Very Cool. In 1976, Johnson came out with this "Javelin" model. White with the later used Orange/grey decals. Loved it. Came with factory installed TNT. My dad had a 1976 115. I was 16 then. Best motor ever. Ran 35 years (and probably still is running).
I grew up with a 77 Johnson 115 on a ‘77 Glastron. It was the first year of the new decals and all while motor, still with no tell tale. I love the way the cowls look on these old 70’s V4’s.
This vintage of 85hp V4s are some of the best outboards produced by any manufacturer...Rugged, reliable, and easy to diagnose and repair....Take good care of that power trim unit though, don't use it in salt water....
