Teresa, you are so kind regarding the contents of my video. You were right, Cocoa and I had a great time being just the girls, but we were both ready to see Tommy when he arrived home! Cocoa wouldn't stop spinning for several minutes. LOL. Yesterday she got to go to Fred's as I am heading out for a girls' weekend this morning and my hubby wants to go test out a new tent while I am gone. Christiane, thank you for the kind feedback about staying focused and finishing projects. I am a project stitcher as I have said before and I do want to finish what I start because I want it in my home. However, I do love variety so I do work on multiple projects every week to keep my interest up. SO happy to. hear you had a good experience when you stopped in Macon on your way to the beach. It has changed a lot since I grew up there, but I have wonderful memories of my childhood there. Cocoa was very happy to see her Daddy for sure! She spun and spun and spun in delight! Always tickles us to see that. Melts my heart. Dena

Kathyn, my hubby won third place in his age category so that is pretty good considering he had strep throat at the time. He is still very tired and hasn't fully recovered quite yet, but he is improving. We did have a special supper. My hubby loves fish so we had fish for supper. Have a great week yourself. Dena
The beads on the Queens....just gorgeous!!! One of the most beautiful patterns for sure and your work is amazing. The frame for Halloween Quaker couldn't be better...also gorgeous! Thirteenth Colony makes me sigh out loud...those greens are just me. I think I need it but it's a big girl for sure! And as I've said before, you look wonderful, especially in that red top. So, if you are wondering if folks notice the work on your health, we do!

Sharon, you are so right, I feel like I am on a huge roll. Now I am closing in on another finish which I hope to get this stitching weekend. I leave in an about an hour for a girl's weekend of stitching and finishing at a lake cabin in South Carolina. I am so happy! I hope to have a finish, at least one new start (to commemorate the trip) and a few FFO's when I'm done. Big plans! We shall see what I can accomplish. Dena
Oh, my! Beauty galore with your Royal Games 1 finish. That's a heck of a lot of beads in her. She looks fantastic. By the Bay colors are so pretty. I'm glad you got to enjoy your finish of page 2 for at least a few hours before picking it back up for round 3. I hope hubby had a great run and that he's feeling much better now. The quilt is really turning out so pretty! The photo on the chart just doesn't do it justice. Sweet Cocoa is full of energy; hubby needs to take her for a long hike to work some of it off. 🦮🦮🐕🦺 Finish-itis is real. I get to a certain point in a project and can't stop until it's done. Oh how sweet! I am thinking this grooming session went much better for Cocoa. Hope Hunny is pushing 100% in his health again and I sure do hope he had a good run. Deena, I’ve said it before but I do enjoy your vlogs and seeing your progress. I am now over a year not stitching but Jack is starting to show improvement in his health and I really feel I will once again be able to pick up a project again. So watching you share your stitching is a big help for me to keep my toe in the stitching world. Having so much illness in the house is so much stress for both Jack and I and I’m not good about frogging so I wait. I just didn’t know this would come on the heels of my painting dry spell. Life has a way of taking us over but I know that God will get both of us back on track if only we trust. So share…your stitching, your sweet sweet pup and all the stories fit to print!!!:):):)
Vicki, my hubby is not 100% yet, he is very tired. He did well in his race, taking third in his age group (not bad for someone with Strep Throat). Anyway I think he should go back to the doctor, but he says it will just take a few days to run its course and he will finish his antibiotic in the meantime. I am so sorry that you have been having so much illness in your household and pray that good health is on its way back to you both. Dena

I love it because my mom had a beautiful willow tree in our front yard when I was a young girl until I was a much older adult and she loved that tree. It reminds me of her. A great memory. Dena

@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 oh my yes, we sure did. I wish you could meet him. He is so talkative. He just recently learned that his grandma is a pianist so he loves to sit and listen to me or try and accompany me with his bells. It's so cute.

Jeannie, thanks so much for the love for my framed finishes. My hubby won 3rd place in his age division at the race in Brunswick last Saturday (not bad considering he had strep throat at the time). My son is doing well. He has relocated for a wonderful opportunity but that means he is now 5 hours away so I don't get to see him often now. We do talk every week by phone, in fact we just talked this morning so this momma is very happy. Thanks for asking about him. Dena

Francine, my hubby did love his stitched Valentine. He put it up on the mantle with his card from me and would not let me move it. It is still up there. I will have to change the mantle out for Easter but I was tickled at how much he liked it that I stitched it for him. Dena

