Good video👍 I done the water pump and thermostat on my E90 318i last week, been connected to the back of the power steering pump it was a bit tricky to get at on the N46 engine, but I just done for peace of mind
Mate it’s well worth doing it on them I know that engine well I’m about to do a 120i myself on the channel for you lot to see mostly Uk lot as it’s a problematic engine with the valveteonic and also the timing chain so I will be doing videos on that

My fan clutch and water pump connection is hanging loose from the water pump, should I just break it off and order a new water pump and fan assembly?
Oh man! I really need help here 🙏 I have a 2006 BMW 330i and I ran the process and worked the first time. I topped it off, turned on the car and it overheated. I tried to run the process again and I couldn't get it to bleed anymore. I checked all fuses under the hood as well and all are good. I can't figure out why it won't run anymore. I'm stumped 🤔

That’s correct mate for 25 pound can’t moan with my trade discount and thermostat at 20 quid I got shit loads of stuff only cost me £100
@@BMWDoctor Nice one. Very handy having that card.... I paid £27 for the upper radiator hose in there the other day when they sell Febi for £17 online but Euro is good when you need it same day.
Yep mate well luckily they deliever it all to me same day mate as I’m trade and registered business so it’s fine for me but radiator hoses I won’t go anywhere else apart from bmw only I can check the stock on my etk and reserve it there and then and see the prices the hoses in Bmw are only 20 pound each anyway mate if your trade
@@BMWDoctor Fair point. The Viaco hose I got from Euro is a lot slimmer than the stock hose that was on there and it don't seem as thick. It will do for now though.

Luckily my coolant system minus the heater core valve and heater core was done a year ago. But it had air in it when I got it I pray the pump isn’t to bad also did the valve cover gasket. I need to do the ccv system though

Hi Dean, love the content. I've recently replaced new thermostat, it was working for few days and now it never reaches 90c again. Could it be due to the water pump was not replaced, or the thermostat was faulty?
That is correct it can be many things but if it’s not coming up to temp it probably means the system hasn’t been bled correctly like I see a lot of these cars and I would get that done ASAP or your risking popping the head gasket

I bought a 525d e61 2 days ago, it has gone 200000km. It started squeaking from the front of the car, and vapour started. I started thinking headgasket, but it doesnt produce ANY exhaust whatsoever. Whenever I pressed the gas it would shoot vapour out, which i couldnt localize. But does a broken waterpump do this? Engine isnt missing any power, however I am not driving it ofc

The pumps with metal impellers are rubbish and won't last. The bearings fail prematurely and the impeller rusts too. Stick with the composite ones such as SKF.
I dont get why people dont use the plug under the radiator. Always be pulling the hoses off and making a mess 🤣
