You are definitely a master at figuring out prompts...9 rabbits on Hawk Run Hollow! I don't think I could keep track of all you do! So much stitching...all beautiful. And great finishes, too. And that project bag..I said "Oh wow!" out loud on that one! There's nothing like getting together with friends and stitching together is even better.

Linda, so glad you enjoyed the finish parade! Cocoa is up to her lovely self and is a very sweet puppy. She is so shy when she first meets folks that it takes several visits for her to realize you are one of her "regular people". But she has decided my friend Julianna who comes to stitch is one of her people now and she lets Julianna pet her and love on her now. There are only two of my friends she has allowed this privilege, my friend Donna and now my friend Julianna so they are a select group. LOL. Dena

Dena, Im so glad you had a wonderful weekend away with your girlfriends. You ladies were definitely on a mission with all your FFOs! They all turned out gorgeous beyond belief. Loved all of them but I think your project bag was my favorite. The fabric choice was perfect! I wanted to learn how to sew this year so i could turn a lot of my smalls into pillows, banners, etc. Now after seeing all of yours, makes me want to do so even more. It was a smart idea to set aside a whole weekend for FFO projects. You're making great progress on the other stitches as well. Hope you have had another great week! 😊
Kathy, I am an early riser compared to three of the other four ladies so I did some stitching or hand sewing on my finishes while they were sleeping. Didn't want to wake anyone by running the sewing machine. So I was able to get some stitching accomplished as well as finishes. It was one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. So fun, Dena

TaMara, that friendship is real. Fred was the first dog Cocoa was able to bond with and meet. She had been bitten as a puppy and was so fearful of other dogs. Now, after staying with our dog sitter, she has learned to meet other dogs properly. Tommy has worked hard with her as well. Happy Stitching to you. Dena
Your weekend looks like you had a great time! A lot was packed into it. Everyone's FFOs are so pretty. The Paula Vaughn piece with the stitched quilt is just stunning. And, I'm glad to see your angel done; you've worked so hard and consistently to finish her. I like the oval on the bottom, too, instead of squaring the snow up. I hope hubby gets well soon. Judy, the weekend was fabulous and productive! I do think my favorite WIP right now is the Paula Vaughn Spring Quilt. I am hoping to finish it this coming month of March. Wow! You blew me away with this video! Small gift against that dark blue fabric is so sharp. It turned out beautiful. I loved all your FFOs but that project bag…. Let me just say if it goes missing you may want to direct the police to some old lady’s house outside of Philly! It’s the most gorgeous project bag I’ve ever seen! I remember when you stitched that. Harley’s little tail… way too cute! And cocoa getting to Fred’s house just made me happy. This was quite a wonderful week for you!!

Crystal, the next WIP I am pushing to a finish might be Spring Quilt. I really love the look of it and it is almost Spring, so that would be timely. Nina, it is a uniquely wonderful experience to be with fellow stitchers and help each other design our finishes, pick what to stitch together as a group (we planned a new Start along for March) and to be able to talk about stitching and watch floss tube together! Awesome! Dena

I was thrilled to get to meet you and all your stitching friends at Panda's. I have wanted to meet you since I first started watching your videos. As you know, I have been watching for a few years. I don't always get to comment, but I love to see your beautiful stitching and all the progress you make. The Madame La Fee piece is going to be gorgeous, but I had no idea it was going to be that large. I do love her window scenes. Your finishes and those of your group are just beautiful and so glad you got so much fully finished. It was good to see Coco and your husband on their way to Fred's. I hope your husband feels much better now and glad he got some much needed rest. Our main job for the pets is let the dog out , let the dog in, repeat. Cristiane, the dentist visit was not as bad as I was anticipating, so I survived pretty well. We did have a wonderfully productive weekend. I tried to frame my Small Gift this week, but the frame I ordered was too small. I ordered what I thought were the inside dimensions, but it was the outside dimensions, so I will save that frame for a smaller piece and look again at what I can find. LOL. Still in the finishing mood I guess. Dena

