To me, it's clear in the scene that he's so confused and doesn't know how to react to this
Arin isn't a bad person but him saying that was selfish and stupid considering what had happened in the previous ten minutes, as for the other ninja I think they are hiding the pain of Kai because they know that they can't let it distract them from stopping Ras before he does something worse

I honestly think he was just in shock as well as over excited. Like everything happened so fast and with kai gone, the protal closed and the excitement of using throwing spinjitzu. Caused him to have mouth diarrhea. Which is fair. A lot of stuff just happened in a short period of time.

Yeah. Guess Lloyds just gotten that used to seeing fake out deaths he doesn't care anymore. Definitely hope in part 2 all the characters actually address the fact that it should be nigh on impossible for Kai to return (I know he's more than likely going to but the characters don't know that) and so they grieve for him as he should be dead in their minds as he shouldn't be back for a few thousand years. Really felt off seeing only nya and wyldfyre grieve as just look at Lloyds reaction to nyas disappearance. Also hope we get skylors reaction to it just so we can see her again

The first time I watched the ending of this episode, I literally did NOT notice this about Arin first, but how Lloyd was basically talking about the amazing achievement of Arin using âobject spinjitzuâ and I got kinda mad that everyone else was just comforting each other about losing Kai, except Lloyd and Arin. (I noticed Arin after Lloyd). Also in season 1, when Lloyd, Arin, and Sora first found Nya, Nya and Lloyd talked about how Kai âwas goneâ and Lloyd also got sad, but hereâŠdidnât even care. Not sure how I feel so much anymore, because Ninjago will probably show more in Season 2 Part 2, but until then I guess I just have to wait.

I'm pretty sure that evil jay is just what they are calling jay in the sets but in the actual series he will just be an opponent for the ninja to face in the tournament, not knowing who he or the rest of the ninja are. However if he does use shatterspin, that would be pretty sick.

Also didn't Jay do something similar to what Arin said back during Ninjago Season 1 Episode 10 The Green Ninja just after they lost the third Fangblade AND the dramatic reveal of Lloyd being the Green Ninja?
Thatâs kind of different. They still had it think 2 fang blades so they still had a chance to stop the great devourourer from being released, so it wasnât super bad. But I would be absolutely furious if someone MORE MATURE asked if we won even though I lost someone I loved so much.
He's basically confused, sure the quote might seem out of place, as he is was trying to make a joke but like, we've had a lot of intense action, the story needs some of these moments to relieve it a bit (if you watch the whole finale closely you'll notice there are quite a few of silly moments). Secondly, humor is a way to cope with a grim reality and to avoid being overwhelmed by stress, Arin is still a teenager, he doesn't have 15 seasons of experience like the original Ninjas, he's already brave to being there and fight. Besides, I'm pretty sure he simply put into words what everyone is thinking there, no one was expecting the villains to vanish (Not even the villains themselves, safe for Ras, just look at Cinder's reaction) and their first move is to go see the Cloud Kingdom monks for knowledge about it.
As for Lloyd, one needs to remember Arin was struggling all season, he failed his training, feels like he isn't enough because he has no elemental power, hurt Egalt, got destroyed by Ras, and has made no progress with his Spinjitzu and his Spinjitzu throw. Add to that the fact he hasn't found his parents yet and you get a young ninja that is slightly unstable and facing huge self-esteem issues. And Lloyd has seen this, and he probably understands the feeling, so he is trying his best to be a teacher to Arin in this vulnerable moment. That's why he's smiling and congratulating Arin for his (fake, but only Sora and Wyldfyre know that) to boost his self-esteem, he's doing it to show Arin he is proud, and to encourage him to continue, to regain his confidence.
Confidence which will shatter when that secret is revealed, that's probably where his character arc is heading, I don't think it's a coincidence if his Tournament suit has some more dark blue and replaces the slightly green belt.
Seems painfully obvious to me but sometimes I wonder if I watch the same show as other people -w-
With Lloyd, it's not that he wasn't showing it as much as nya or wyldfyre but the fact he never even made a passing mention to it or went over to nya like he didn't even notice it'd happened which just felt off
Of course Erin isn't wrong for saying that! In fact this sort of thing happens to the other characters when they didn't understand much!

Uh yes they do, the only way to bring Kai back is the next Blood Moon, which will happen in 1000000000000 years later, so yeah.

