I'm 42 and just now figuring out this wood stuff on my own. My dad was never interested in this sort of thing, so it's up to me and the Internet to learn - so thanks, Drew. Assuming I keep my fingers and learn some more, I intend to pass on what I have learned to my daughter. Assuming she doesn't skip directly to rocket surgery.

Drew, I found you channel about 6mths ago, and I'm still working my way thru the backlog of videos. This was a great project, but the final couple of minutes, seeing how your craftsmanship allows you to give something back to the person who taught you how to work with wood is just great. Certainly got the feels from this one! Thanks for your humility, your ability to laugh at yourself, and your strength of character that is the foundation for these.

You're such a hard core family man! thank you for being such an inspiration! I truly mean that. In everything you do, what I've seen up to now, I see your warmth, and clearly it was handed down to you from your father and his father. And I recognize my own father and myself in that tradition, and it is heart warming to know that you show us that it still exists. Fabulous way to honor and celebrate the legacy of the Fisher family. You have inspired me to dust off some equipment and get to work creating in wood again. Great video drew. That was awesome that you did that for your pops. Kinda got a lil teary thinking about me and my father making my soap box derby car in our basement in like 1977. Woodworking was the one thing we seen eye to eye with. I think its great that your starting to get your son involved. Even if its not good let him know that its awesome. ..lol take care and thanks for the video bro

That was really good! Watching the news and seeing all the crazy out there, so your humor and the project was a nice distraction. Thanks!
