Sharon, so far I have started the third in the Coastal Ornament series and I have stitched the second of three of those cute Easter Bunnies. So that is what I have physically touched so far from the series backlog. I have plans for a couple more that I have swapped out for other planned starts in 2024. Dena

Amanda, thanks so much for the compliment on my pillow. We will have a different sort of Easter this year. My hubby is running in a road race on Saturday before Easter and will be traveling on Easter Sunday. So we won't be together until later in the day. But that is okay. Dena

Kanday we had a blast. We celebrated Donna's birthday (a couple of days early) and provided her with rhinestone sun glasses, a necklace of huge pom poms and a large button that said Birthday Girl. She wore it all and was styling! LOLOLOL. Dena
That was a great video. First the pandemic cushion, that is perfect and beautiful. Than the sampler for all seasons, that was a favorite project from me to see growing. Very beautiful.
And than the trees one with the beads and silver, I forgot that one. But awesome.

Your allseasons piece is fantastic! Congratulations on your finish and all the other accomplishments this month. I've fallen behind in all my goals post cataract surgery and a quilting retreat. I'll make up for it sooner or later, but not being able to for a few days makes stitching time more precious
Candra, isn't that so true! When I cannot stitch for any reason when I can get back to stitching, I am so thrilled and grateful I can spend my time with this hobby. I hope your surgery went well. Dena

I appreciated your candid discussion on the series pieces. It's so easy to do a piece or two and set them aside. I'm caught up on all my series but I've been really picky lately with onboarding to any new series. The tiny towns are keeping me busy!
Elaine, I was shocked to find I had so many series that I had stitched only the first one of and never made plans for the rest. So during the retreat I stitched up a second in a series of three Easter bunnies and finished it. Then I started the third Coastal Ornament (final ornament in the series) so I can start on the storage box next and finish that as a gift for this coming Christmas. Now I have to work on getting spots for the remaining 31 pieces. LOL. Dena

Your Pandemic pillow is so pretty! And, finished! Love seeing all your progress. I found it so interesting how you plan for new starts in a series. When I look at patterns, I don't always like the whole series, so I just treat them as single projects. My exception this year is Satsuma Street Oology Easter eggs and Snow Village by CCN. I also try to kit up when I get a pattern, stick in a basket, and it's ready to go. Thank you for showing your thought process. You always have such great advice and ideas. 😂 Happy stitching!
Judy, I was just so surprised to find so many series. I don't think when I started the first one I even thought about it being one of a series except the word plays. I have made good progress on them because I did see them as a series. But, I decided since all of these are fully kitted I should do something to get them stitched. Dena

I'm also working on the vintage Christmas ornaments - I pretty much only work on them on Friday's and I'm making really great progress considering. I think it's because, even though it's full coverage, so many of the stitches are 1/2 stitch. My goal is to have them finished and on my tree this year!

Hello Dena the Pandemic pillow is beautiful so good to see it completed. A beautiful bench . I am working on Autumn Hawk Run Hollow on 40 count hand dyed linen with tea and cinnamon. Love the Winter bling. Love Christmas Parade so adorable. Another beautiful finish the four seasons. I am considering purchasing the Pandemic chart as I have been so inspired by your work and finish would you mind telling me the floss colours you used. Happy stitching and enjoy the retreat.
Neil the color I used for Pandemic was DMC 93. Highly variegated. So much so, that is why Is topped stitching on it. I couldn't see the lightest color when I looked at it from a slight distance (it faded away). But the pattern was great fun to stitch. Dena
Finally back and had to say I am trying to figure where my totem side ends and background is as I am doing background 1 over 1 and totem itself 2 over 1. So have been trying to see where I can use 1 or 2 threads thankfully I am on second from last page to end.lol whewwww. And thing is who will notice edge being 1nline thinner. Lol noone. My priority is getting this full coverage done. Then have 3 others in the back waiting but when done this I am doing a regular one for me. Lol. Ohhh sampler for all seasons is fantastic! Think I may look for that pattern, not like the list of wants isn’t long enough but like you love the sentiment and it can stay up yr round.❤

Hi Dena...Can you help with a question I have? I recently purchased the Victoria Clayton silks for Halloween at Hawkrun Hollow, first time user of any silks. Question is do I use 1 strand as I would when using DMC thread, I am stitching this on called for fabric 40 count Legacy.
Lynn, you can use one strand of silk if you like but since I can't see it personally, I would recommend you stitch a few stitches in a border of your fabric with 1 over 2 and then a small group of stitches in 2 over 2 and see what you like the best. Dena