Quick Arin theory. What if Arin is the first spinjitzu master at the start of his journey, and by the end of the series, we'll find out that the elemental master of time will send Arin back to the start of time the the first realm to take the place of the first spinjitzu master.
I saw it more as a "Did we even win? We stopped most of the ritual, but we lost Kai and the enemy disappeared, so can we really call that a win? Or was that a loss?" on top of him being inexperienced.
Idk, that's just how I imagine he meant it, but I think the voiceline should've been said differently.
Yeah sure it's not good that Kai was sucked into a vortex where bad elemental masters are trapped and Arin maybe goofed, but he's a teenager. How many times did the Ninja false celebrate. I'm thinking with Lloyd he just knows they will save Kai and probably he's also become numb with Kai constantly disappearing on him. Also he is probably trying to NOT worry Arin so much as the poor kid is already struggling with his status as a Ninja. As for Cole well he's got so much going through his mind, and Zane is probably trying to run any possible way to open the portal without the Blood Moon through his mind. It's just one of those times where all the Ninja show how they handle these situations differently.
Arin have a great potential and I believe in him for being an super cool character without elemental powers just an spinjitsu who he creat him self
Maybe people hate Airin and Lloyd more because of all the ninja they were the ones who didn't seem to care.
Arin needed to realize how great the price was paid during the battle. Of course, he, Lloyd, Cole, and Zane mourn Kai; they just don't show it.
I personaly liked Arin in first season.But in second season I was mad that Arin only talk about how he don't make any progress.And if he join Raz in part 2 I gona hate him totaly
i dont even think the writers accounted for that, they were probably trying to show he was confused if everything disappearing was good or bad.
They are all under adrenaline and it also depends on where you were involved in the battle to have an overview of the situation. Not everyone is aware of everything at the same time. Lloyd was very anxious about this battle so relief is his first emotion. He is sad later. There is a time for every emotion.
In defense of Lloyd, he is Leader.
And as Leader, you can't show emotions like sadness. Since it would demoralize those under you.

I'm so annoyed with the people that hate Arin, I know that it's their own opinion but really how do you hate someone because he was confused whether they won or he whines over everything, they didn't hate Kai when he whined about losing his powers or nya feeling useless in season 11, but because he's the new Ninja and he complains for like half a season they hate him and keep comparing him to the other ninja, I get it was a bit weird for him to say that but to hate him just for a line is just immature.

I know this is out of the discussion but I think arin might be the successor of Master WU ....... I am thinking this cuz everybody had their own spinjutsu colour or smth but Arin had the same color as Wu (at least similar if not the same ) over the story we did saw that elements affect the spinjutsu color for example Kai has red Jay has blue (lightning ) Zane had smth similar resembling ice and Cole had brown ( resembling earth ) . So if my theory is correct .... Arin might be the new master of creation (after Wu died )

To be fair, I personally reacted to all of it. I think it's unfair to focus on just Arin. I think most of them reacted poorly. I mean, I said immediately after watching this that I think they were not reacting strongly enough, and Lloyd was too smiley, it bugged me. So, I'm kinda ticked off at all of them lol. I said, Kai just gets sacrificed, and they are all just like, man, that sucks....OK, moving on bro! Like, what?? I had a similar reaction when Sensei Garmadon was sacrificed, only even then, they honoured him more than they did for Kai, who they don't even know if he's alive, or can come back, or whatever. I think it was a bad move from the writers, because it takes away from the seriousness of the moment, and makes these things seem more hollow. It loses the heart.
Honestly, when this happened on the show, I was upset, but my child was even more. Right after Kai got sucked into that void, they had tears well up in their eyes, and then they turned the show off, and said, 'That's it, I'm DONE with these people!' lol my child is only 8 years old. She thought that Kai was dead at first, and she was SO upset! I was also, but I said, let's just wait, and see, I really don't think they would make Kai die, that would just be so stupid, lots of fans would be angry....so we carried on watching, and lo, and behold, he's thankfully still alive. But yeah, the way the show dealt with that loss imo was really lame. This is KAI. One of the mains! Come on.
This has always been a thing in Ninjago except it was Jay instead of Arin, so when it happened I didnât really think much of it, especially since I had already assumed that Kai and Bonzle werenât dead. I donât think this is something that is meant to be dissected, but rather something to keep it appropriate for the audience. Also, the end of the battle was pretty abrupt. It was sort of a blink and you miss it kinda moment, so in that sense I understand Arin.

My opinion: Yes, I don't like Arin, and it is my opinion, we are all free to have an opinion. My opinion is that now the ninja is too much with him Sora Wildfire etc (yes I don't like all the newbie ninjas). So because it is too much some of the ninjas are hidden like Jay, and they say "Ohhhh they are better than the real/og ninja" or "Ooohhhh they will be the most powerful ninja" I felt like they replacing the og ninja from being the greatest. And I hate them sm more for more reason.
I can understand this. I don't hate the new characters, but when they suggest in moments on the show that they might be 'better' ninjas then the other ninja, that really irritates me. I think that would be a huge mistake, and take away from what the ninjas have already done, especially Lloyd, the grandson of the FSM. How in the world could any other ninja be 'better' than him, much less some newbie with zero ties to the FSM? It just goes against all the lore we know so far. How does this random kid just learn wonky spinjitzu out of nowhere, and then Lloyd is saying to him he could be the greatest ninja ever? We're to believe he can just do this right away also, while training with the dragon masters, instead of the many years it took all the ninja to develop their skills? That's kind of a slap in the face, you know?
I mean, the LEGO sets released a rising dragon Arin. Which means somehow he accomplishes what Kai does, an elemental master with years of experience. Arin somehow figures it out?? @@chloelovecats_roblox Not really. People are just not used to reading anymore, and I don't use a smart phone, I use a desktop, and touch type. It takes me about 30 seconds to write that up there. Most of these youtube videos are near a half hour in length. Not this one obviously, but a lot of them on this site. But we think reading is harder than watching things. I hate smart phones.
