I kinda expected it van not mentioning the switch successor I’m anticipating a big title on switch to send it off just like Nintendo did in the past with their previous consoles
they won't have a big title to send off the switch
when Nintendo president made that post about the direct in June, he also stated the direct will not have any talk about the switch successor, i don't know why you thought he was lying or they would change their minds, they never lie and never change their minds, there's going to be massive amounts of games in the 2nd half of the year
I truly believe people feel entitled to Switch 2 information 🤷.
Nintendo stated there would be no information regarding Switch successor and yet here we are

I think we will get another presentation about the Switch 2 in the near future.
Nintendo’s team is full of experts at letting the fans down
They literally said "There will be a Nintendo Direct in June and we won't talk about the Switch successor" and you say that you expected them to talk about it before they re-iterrated that they won't. I mean, we are our own's worst enemies.
Top 3 guesses I have: XCX remaster, an F-zero game of some type (remaster possibly), and of course Metroid 4. I feel like Metroid 4 could be cross gen, or enhanced later on the Switch 2. Lastly, a Nintendo surprise that can be almost anything.
Switch 2 News is very late this year or early next year. I think the earliest we get info is October. I think they are trying to make it through the holiday without showing anything.
This presentation is likely remakes/remasters and some final third party announces for switch 1. They can absolutely fill the 40 minutes it's just going to consist heavily of remakes and remasters. Biggest new title that could be here is prime 4.

@terrysyvertson9205 I get the feeling they are trying to sell switch 1 for 1 more holiday so it's probably correct.
I theorized a while ago the reveal and showcase will be the same event because of the logic they want another holiday for switch.