Those patterns that have no grayed out area sure are taxing on the brain sometimes. I don't know why designers do that.Your projects are beautiful.I love your Stitcher's Days of Christmas. I know you are grateful you didn't have to go out in the cold. Today it was 70 degrees here tomorrow its suppose to snow. I think Mother Nature has lost her mind. Linda, our weather has been a bit fickle as well. I am hoping today is warmer as my hubby is meeting a friend for breakfast so I will be walking Cocoa for sure. Carolyn, we did have a productive weekend and had so much fun. It was the first time we five had spent more than a few hours together so we were thrilled at how well we got along. Harley loved everyone, but I was thrilled when he decided I had to be missing Cocoa and he jumped into my bed and slept with me. So precious! My crown went pretty well, just minor discomfort but it is over and that is the best part...it is behind me. I am trying to decide what WiP or new start I want to do for your birthday. Will let you know. Dena

Beautiful stitching and congrats on your finish of Small Gifts, I agree with you on not doing all the snow on the bottom as it truly wouldnt have added anything to the piece.
Your FFO'S were absolutely charming! I have never done a flat fold, I need to do learn that technique. Have heard or seen JT lately, hope he's doing well and not working too many crazy hours.
Elaine, thanks so much for the congrats for my Small Gift finish. I am hoping to get an oval frame for it if I can find a complimentary color in one. I followed Vonna's tutorial for flat folds and it is awesome. JT is doing well. He relocated to another town in Georgia back in November that is 5 hours away so we don't get to see him often anymore. We traveled to his new home once in December, but we talk each week. Thanks so much for asking. Dena

I think Haunted mansion came out great! I am so glad you were able to finish it. I love Mill Hill projects and I am about to start Jingle Bells on fabric. Listening to your dilemma about the beads has been very informative, as this will be my first time not using the perforated paper. I just love when you talk about Cocoa. Lake Hartwell is such a beautiful area in South Carolina. I live a couple hours northeast of it, an hour and a half below Charlotte.

Well, I was busy cooking and baking today. My back was so sore so at 730 I sat to stitch, got 320 in this eve. I don’t count but this was easy counting.lol now time for bed. Oh that bag is fantastic, what a great job! The zipper pull matches so perfectly! I have made envelope ones, i have added a cross stitch but last time I did a zipper was grade 9 and we both know how long ago that was😂. Remember ‘ Put on your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it’ ? Boy I am really telling our age lol Love all your ffo’s . And so glad you had a great time. Hi Harley! Nativity would be a hard stitch for me I think.
Cindy, the little lake house retreat was fantastic for sure. I hope we have as much fun in June when they all come to my house. We plan on making a tote bag to carry our projects to retreats and stitching meet ups and stitch. I do remember the song Easter Bonnet, but can't recall all the words. Harley was so sweet and such a good boy over the weekend. Hope you have a great month of stitching in March! Dena

Arlene, it was a tremendous feeling of accomplishment to finally get that project bag made. Also, I did have my crown replaced and it went okay. I was so nervous about the numbing process but that wasn't too bad in the end. Dena
Been thinking about you. Had cataract surgery and will again the 29th...
How did you see to stitch afterwards? I am using the uncorrected eye to stitch, but seriously can't see up close with my fixed eye. If all I wanted to do is watch TV, I'd be set! But stitching...you didn't seem to miss a beat. I will have a hard time waiting 5 weeks to stitch again. Hopefully it won't be as blurry with 2 eyes.
Your stitching is delightful as usual. Your strategies for accomplishing so much are amazing. I had to opt out of a few goals this month, but did get a lot done.
I've enjoyed meeting local stitchers, and more are joining us over time. It's such a joy to share love of patterns, colors, and interests! Flosstube has been an unexpected blessing allowing me to meet other stitchers in real life. Happy stitching!
Candra, I think it depends on what lens you choose for your surgery as to how well you see to stitch. I chose lens that have three distance capability each. So I can see close up really well, mid distance really well and pretty well far off. The far off is the least strong, but I chose that because I stitch more than I drive. You may still need to wear cheaters to stitch but that will still be doable. I hope your second eye goes well. I did have clear vision within 24 hours of surgery, so I hope you do as well. Dena

Hi Dena, so much accomplished and beautiful finishes! How do you do the single stitches on The Gift? I tried pin stitch but with ending the stitch it all came out. Looks like you had a fabulous weekend. Hope your husband is feeling better.
Cheryl, since my fabric was Navy Blue, and I plan on using black mat board for mounting, I just carried the white floss all over the back. We shall see if that gives me any problems when I frame it. Dena