First of all I want to tell you how much I absolutely LOVED you JOY Raggedy Ann that you made. I just may be my favorite of all time. Next, I was hoping you were going to say you were having a give away for Miss Christmas Eve. I was telling you youngest daughter, just yesterday, about that pattern. I may make it for her or, maybe Queen of Hearts, I love them both. She is 24 and getting ready to do her very first counted cross stitch piece! I'm very excited about that. I also have been wondering about JT. You haven't mentioned him in a long time and was afraid it was him that was sick when you mentioned your friends stroke. Glad she is doing so well. I have used your system of sectioning off a project into smaller bites. I just did that with Touching the Autumn Sky and now I can't put it down. It will be done way before my plans! I too would love to adopt Donna's Needle and Pins sampler. I also love samplers. Hope JT is doing well and I wish I had days to myself to stitch as long as I want. Thank you for all that you post, I really look forward to new videos coming out!
I really loved the JOY Raggedy Ann piece as well and Cheryl's reaction was great! JT is doing very well. He moved to a new home about 5 hours from us for a wonderful opportunity so I do miss him. Love finishitis ! Your needles are flying! Funny how the game choices can set the mood for what we want to work on. My WIPGO for full coverage is not happening. Too much else going on to stitch it, plus it's over 1 on 25 ct black evenweave. Cataract surgery coming up Thursday. Maybe it will be better after that...but for now, it's going on the back burner. Hopefully continuing 13th Colony will be delightful!

Royal Games is gorgeous! Congrats! Now you have me questioning whether I should bead as I go. If I do, I'm going to have to put her on scroll rods instead of q-snaps though. I don't think I have any extra rods right now. Hmmmmm...things to think about. The frame and mat are absolutely perfect!!!!! My son had Strep a few years back. It was horrible. I'm always impressed by your husband, but the fact that he can race while recovering from that is mind-blowing.
Julie, I have tried beading as I go on Mill Hills, but on Mirabilia's, I have done both as I go and at the end. I prefer at the end. But it is a personal preference. I like being able to have my beading needle out once and do all the beading without having to swap needles. My hubby doesn't let illness get in the way of his running very often. LOL. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 I let EVERYTHING get in the way of my running. It's too hot. It's too cold. It's too windy. It's too dark. It's too bright. It's Monday. I didn't eat enough. I ate too much. I have to decide whether to bead as I go or bead at the end. I have to put the laundry away. I just took a shower. I can keep going. Ha ha. Stitching is a different story. I haven't missed a day in at least 4 years, maybe longer.

Argh lost my post as forgot to send before bed. Well, I remember that by the bay and queens were fantastic! Also your scarf the pink one on valentines day was beautiful. And cocoa, Allie knows as well the bartering with mama. Lol I remember someone starting 80 projects for her 80th. When you said start 2025 fresh, (not me this yr) thought of my friend saying are you doing that for your 70th?😂hahaha they would have to be all tiny small starts. Anyway I am on a want to finish my fill coverage (pictures on my IG) this yr. Well May 29th lol but am on,y half way. So till I get tired of it, will work mostly on that. Have a fun visit.

I am hoping to finish all of 3 of my current WIPs as of today. Now I will be starting another new start for WIPGO in March. But I did have a finish of another Year of WIPs projects this weekend and I have a start and finish of a small so I am still at 17 WIPs right now. Hi Dena! I started watching you when I came back to cross stitch in late 2018 & discovered Flosstube. My niche for stitching ended up being full coverage, so I eventually gravitated towards videos that featured that. Then last fall I started adding some smaller & non-full coverage pieces into my stitching. So in October I started watching your channel from the beginning! And here I am, 5 1/2 months later, totally caught up in ALL your videos. What am I going to do now without my daily fix of Miss Dena & Cocoa? 😅 I feel lost!! Deannae, I did use a short beading needle from Mill Hill to bead my Royal Games. Donna has agreed to come by and film segments with me on occasion so I am hoping to have her more regularly in the future. Fingers crossed. Dena
Hi Dena....This episode was jam packed with lots of stitching and finishes. You go girl. Double check the bodice of your queen of hearts dress is there a place there where some beads might be missing.? I would hate for it to get framed and then have you discover it. Maybe it was just an optical illusion. In any case the project is spectacular. Great work. Love the frame you put your Halloween one on. Have a wonderful week. Cindy
Cindy, you are right there is a space where it appears there are crossed stitches where beads would fit. I noticed it as well, but I decided to finish it as stitched and see....I think it needs beads as well. Will be adding those. Dena

Dena , love your finished Halloween Quaker ( beautiful ). Question: are all your patterns on your computer so that's how you keep track of stitches and do you stitch two handed . Take care
Yvonne, my patterns are not on computer. I use a working copy and once I stitch a section, I mark it as complete with colored pencils. As I mark, I count. I do stitch two handed by using my floor stand at home and my lap stand (on the table top usually) when I am stitching at the library or elsewhere. Dena
