Just bought a new reveal 7 tripelshot..noticed when i first powered it up screen FLICKERED badly for a minute then it shoed reg screen,,when i fixed stopped sonar the graph will not scroll
I think I had the same problem. Nothing shows up on the screen while using any of the scan. I'm not sure now if that was the problem?

So funny. I just talked to a woman yesterday at Lawrence customer service while I was anchored on the lake I just launched on for walley. It was my first time out with the Hook 2 reveal triple. I was so exited as I had all my settings for side scan, bottom and sonar installed per Tom Boley, who is the best fishing teacher and catcher of fish because of his experiences (you should check him out if you haven’t yet. I had to be on the phone with the first rep for half hour to get the stopped of my screen. Then it came back after rebooting it! AAARG. This morning I talked to a guy again at CS and I now have an appointment with him whenever I’m on the water again, so sad I was so fired up to fish non-blind! Now I find this video hours later and it’s fresh.
Did Lawrence contact you Night and Day Marine?
I haven’t watched this video yet but I’m about to hit play. Will let you know when done. One of the CS people told me mine needs updates to work. I say it should work straight out of the box without updates. We shall see.

It seems by default that my fishfinder starts up with the sonar deactivated, is there anyway to alter this or do I have to use your method everytime I turn it on?
You shouldn't have to. Make sure your transducer plug is pushed in as far as it can go before turning it on. And you might also try a soft reset and see if that helps. Also if you are turning it on before launching your boat into the water than can also be a cause.
does this cause the depth to stop az well
I have the Hook Reveal 7 double shot. When moving at approximately 30-35 mph my unit stops showing the depth and shows 2 ft for the depth. If I restart my unit it corrects itself then will do the same thing again. What would cause this?
@@huntincrazyj cavitation. Those units are pretty terrible when it comes to loosing depth and then reaquiring it again.
@@huntincrazyj not much you can really do except maybe adjust your transducer up or down a little. Slight adjustments can make a big difference. Or if u think it's about to drop out cuz your moving to quickly you can activate the stop sonar and then when u slow back down deactivate it.
Maybe you can help me. Mine is frozen on the initial screen where we accept the warning. It never moves on to start. How do I get to move on?
Whay display do you have? Might try a soft or hard reset.
Night and Day Marine, I have not been able to get back on the water. See the comment below. I did what this video explains on the water, but upon reboot, It came back. Has anyone else experienced this after the fix mentioned here?
My Hook Reveal does not work in simulation mode. It does not show the full sonar screen.
What does it show instead? Demo mode isn't on is it?
@@nightanddaymarine8823 I checked that the simulator was on but I see I had to select a simulator file. In normal mode I get a grainy sonar screen, unreadable, but downscan looks fine. I have also selected the correct transducer (splitshot)
I had this problem and I thought it was an easy fix. But it's still not picking up the transducer. Sometimes it works on the water sometimes it doesn't drives me crazy
Make sure u have the transducer plugged all the way in. Their are three rings on the plug and all 3 should be pushed into the back of the display to where you can't see then anymore.
@@nightanddaymarine8823 k ill just have to make sure next time I guess got the tripleshot it's on a hobie kayak. Last time I went out all I used was the maps to have an estimation of the depths lol
@@nightanddaymarine8823 I have done that and it still doesn’t register the transducer. Maybe updates are necessary to make it work?
@@chrissnineyearwildlifejour9525 it is always a good idea to update your display to the latest version. Not sure if it'll fix the sonar problem but you never know. Iv seen crazier things...

Night and Day. On a Hook2 5, what setting is used to detect your lure on the sonar screen?
There isn't really just one specific setting. I would turn your ping speed down just a little bit, lower your surface clarity filter, and make sure your running high chirp and not just 200 kHz. Those things should help you see the lure. Tho it also depends on the size of the lure as well. If it's too small it may not pick it up.

My split screen does not show the GPS map at all. Do you have any ideas? Thanks

@@nightanddaymarine8823The first default split screen. The left side GPS shows a white blank with the arrow. No current map loads up.

@@congsan3528 that's the reason then. The X series doesn't come loaded with maps and you can't add any to it either. It only has the ability to use the Genesis Live feature and create custom maps with your sonar as you drive the boat around.
My screen is black.
Mine did that. Luckily a Facebook page I was on pointed me in the right direction.
