Today we are getting a lovely rain shower but Tommy and Cocoa were planning on a long hike in the park, so they will have to regroup (or wait until this afternoon). Thanks so much Kathyn. I have been working hard to loose weight to reduce the fluid around my heart and to address my diabetes etc. So far everything is improving so I am pleased. I appreciate the compliment very much! Dena

Flag Day is in June. June 14th is flag day. I stitched a Flag Day piece which is why I know. Lol. Always good to here everything you are doing and stitching on.

TaMara, we did have a wonderful trip to the mountains. Everyone made it there safely and we shared several days of fun, food and fellowship. Everyone made it home safely as well so that was a blessing. Even stitching took place! Dena
It looked like Christmas with all of your retreat goodies! Such beautiful fabrics! Dang, girl! I have worked like a son-of-a-gun to lose 30 pounds in a year...I swear you look like you've lost that much in far less time. You have always looked lovely but I'm sure you are feeling great!
Lynn, I have lost more than double that but I had to. I was developing fluid around my heart and had to get the weight off fast. I should speak to it I think since people are noticing it. I am feeling great so thank you for noticing and speaking about it. Happy stitching to you! Dena

Aargh Cocoa sounds like a daddy's girl. I went to the Imperial War museum in London, and saw where Churchill worked. I typed on one of the old fashioned typewriters. One of the museum curators asked ne what I typed, and I told him it was Churchill's iconic speech 'We will fight them on the beaches etc. Like your husband, too much to see, but not enough time. Really nice to hear about his trip.
Cocoa is a Daddy's girl for sure, but she is loving her momma more and more as time goes by and Daddy is traveling more (hiking and running) and momma is staying with her most of the time. I think she is figuring out that we both have our value. LOL. She is loving and adorable and we are over the moon about her of course. Dena

Thanks for the well wishes for our travels and for Easter. My hubby enjoyed his run and his trip very much. Then we had a fabulous time in the Tennessee mountains with our friends. Now we are all back home safe and sound and I'm stitching which is how I like it! LOL. Dena

Sounds like you had a great time at retreat. Glad you got a lot of stitching done, but you always do.Your bunny is adorable. I knew your voice sounded a little off as soon as you started talking.I have had laryngitis really bad for about 3 week I go to Ear nose and throat Dr tomorrow. Linda, I hope you laryngitis is better and you are getting back to normal. Mine took a couple of days and I tried not to talk a lot for a few days to rest it. However, it was worth it! LOL. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 Hi Dena mine as been a month. Went to Ear, Nose and Throat Dr yesterday. She thinks my left vocal cord is paralyzed from my immunotherapy chemo treatments. She does think she can get it fixed. I hope so anyway.Glad yours came back quickly. I don't talk much anyway all day except to my dogs so my voice gets rested a lot.

In your last flosstube, I had just about decided you were losing weight; did you mention you were trying? But this episode there is no doubt. Congratulations! The rest of us are still struggling.

@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 it has taken me two years to lose 69 pounds, but it is not so noticeable to others. I can only tell because my clothes are so loose.

Oh my goodness Deana! I have a funny to tell you. I was watching your video when you came to the part of your Jolly update, I had to laugh. I have a Shih Tzu dog named Jolly. And his treats I call them cookies to him. Well, when you said, “ I have a Jolly and I have a cookie” lol my Jolly come alive. Lol he heard you say that. It was so funny. Jolly is a fan of your videos as well as I. lol tell Cocoa Jolly says hello!!!

Just wanted to tell you there is a national flag day but I see others have commented. The largest national parade for Flag Day is in Three Oaks Michigan which is where my mother is from, I still have family there.
I cannot ever remember celebrating Flay Day, but I am sure we probably did. The 4th of July was always a huge deal for us, so it has probably overshadowed my memories. Anyway, so glad you still have family in Michigan and hope you get to visit them often. Dena

You were wondering in your June word play why there was a woman holding the American flag - I have two thoughts on that… one could possibly be our new Federal holiday Juneteenth; the other might be Flag Day which is the Honor America Days period which lasts for 21 days from Flag Day (June 14) to Independence Day (July 4).
