- Ever see the original 1955 Lincoln Futura? Here's a hint...yes, you have. It's the car that was turned into the first Batmobile by George Barris. Today I ran across a beautiful 1957 Lincoln Premiere, which was heavily inspired by the Futura. See the resemblance? Let's check it out!

Awesome..the pretty car, i like this
I've never seen one of those . Beautiful car. Also, yes , stop at every lemonade stand !
While watching an old video over the weekend, I noticed another one like it, but unrestored. I guess that's not the first one I've seen after all! lol
Thanks for watching, dude!
Here is another "should of" story...back in 1970, I was stationed in San Diego, in the Navy...I decided to check out an ad for a 57 Lincoln--$600.(!) So, I could not believe what this older guy had..his 57 Premiere, with 32,000 original miles!...Same color as this one, but a 4 door model..anyway, bought it, and drove it around for about six months...but then, decided that I did not want to drive it the 1100 miles, back to my Seattle home, so upon separating from the Navy, I sold it--for $600 again!. I was ignorant about cars back then....I have learned better, in the ensuing 52 years!...That car was just perfect.
Been there. The good news is, you got to drive it for all that time and enjoy it! Thanks for watching and commenting!
OUTSTANDING!!!
Such beautiful lines on that car. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I remember seeing a '57 coupe at an independent used car lot in the mid 80s.. in another great 50s color, lavender/lilac. The trunk was so big on that car, it could've easily slept 4... lengthwise!
They sure did have some beautiful colors back then, both inside and out. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@mohawkgarage that color was wisteria. the colors had to be awesome. such beauty
@@MsBenlane Agreed! There are some nice colors out there these days, but they are mostly pearls with lots of depth. The 50s colors truly were beautiful.
Beautiful car!!! I'm more partial to the 56 Premier!
Thr '56 is gorgeous, too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I *love* the triangle window of the '56 sedan!
Wow! That Lincoln is beautiful !
It is among the most beautiful cars I've ever seen being driven and not in a museum. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome car and that trim ring on the window winder looks like it would be used on a shower mixing valve.
I thought the same thing about the trim ring! lol
Thanks for watching and commenting!
I have one of these too. It's not a convertible and it's not a fraction as nice as this one but it's my favorite 50's car ever
Mines also a 4 door because I wanted a looooong car
The styling is over the top! So gorgeous. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Willow green by the way.
What a great color! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@mohawkgarage I got a 56 Ford I want to paint that color. Looking for paint codes.
@@TheGeorgiaMediaGroup I love mid-50s Fords, especially Victorias.
