the worst thing to cause dpf issues on these I think. Also cos there’s no temp gauge you don’t realise the thermostat is fucked until the dpf blocks up 🙄

    My M47 was never getting to temperature so I replaced the thermostat (lots of work, as you can see here)... then it was still not getting up to temperature! Turned out all it needed was the little EGR thermostat on top (5 minute job)... D'oh!

      @@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Do you know if glow plugs always throws out a fault code if bad? Have had some problems starting up this winter when below -15 celcius.. no faults from sparkplugs or battery

    • @StupidBlokeStupidVideos
      @StupidBlokeStupidVideos  Před 5 měsíci

      @@simenkarl1234 you mean the glow plugs, they usually do yes but you could possibly have some that are weak but working. They don’t need them until it’s very cold, but -15°c it would need them to start up without a lot of cranking. The glow plug module is a common issue for failing on these cars too. It’s the same setup as in this other video I did on my dad’s 335d.
