Kia/Hyundai may have questionable drivetrains and not great dealerships, but I will admit they have some bold designs and I like seeing them on the road. Also the one Hyundai I rode in had a ton of rear leg room, which as a tall person, I appreciated.

This is a brilliantly informative and simultaneously silly conversation. Love it!

The first time I rode in a KIA was back in the 80s. It was a KIA Pongo. I remember seeing the KIA Pride when it first came out in Korea. Years later I picked up a used 2005 Optima, and I really liked it. I traded in the Optima for a new 2013 Rio. The Rio was a back killer. Next was a 2016 Soul Plus. So far, the best KIA I have owned is my 2021 Soul EX in Undercover Green. I've actually had people follow me until I pulled into a convenient store, just so they could ask me what color it is. Unfortunately, Undercover Green is no longer available. The dealership wanted to buy my 2021 Soul, and I told them that because interest rates have gone up, I would not sell it. But, most importantly, I would not sell it because Undercover Green is no longer available. An AWD Soul would be nice. Electric vehicles are still too expensive, damaging to the environment and impractical. The cost of the toxic batteries is insane. Who wants to wait 4 hours for a charge? An EV6 is at least $20k more than my fully loaded Soul EX. The number one reason I will not be buying an EV is because the communist running our country want us to drive EVs.
